My first time hearing/watching Senri Kawaguchi I just broke down crying! I had no idea how accomplished a drummer she is. I could feel evrything she did. And I felt so much pride in my heart for her. That was maybe 4 yrs ago... maybe 5.
What a beautiful guitar solo!! Glad Chizuru didn't cover it up with lots of effects. Likewise for Marie's piano playing - really beautiful ideas. All of the members of JA are so badass!! I hope we get to see the complete versions of some of the tunes highlighted in this clip - they sound great!!

I swear I think Japan may be the epicenter of jazz right now. All these girls are so super talented! And I broke out in sweat just watching Senri hammer those drums. She must have burned up 15,000 calories on this one! Everyone is over the moon here!

Most of them had performed together in different groups or led their own bands for quite awhile - the current line-up was originally called "Senri's Seven" for a one time event - ruclips.net/video/gr72gLTnTZU/видео.html We're all glad they stayed together, and "Jazz Avengers" is a better name, IMO. All the sax players are music school grads - Senri studied privately - not sure about June, Marie, and Chizuru…
I really wanted to see them live, so I drove 3 hours to the album release tour hall, I was able to watch from the second row. The performance was amazing and friendly beyond expectations. Unfortunately fancams were not allowed. I think they should go on overseas tours like BAND-MAID. And I definitely want to see that fancam.
