Hi, came across your video while searching for LG reviews. I’ve had a Samsung that looks identical to yours that just died after about 5 years or so and am considering LG after a very positive experience with an LG two in one washing machine/dryer and someone else’s microwave. My Samsung was great but I agree it was too dark inside and the buttons are less sensitive than others but still perfectly usable. It just decided it had heated enough food amd chose to retire. Still makes all the right noises and the light goes on etc, but no heat. I’m not criticising Samsung, just posting my experience with this microwave. May just get another one and just keep going or the LG, will give it some more thought.
Thank you for sharing your journey. Strangely enough my experience with LG is polar opposite. The new fridge came in defective and 3x Neochief microwaves developed same fault after 2 years each. What's most disturbing is that LG service was almost equal 0. I'm not actually comparing Samsung to LG. But after do much trouble with the LG appliances I decided to stay away.
@@GregYurchenko My Samsung microwave died after six months, customer support is very hard to get a hold of
From my understanding it is less than a year old. Your place of purchase should totally take care of this with no excuse.
Looking to buy a Microwave after by Samsung MW123H dies after 15 years dies yesterday and came across your review which was very informative, so thanks for that. May I ask now that two years have roughly passed since this review, how is your Samsung Microwave holding up? Thanks in advance.
Still going strong. No problems. Thank you for watching.
@@GregYurchenko Thanks for your response and it is great to hear. I have now made up my mind. I loved what I saw in Panasonic, but really I thought that offering one year warranty sounded like they don't believe in their own product. I am going Samsung way too.
@@parthanandi9991 I'm glad I could help you to make your mind. One thing to consider though. Just remember I'm not affiliated with any brand. I say how it is based on my personal experience. There are people who are happy and not happy with literally any brand. So, I hope you are making your personal choice based on a number or considerations and not only my opinion, because it could be very subjective. Regardless, all the best with any MW you're going to proceed with. Thank you again for watching!
Real simple to choose. You go to a large appliance repair business that deals directly with Company’s Warranty’s..
And you asked the technicians who work on all the different kind of units what is the most reliable unit that you would buy for your self or your family as a gift? .
And you’ll get an honest answer directly from the technicians, who actually work on the .
Just like in any trade .
If you ask the workers you’ll get the correct answer
Totally agree, thank you for sharing. As simple and straightforward it is, the information will help many.
The button that opens up the door, did it loose quality or get stuck after a lot of use?
I use it A LOT, no problems with the door button so far (after almost a year of heavy use).
@@GregYurchenko Thanks😊😊😊😊
Great video mate u really like it I had the same issue LG I bought 42L smart but not smart I replaced it 4 times very bad product...u have made very good video...I only downfall of Samsung its not smart inverter and can't see what us cooking inside..
I am planning to but SHARP 1200w black smart inverter any advice please ??
From Melbourne
I'm totally with you on that one. After a lot of research and reading I'd suggest you make your decision based on following sequence. Size (litres) > power (watts) > warranty (lengths) > price > features (e.g. inverter, lights, timers, smart functions). I truly believe because most of them manufactured in Asia with little or no quality control brand names mean nothing. In my case I ended up with Samsung (2 year warranty) which I extended by another 2 and paid total of $270. Is this a best deal for the best MW? Definitely not. However it has right price for the bearable set of functions with warranty long enough to justify the price. Hope it helps. Thank you for watching!
Nice customer experience/product review
Thank you!
LG SolaDom Convection Microwave Oven is the Best I have ever had for the past 15 years only had to change the bulb once and still works perfectly. You can microwave heat food in tinfoil dishes plus with steel racks and it is a proper convection oven that preheats to 200c in two minutes. MA3884VC SolarDom Oven, 38 Litre Capacity, Charcoal Lighting Heater, True Oven with Bottom Grill under the rotating steel tray for even cooking. This will replace your kitchen oven.
Thanks for sharing your journey. I admit, I was mostly exclusively LG appliance believer 10 - 15 years ago. Something changed in the last 5 ish years. I got their fridge that arrived DOA. Then 3 of those microwaves gone with a same fault within a year of their use. What is worse... Is their support in Australia. As soon as I needed their help they did everything to make me feel like I need to work hard to get their support. I real, real hope that one day they can restore my faith in their product. However, as the aim of my channel is not take sides, but cast out my personal experiences with modern items... So here is my experience with them so far. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for watching!
I stilo have my Moulinex working after 25 years. What a brand 🤩
It is a great brand💪👍
How much does the glass plate cost if you break it?
Not sure, last time I needed one it was cheaper to get a new microwave...
It's been almost a year now. Do you still love it & is it still working well?
