FYI that housing you took off was an improved design aftermarket NAPA replacement housing made of cast aluminum instead of the OEM style steel like the one you put back on. It was made of aluminum to solve the issue these have with the steel thermostat housings leaking with time due to the different expansion/contraction rates of the steel housing and aluminum manifold. It also removed the annoying "FRONT" tab that's on the steel housings. Personally I would have cleaned that existing housing and reused it. I have one on my 96 ZJ 5.2. Bought the aluminum housing in 2016 after fighting with leaks with the steel housings. NAPA no longer sells the aluminum housing. The part number on it just gets you the OEM style black steel housing.
