@TheDetourDuo definitely not. Long time sub, happy to have you back. Fare drop is just a money grab from K&N imo, but I'm happy you got the experience regardless.

Wow so much to love about this video! Especially since I’m literally about to leave my house and drive up to Georgetown this morning, our next family adventure is to London in early November, and our next video (either this weekend or next weekend) is about our European Christmas market experiences last year 😂so many coincidences! I’m so happy that Faredrop brought me to you guys and I can’t wait to keep following your adventures!
I’m new and a little out of the loop but welcome back. In response to the question about where to next, I can never get enough Greece content. So if you can swing it, that would be awesome. If not, maybe the Algarve. I feel like there’s not enough GOOD content on YT from there. Just one guy’s opinion ✌🏽
And it's a great opinion. You're right about Algarve. Portugal in general is really high on our list, but we want to give it some time while there is still hostility toward over-tourism. Plus, we really plan out how to make it a video that shows how great the place is and how to be respectful/responsible tourist.
@@TheDetourDuo LOVE THAT! We're the opposites, we haven't been home since June and are itching to be back for a little while ourselves 😂 happy and safe traveling!
Don’t sleep on Costa Rica. Easy of the wallet, amazing food, locals are total legends! We stayed around La Fortuna…large ex-pat population there but still has that local vibe. Faredrop is killer and has saved us a lot. We travel on price, not destination. Travel is travel and regardless of the location, you’re going to learn, broaden your perspective, and support a local community. Looking forward to your next adventure. P.S. we’re doing a 5 country in 5 day Christmas Market run this year also…ending with the Krampus run in Austria on Dec 5. Vlogging our adventure!
That was actually supposed to be our first international trip together. We had tickets and accommodations booked, and a week before our flight, everything shut down. The year was 2020. but ironically, that trip not happening was the catalyst for finally deciding to make RUclips videos. Really want to see that krampus run. Just watched Kara and Nate’s video on it again and it cracked me up as much as it did the first time I saw it
Im hyped for the UK series! Y'all should go check out Garmisch in the German Alps sometime as well. Stayed there for a few days back in 2016 and it was a beautiful experience. When I went, barely anyone spoke english so it was a lot of pointing and and yes and no head movement and everyone was super friendly and accommodating. I stayed at the ATLAS - Grand Hotel (specifically that one, not the other Atlas hotel) and one of the places I ate at near it was Werdenfelser Hof. This place had live traditional german music and dancing, a bunch of drunk germans laughing outside all the time, and big portions of really good german food all on a beautful cobblestone road. Maybe split the plate you get or plan to be there for a few hours. When I asked the lady there why the portions were so large with no to go boxes, she says people here usually spend a few hours slowly eating their food and drinking and enjoy their time and sometimes sharing their food with new friends. I got the ham and potatoes and they gave me a WHOLE PIG SHOULDER! I could barely make a dent in it. 😭 It was really good though and cheap! I want to visit again someday and explore more. 3 days was not enough for me.💛 P.S. the hotel I stayed at did not have mini fridge or microwave so dont plan to keep much food in the room and there was no AC in them as well so plan accordingly. For the most part, the room stayed nice with the windows open at night. They are a more old style german room with modern bathroom which I absolutely loved. All wood walls and paintings and upon arriving they gave me a hot towel and a glass of wine. I got a good deal on booking.com at the time for this place. Luxury hotel with cheap prices, heck yeah!
pointing and head movements are my go to. Thanks for this. We're only spending a couple weeks in the UK this time around, budget is a little tight, so we're just going to drive through the Cotswolds and spend a few days in Edinburgh for Sara's friend's birthday. German entered our list of places when we had a layover there coming back from Italy. That sounds like it would be a really fun trip. Everything you just describe would be a great video and a really memorable experience