Yes, well spotted. I've been using it for a year now. I don't really love it, after all it is a budget microwave. It functions very well. Not failing like 3 of those LGs. Still would recommend it to any prospect buyer. Hope it helps. Thank you for watching.
@@GregYurchenkoany better microwaves out there? Or is this still going strong
@@Jarrod0306 they're all kind of pot of luck, it's just the LG failed me a couple of times in the row. Also, new LG fridge I bought arrived faulty. For now I'm abstaining from buying LG goods. The replacement Samsung microwave is still going strong. Thank you for watching. 🙏
Lolz, you got me at HN extended warranty. LG ones have served very well for me
Good for you. Maybe lucky. Amount of people that reached to me privately with similar concerns is overwhelming.
I read quite a few reviews about a LG microwave, and I am a fan of LG normally, where everyone on the review page said the microwaves were catching on fire. That scared me!
I still consider LG is reputable firm. Unfortunately they slowed down in Quality Assurance and also, probably cutting too much in manufacturing costs. For now I'll stay away from LG, but hope they'll regroup and come back stronger. Thank you for watching.
Omg! Mine’s doing that now!!!!! 😩
Okay! Thank you for this review and I get another brand now. I only had mines for 4 years.
@@sheenamcgee1242 So sorry to hear. I had it 3 times, I still believe in the future of LG, for now I will stay away until they improve their quality assurance and customer service.. Thank you for watching
I have 2 LG appliances in my house, 1 dial microwave that I plan to replace because after 10 years the bottom tray start to rust, the other is lg washing machine, also around 8 year old until my wife decide put some vodoo chemicals that damage the machine.
I have nothing but good experience with LG, LG always have top reliability score for its fridge and washing machine, not sure about their microwave and dishwasher. Which we might consider to purchase soon.
My Samsung fridge work but very noisy when the compressor kick in, all the plastic tray crack.
Again even with this in mind I will not just discounted 1 products just because 1 of them not perfect.
I'm 100% with you. LG appliances from 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago were very reliable and of the highest quality. In the span of 2 years (based on my previous amazing experience) I purchased LG NeoChef microwave that was failing with the same fault 3 years in the row. After replacing the 2nd one I decided if it happens once more I'll get another brand (honestly, didn't plan to go with the Samsung). The another one is I bough LG fridge/freezer which came dead on arrival. Not only i was bombarded with the bad quality LG goods their service in Australia is beyond shocking. Saying that, they're solid company and I real hope that they will lift up their game. For now I'll keep detailing my take on modern LG appliances as I experience them. Huge thank you for watching the video and sharing your LG journey!
can u give us the model number for ur LG microwave thanks in advance ❤
The LG that kept breaking was LG Neochief 42l inverter microwave. 🙏❤️
Hi. How is your MW doing at the moment?
2.5 years in. Using it a lot. Still going strong 💪
@@GregYurchenko thank man 👍
@@MrStalkerjad you're most welcome 🙏
@@GregYurchenko thanks to you, I decided to buy the same one. The main advantage is the large size and there are no unnecessary functions that I would never use.
@@MrStalkerjad wow, totally the same as at the time I was deciding to buy one. One more thing that was important to me is 1000 watt or more. The Samsung touched all important to me points.
I just installed mine and the display is that hard to read do you think mine is damaged ?
Thank you for watching... Mine is ok. I can't see inside because of the dim light, otherwise all ok. Hard to say without looking what you see...
@@GregYurchenko I have mine recessed into the cupboard and I need to turn the light on to even see the numbers thinks it may be a design issue
@@daveauscards may be, see what shop says
Had 3 magnetron failures in my LG MS4296OBS NeoChef, 42L Smart Inverter Microwave Oven. AVIOD THEM!
100%. People buy them because they're fancy and relatively cheap. People, it is not worth the hassle!
How do I turn on the mode PowerDefrost in Samsung 40L Microwave
Sorry, I don't. Microwaves are doing really or job at defrosting. They really destroy good products fibres. I tend to plan better and either defrost overnight in the fridge or in a couple of hours in a kitchen sink if needed to be faster. Thank you for watching🙏
@@GregYurchenko why?
@@user-oz8bo8xk7r not as good on my opinion
Mine, PCB damaged after a few years.
Yeah, they don't last... 🤕
Is it inverter ?
The microwave in the video isn't an inverter one.
We own a lot of high end rental properties and initially equipped all of them with Samsung products tv's to fridges!.... 3 years later we will never buy a Samsung product again. They look good buy they don't last. For example we have an LG american fridge in the garden under an open roof. Extreme example ... 20 years later that LG is still going strong. Many of our our Samsung fridges in nice kitchens did not last 3 years.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience!!!
why?
Because they consistently fail
