I replaced both but I still get the clicking noise and the fridge won’t cool
You have to watch the full video. Likely the soldering on the control board has gone bad. For me, just one spot needed to be resoldered to make it work again. ruclips.net/video/fLsdWS8KvF4/видео.htmlsi=4liMqPARYHXj0P2s
Just finished this little project, replacing the pump was not a problem. Getting through all of the underpinning to get to the pump was a PITA. Your next video should be on tricks to getting those aggravating push connectors in and out more easily.
Thanks for useful video for DIYer .
I don't know what some of you told Moen, but I tried twice to get replacement parts on warranty, and they absolutely would NOT do it unless, as the warranty terms say, you must be the original owner, and produce the receipt.
Maybe it depends on who you talk to? I had no receipt or purchase proof other than telling her I got it from Lowe’s.
@@DIYLifeSkills Fair enough, thanks. I'll try again. By the way, do you know anywhere on the web someone has posted the actual sizes of Moen 0-rings?
good vid
How long did this process take you?
Very nice.. can't stand bleeding money
Awesome video. Excellent detail. Saved me some headaches!
Glad they helped. Thanks for the feedback.
Camry 2018 ????
I don’t have that year car so I’m not sure how PCV is removed
What was the option that got these wheels?
I knew the history of this car from the time when they bought this is and carmax was offering $1700, so I gave him $2,000. I thought about keeping it but decide to flip it for $4600 price since we don’t drive that much these days and we had 2 other car already.
I needed new O rings for my Moen faucet for quite a long time. I replaced the cartridge 6 months ago but it kept leaking the same place yours is. I called them last week to order the O rings. I got them the other day but they didn't send instructions, so I watched your video here and did it as you did. It was effortless. Thanks so much for posting this.
Great job and thanks for the feedback.
Thank you, saved me a lot of time figuring out where the cables for parking sensors are.
How do you remove the sprayer they clips in? Mine is broken and I have a replacement
Watch 3:15 time mark on this video.
Thank you!
Just completed this job for the second time on a 2006 Highlander. The OEM gasket lasted 14 years. The blue gasket and plug seals lasted about 3 years. This time I went back with the OEM gasket and plug seals. The extra $40 to $50 bucks is well worth not having to do this job again in the near future. Looks like the guy did a lot more than just replace valve cover seals and spark plugs. I didn't have as much trouble with access in the Highlander except for the large wiring harness on the rear bank which I just used some zip ties to pull it out of the way and access to the rear valve cover bolts. I try not to disconnect too many wiring harness as the clips break and that does not give me peace of mind.
Great job. This is not a simple DIY. Yeah I usually also use OEM parts on cars that I plan to keep. As for plastic connectors breaking, just the connector plastic is replaceable and well the wiring and I have separate video on that.
Where can I get those ramps?
I got mine from Walmart
www.walmart.com/ip/5265533901
It’s called Rhino ramps.
@@DIYLifeSkills thank you
@@DIYLifeSkills the angle allows all the oil to drain?
Thanks for the video, the time and effort you put into this was great. Really informative and I'm happy the comment section is talking about it too. This issue is really annoying.
It’s very annoying and likely repairman will try to get us to replace the entire unit. Just $120 control board plus labor should fix the issue and delay the new replacement for several years.
@@DIYLifeSkills Hey when you said delay new replacement. Do you mean when it does the off and on thing, it is an indication that the whole unit is getting closer to fail and break? Like the new motherboard will hold it off for a few years then you have to replace whole unit or just another motherboard replacement?
What is the second sensor you disconnected?
At what time mark connector are you referring to?
@@DIYLifeSkills At the four minute mark. Just behind the MAF.
@@cmhwilder I try to find name but I can’t. But since it has a vacuum hose connected to it, must be some sort of vacuum valve control
@DIYLifeSkills thanks. If I find out I will reply with it
Vapor canister purge solenoid.
Will I be ok if the dipstick reads a little above the max mark on a cold engine?
Less than 1/8” over max should be OK, but if it’s more than 3/8” more, than you might want to take out some.
Engine oil has detergent so if engine parts that move up and down like piston arm, touch the oil in the pan, it can turn some oil into foam, which will inhibit smooth oil flow through various tiny holes in the engine. So it’s important to keep the engine oil close to max or just below.
@DIYLifeSkills ok I think it's less than an 8th thank you
You are very good at explaining and showing each step. I am working on my pressure washer and your instructions really helped. Thanks for your help
Oh thanks for the kind feedback.
I just bought a 09 Murano and was told the to replace the Accelerator pedal sensor and got no results. It doesn't rev up. Is this the limp mode for low tranny fluid? I didn't check it. I did hear a loud whining when 1st started, I thought it was the pw steering pump. Thanks much for any help!

Thank you sir, you helped me do my 1st oil change on my own on my 08 Lexus GS350
Great job. Thanks for the feedback
@@DIYLifeSkills 🤝
@DIYLifeSkills also the dipstick was reading the oil level at a little under the middle of the 2 dots should I add more until it's almost to the 2nd dot?
@@DIYLifeSkills this is after adding the 6.7 quarts
@@PanicNoCap you want it close to the max line without going over. Just remember that it takes 5-10 minutes for all the oil ti make it down ti the pan. So I usually try to get close to the max without going over or keep it just below the max line.
