My son just signed up! They put c school in his contract
How? I thought meps can’t give you c school?
I want to join as well with the same c school but my recruiter and other people have told me that you can’t get c school and I want to know if you could help me, I would like to know how he got it? Did he just ask for it because of navy highly undermanned.
Hi I’m currently in xray cschool
Hi, I want to apply, what are the pre-requisities?
did you have reservist classmates?
Great video! Very interested in going to the navy for this
I want to go this route but some people are saying they are getting C school at meps and some say they aren’t. My question is how so I can be able to get c school too
you can get certain c schools at maps but you'll definitely be able to choose in A school. I got to choose X-ray tech in A school and I'm in the school now.
@@aubrie5283 Hi,I just finished A-school and came back to my town as reserve. Is it possible to get the c-school being a e-1 and how often or which months does the class start?
also phase1 #weeks and phase2 #weeks and location?
thank you!
Hello, I am a radiologic technologist, I have an associate degree, I have always wanted to join the Navy, I plan to continue studying and become certified in CT, MRI and sonography, I am looking for information about radiologic technologists in the NAVY and I can't find much. I want to know if I can enter the Navy practicing my profession and continue studying with them.
My daughter is thinking about joining the Navy and wants to be an X-Ray tech, but it seems you have to join as a Hospital Corpsman and then apply, not sure how that works. Does the Navy send you to radiology school or do you have to have it prior to joining? Can you sign up for this specialty through the recruiter? Thanks for any help...Great video by the way.
Same i also want to know as well i recently got denied from my rad tech program at my community college so thinking about doing the navy and seeing if i can get it done thru the navy but idk if its guaranteed if i can get the job i want 💯
@@brandonn_9733 unfortunately I don’t believe that you can get a contract for the c school before hand at this time. However, the rad tech program in the Army and Airforce is a specific pipeline so it would be something you agree to before hand. I hope that answers your question.
@@rxavier3108 i see thx for the info and for your service as well stay safe💯
Do you think EMF Bethesda has enough resources to send a reservist to L17A for c-school?
Do I need to be e-4 to apply for x-ray as 2024?
I just graduated from HCB as e-1
Can you do dental assistant and dentist hygienist
yes
How much moving around/travel do you do? Im thinking of joining for 2 things, 1. i wanna travel to other countries and 2. I wanna leave the navy with a degree for xray tech. Not making a career out of it, so idc about ranking up or watever..
I’m a Corpsman and I get out of the military next year. I tried to put in a package for X-ray Tech at my first command but they lost it twice sadly. No I have a chance to resubmit my package for X-ray Tech. I am taking my last class in college for my associates in applied health sciences now. Should I get out and do what I can or reenlist and try X-ray Tech C-School? Just looking for your opinion on this.
if I already have my associates in x-ray technology do I have to go to C school? Also if I wanted to make a career out of this occupation can I do my bachelors in MRI/CT technology through the Navy?
Any updates?
Would you advise me to finish my undergrad degree (BS in exercise science) and do the Reserve as an HM and then do C school when I go active duty after my undergrad? I want to be a rad tech, I am halfway through my undergrad degree at a school not accredited by ARRT, and my undergrad degree isn't in radiology. Would it make more sense to put my undergrad degree on hold, do active duty, go to A school, go to C school, and then sit for the ARRT exam? Pass the exam and then finish my undergrad degree online while I am a rad tech for the Navy? Just trying to figure out what works the best for me. Thanks!
So this one is up to you, personally I wouldn’t go the navy route as that wouldn’t be your quickest way in becoming a rad tech. There would be so many things in the way. A main issue with your plan is that you may not even get the C school. I don’t believe it’s something that can be contracted in your enlistment. Finding a civilian Radiology program would be most beneficial to you in my opinion.
Hey Xavier, I am currently a practical radiology tech. I am interested in becoming a full RT! Would you think it would be a simple transition for me to become a tech for the navy?
Please answer this. I have the same exact question. lol. I'm still about to go to Xray C school tho. But later on, interested in RT.
We’re you able to pick rad tech in A school or at meps , can you tell me your steps when trying to go for rad tech in the navy ?
So basically the way it works for the Navy is that you got to MEPS, get the HM job contracted and then once you go through boot camp and on to “A” school, you may have the opportunity to choose the school during that time.
What I did was go to “A” school, go to my first duty station, work on the programs perquisites, and then put in for it there. That was a two year process for me. For others it may sometimes be shorter than that.
