What a great video! An absolute pleasure to learn with you. Will most likely try this with my XV40 Camry (older, but still similar in a lot of the ways)
My friend, please help me, I cleaned the meter plate and I did not disconnect the battery, and I had a problem that after closing the engine, the fuel indicator does not return to the E, but it remains in place, and also the screen does not hang, it remains working even after I turn off the engine
Sounds like the fuel gauge was disturbed. Did you try to clean the inner surface and accidentally touch that gauge needle? I think disconnecting battery may not be absolutely required, I did it just not short anything during the disassembly and assembly. But did you disconnect all the cables in the back, it could be that you missed connecting all wires or connected some to the wrong place. I would double check that.
@@DIYLifeSkills Yes, I have already cleaned the indicator and moved it a little, but the sensor works well, but only when the engine is turned off, it does not return to the letter E, but it strays in its place, but I noticed that the next day I find that it has returned to its place and there is no problem, and then after the engine restarts, the problem returns again.
Sir , i have a 2005 lexus gs 300 and a have some questions & problems soo i hope you can help me with it if you could give me any of your accounts on social media it will be good for me thanks 🙏
This video was to show how to take out cluster completely in case they have a need. Lens can be removed once sufficient bezels are removed and cluster pulled out without wires disconnected…saving few mins but not much.
@@FREIGHTLINER66540 ahh. I got you now. I don’t think I would do that to a nice car but if it’s old beat up car with limited life left and lens is no good, that’s certainly an interesting option. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks so much for this video, I love the STEP BY STEP process and all the PRECAUTION MEASURES used during your work. Please keep it up.
Great. Did you just need to clean it or replacing the cluster?

That’s a good price. What happened to your lens?

What specific problem are you having?
I would just remove the lens, and NEVER, EVER, EVER, put them back in.

I’m not understanding the “never ever ever to put them back in”. What are you referring to?
@@DIYLifeSkills I meant I would remove the lens and never put them back on the cluster, so I would just put the cluster back in the car without lens.
@@DIYLifeSkills Anyway, what is the point of them, all they did is just wasted time and plastic at the manufacturer.
