just put mine in yesterday! here's my review
it did take about 2 weeks to receive all my parts. after I ordered they double checked to make sure I was ordering the correct trim/head unit (which added a couple days but id prefer that over getting the wrong piece) and it took a couple more days to finally ship. the head unit was shipped by UPS and so it came in much quicker than the trim which was shipped by Fedex. Here's the over all timeline. Ordered on April 30th, Shipped May 7th, received head unit May 9th, received trim May 13th.
Carmaspeed support did take a while to respond to questions when i asked but when they responded they were very helpful. Following this video made install very easy and ive literally never done any work on a car ever. everything was installed in no more than 30 minutes. the new head unit runs smoothly and is very nice quality. dont regret this purchase one bit.

@@JoseFuentes-pw8rw only feature that I’ve noticed that I no longer have is my steering wheel controls. They stopped working with the base radio anyway… but even after putting this one in they don’t work. Only thing I’ve noticed! Everything else is working great
I cannot thank you enough for this video. Bought a very similar aftermarket system to this, and was a breeze to install because of how well you explained and showed every step of the process

Are any features lost? Does the car retain the vehicle information such as tire pressures, miles till empty or the MPG graphs? Does the back-up cam still work the same?

How is the head unit?
Had the unit for a few months now. Love it! Just have an issue with the mic, my calls say they can barely hear me. Is there something in the software to boost mic volume? Or any way I can use my original OEM mic (preferable)?

Yes, you lose all of that important stuff.

All these are usually made in the same factory and are plug and play go back and make sure all you necessary wires are connected properly

I'm installing this setup this weekend on my 2013 Camry. I question why install a mic? Does the stock mic not work? I also wonder about GPS antenna placement. Wouldn't you want this visible to the sky or is it effective behind the head unit?
How did your setup come out? How much did you pay to but this and get it installed? I have a 2013 Toyota Camry and debating on doing this.
@@franksters08 I like the Idoing android auto and base Navi navigation in my grandaughter's 2013 Camry. This is not a plug and play like this commercial/tech. video shows. The lack of install info. that comes with this unit is amazing to me. The support from Idoing was very helpful tho. I paid a little over $400 for the unit and did it all myself. I wound up watching a lot of Idoing install videos on Youtude and at the Idoing site. If you have any questions, I'll try to help.
Did you have to install the mic or did the stock mic work?

As of may 2024 the wings/nibs have to cut off as he suggests to fit.
Everything else is spot on and fits easy just like the video
A+ video guide for an amateur like me. I just followed it and paused step by step.
Oh the little yellows clips break easy so be careful, I broke all 4 for the AC control but it seems to fit snug and tight so I didn't bother replacing it. Also when you're removing the 10mm bolts be very careful and have a magnet handy as he suggests. I lost one deep into the car
did you get a separate delivery for trim and head unit? I ordered from Carmaspeed, got the head unit delivered but no trim or bezel
@@mattkoch1456 Yes I did, head unit showed up first, then about 3-4 days later trim did. I was getting worried about it

I lost 1 10mm bolt and 2 10mm sockets falling into the car. Did you use a power screwdriver to remove the 10mm bolts at the bottom of the stereo/headunit or was it by hand?
Does this work with the XLE/JBL features; seven speakers, separate amplifier, XM radio, and integrated GPS antenna?

You’ll likely need additional harnesses since the JBL one is different

@@MicaelaZaratHernandez Install was relatively easy , had to go through a bit of trial and error on cable connection. Fit and finish is excellent. The FM/ AM radio signal is weak compared to stock. All in all, a huge upgrade and I am happy with it and makes the car more enjoyable

These have built in can bus all you do is go into radio settings and set the parameters takes 30 seconds
I can't get the steering controls to sync in the settings.

Steering controls work, use the contact info for idoing that comes with packaging and they will answer any questions you have.

The ac should work it has nothing to do with the head unit

He did not explain that. It says plug and play but it looks like he had a specific connector that might be used for the camera

Just installed yesterday in our 2013 Camry. I think the touch screen response and lab meets my expectations. I am only able to program the volume up and down buttons on my steering wheel. I'm not happy with this. @@ontheroad2journeyman284
