I've found Senri videos like what, 6 years ago when she was doing K-ON drum covers. She always had that smile on her face that told you she loves what she's doing. It's great to see that after all those years, she never lost it ans is still having a blast playing her drums. You don't often see musicians that happy and dedicated to what they're doing nowadays. Keep on rocking Senri!
Same here fam, I started watching her in the k-on era, I was about 11 years old and wanted to play the drums too but I didnt really have a set, I bought myself one not long ago and everytime I see her Im happy for how succesful she is and in the same time sad because how shit I am at the drums.
My fav Senri vid because the other 2 are enjoying it as much as she is. Very few have her ability and even fewer can match her positive energy but these two guys do pretty darn well.

Bought the c.d. from Japan after first seeing this a few years back,still one of my favourite discs of all time.Why can,t we get her recordingsin the U.K.? Mind you I have been able to get the Jazz Avengers so things are looking up.Fantastic musicians .
The DVD of this performance shows far more of Senri's brilliance than the majority of these videos. Simply extraordinary. Thank you, Senri, for being a truly superb MUSICIAN.

I first discovered Senri many years ago & I considered her then to be one of those interesting young Japanese "you tube artists" & never really followed her much after that. After seeing this I'm impressed. She's playing jazz with two very accomplished artists, Philippe Saisse & Armand Sabal-Lecco & she's never a step behind. She can definitely hang out with the big boys. There are many very good drummers but can they play jazz? Senri definitely can!
I love watching musicians who are obviously having SO MUCH FUN playing together. These three are each superb musicians in their own right, and together they're just incredible. Oh yeah. And Senri is the goddess of the kit! THANK YOU!

I think that they are out of this world...Literally! I'm pretty sure that i saw an occasional third arm pop into existence from the middle of her chest to handle the ride cymbal. Im guessing that something similar is happening between the bass drum and the high hat! I liked the little "tickle me Senri" that the bass player did at 5:27
Senri plays her heart....and has no problem keeping up with her two band mates....ever....! She smiles because she genuinely loves what she is doing! So do I....❤❤
You need to listen to Thomas Lang then, most likely who Senri looks up to. Thomas is the best drummer on the planet, he can play anything, any style, any speed, for any length of time.

I think it's the same with all drummers. Every great drummer has their own individual way of moving. Watching them play gives an extra dimension of pleasure. It's endlessly fascinating, even for a non-musician like myself.
I have no words to describe what Senri Kawaguchi has achieved in such a short time, getting better all the time a drumming Jazz/Rock fusion star and already a legend. I'm in awe. Inspired, music is in good hands.
There is a video made when she was I think around 16 playing with the fusion guitarist Guthrie. The camera is right beside her drums. One of the more amazing performances.
Superb musicians, all three of them. Senri simply masters every component in her kit with an almost unbelievably precise meter, surfing waves of time-signature changes that would trip up 99% of the drummers in this world. THANK YOU!

This is just a sample from the DVD. It is fantastic. The sound quality is so much richer than this although this is very nice. I ordered this from YesAsia when it was first released. Got to the USA in 14 days and was very reasonable. You must get this to see and hear the entire set to appreciate how well they sound together. Love Senri!!!