This reminds me of my neighbor. One Saturday morning, he was underneath his car at 9am doing some type of mechanical work. Finally, around 2pm, he stood up from underneath his car, all sweaty and his knuckles all busted and bleeding. I asked him, what were you doing? He said, "I was replacing the muffler, saved myself $60.00 bucks".
Never buy Nissan, they're not easy to work on and parts are expensive
Awesome video! Thank you. I just bought a similar older used Craftsman with a Honda motor, it works great, fires up first pull! But this will surely help if i ever have troubles with it later
My ‘13 Camry XLE doesn’t have any kind of problems, idle speed is perfect, however I’ll save this video for future reference 👍💪
Rock Auto is the best for parts resource.
Agree especially if you are buying multiple items to save on delivery charges, but shipping cost on buying one cheap item can make it costly.
I tried to do it without taking that air cover off. Now seeing your video I need to do it cuz it’s too hard to get the new bulb in.
Yeah air filter box removal is not too hard.
@@DIYLifeSkills the box removal wasn’t hard. I meant. Trying to do it without removing anything was hard.
I'll just buy a new one😂
I don’t blame you.
Thank you!
If you had to do it again would you blast it?
This cleaning is probably needed every 100K miles as it wasn’t as bad as some of the German cars that foul up really bad only after 30K miles. So due to the infrequency, I would probably just do it manually. To invest ~$500 for blaster machine and walnut powders, I would have to have more regular use to justify the spending.
Also, newer cars are moving away from GDI engine to dual (port and direct) injections so such carbon build up problem doesn’t happen. This is for older GDI engines only.
Mines keep freezing everything
There is temperature setting on the back. When I had it set to lowest setting overnight, the thermometer read 28f degrees, so it can freeze things.
If you watch 8:00 mark on this video, you can see the temp setting switch.
I put it in one n it still freezes everyrhing.
@@camachotr6546 Sounds like either the temp adjust switch is not making good contact to change the setting or the temperature sensor is broke and compressor runs near nonstop.
@DIYLifeSkills do u have a part number for the temperatures sensor?
@9:20 the part that you were trying to find its name is called an "intake air connector assembly".
I’m thinking hole saw and foam board for forms.
Yeah as long as use a plastic sheet like I did, otherwise, I think the cement will stick to foam.
Saw the donuts in FL a few years ago for less than $3 each. They sure have skyrocketed in price.
Yeah unbelievable inflation.
Great Video thx
Thanks for the feedback.
This guy is an engineer not just a mechanic! Awesome video and best way to repair the connectors which will fail because Lexus uses cheap plastic instead of durable rubber which can withstand the constant heat cycles of an internal combustion engine. If everything on Lexus engines was made from heat resistant rubber they would go 600,000 miles instead of 400,000 easy. Great engines Lexus, but why the cheap plastic connectors? Major design flaw - minus 500 cool points. PeanutButterMan - plus 500 cool points! TVH
This same problem has been around for over 20 years and I’m quite surprised that quality focused Lexus/Toyota has not improved this part. Thanks for the feedback.
good vid..Very informative and concose
Thanks for the feedback
What was the problem with the vehicle that you were trying to resolve?
This was just regular maintenance like replacing air filters. Dirty MAF and TB will lead to poor engine performance including check engine light and poor fuel consumption.
WD40 says that it can cause the boot to soften and expand causing blow out and severe damage. I see your sort by is Top Comments, so no one will see this.
EPIC video, NO BS great camera work! You sir deserve a sub!
Your video is the only one I could find with the upper bearing kit, the 'broken' crown piece. When I took it apart it fell out and wasn't sure where it went. Mine came with a small gauge O ring and the same O ring came with the new parts. Your install didn't have the O ring around the bearing kit and mine wouldn't go together with it in place...Thanks to your video, I seen the error of my ways and I corrected it so thanks, I subbed..
Good video😊
Thanks for the feedback.
What if the two holes by the tensioner are not there? Then how do you make the belt fit?
What year and model is the car? Nearly all cars have a way to loosen the belt so that you can remove and install it back. Some cars you have to loosen the alternator to remove and install the new belt.
Outstanding video thank you for explaining everything. The difficulties you had made this video even better, because these are the same problems that I'm having! Thanks again
Glad it’s helpful. Let me know how you finish up.
Greetings All. Can someone tell me what the part number is for the OEM spark plug that came with the washer? Thanks.
SP-L82YC-DL110, Champion L82Y, or NGK BP6HS spark plugs for Subaru Robin Engine Power Equipment EA190V 4-Cycle OHC 5.5 h.p
@@DIYLifeSkills Thanks for the quick reply. I also forgot to compliment you for the helpful video.
Can I just remove the PCV hose from the back side and pour a little sea foam or carb cleaner down the hose and let it sit a bit to dry and call it a day?
You're exactly right - it's EASY to forget how to get this thing back apart after not having done so in a year. Thanks for this VERY useful reminder!
Yeah half the videos I create are also for me to remember how it was done and the other half is to help others that are in similar situation as me. Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you for your video, it really helped a lot, my carburetor was dirty and clogged,l followed your instructions and I was able to get it running again 🙏🏼
Thanks for the feedback. Please note that this is a common issue for all small engines on lawn mower, pressure washer machines, snow blowers, etc. It’s nearly all the time the carburetor has clogged with leftover fuel.
