Wow, that's an amazing tutorial for flog. I tried a few others on youtube and this is by far the best I've seen, excellent help in understanding they whys of your choices, and am a newbie so the Powergrade was an excellent bonus I'll definitely be using. Greatly appreciated!
amazing setup for grading flog footage. I really struggled grading after applying the lut and always was wondering why I just couldn't grade correctly. thanks
I too have watched tons of this stuff trying to get a handle on davinci...this by far is the most simplistic and easy way of doing this. Well done Eric
Super vidéo, thank you so much. Though I’m very curious about your camara settings, my rushs in FLog2 don’t look the same at all, seems like there are way less colors 😢
nice. i already threw my fuji in the trash because the footage looked like it was filmed on a potato next to my sony footage. now the fuji footage looks better 😂
Thank you so much for this information. I was searching a lot for this. but can I ask you something... I have the fujifilm xt3 and the Atomos Ninja V. I set HLG HDMI output on the camera and record in to the Ninja V on Prores. The file recorded in the Ninja V is in F-LOG or other Ninja V profile ? Because I don't know if can I do what you explain in this video for this record setup. Thanks!!
If your HDMI out to the Ninja V is set to HLG then I believe the recorded footage would be in the HLG profile. However, I do not use an external recorder so I cannot verify for you.
Definitely. Is there a way to then use the powergrade in Fusion? Ignore if it's a lot of work to explain, you've helped and now I'm just asking for more! @@EricNelsonYT
Hey Eric, that was a very clear explanation. I got the Xh2s recently and shot some videos in Flog2 but when I import them in DaVinci, I only see audio with no video display. Do you what I should be doing here? Thanks in advance. Btw I'm on v18.6.4.
@@EricNelsonYT Appreciate your response Eric. I converted the .mov file to .mav on HandBrake and the 3GB file was now 11GB🥲. I see the video feed now in DaVinci.
How do you import the footage? Trying to import my footage from my X100VI into resolve (new user with it) but It wont display the footage, just the audio. 10bit H265 etc in *.mov container.
I graded fuji xs10 f-log and everything was good but after playing the export on my phone the color shifts, it gets extremely saturated ..tiktok is fine, but for Instagram and my phone media player the problem happens ..any suggestions?
Color grading noob here, maybe someone can help: How do I do this for F-Log2, does "F-Log" stay the same as input gamma? Why not use the conversion lut by Fujifilm? Because there is not bigger colorspace inbetween, or are there other reasons as well?
Note to others who came across this issue: Sinev Davinci Resolve 19, finally Flog2 is supported. Otherwise ArriLogC3 was almost the same gamma, so that could be used as well.
How can that be? When I shoot in flog with rec2020 then all recorded colors are in this rec 2020 space. The are no colors recorded outside this color space. So wenn I convert it into wide gamut why should there appear more colors if they are not recorded?
This should work for any log format so long as you pick the correct input color space & gamut input on your 1st CST node. I just checked & it appears that F-Log2 has a Rec2020 Color Space... However Davinci Resolve 18.5 does have the F-Log2 Input Gamma yet & I am not sure what the correct workaround would be. Some people say ARRI C is a useable Gamma, but I cannot teat that myself as I do not have a camera with F-Log2 at the moment
Just testing this workflow for fLog2, it looks amazing! better then any other method I've tried for fLog2 colour management in Resolve. Thank you! @@EricNelsonYT
I have watched 10 different videos on the “right” way to grade ffLog footage. This is the only one that makes proper sense.
I appreciate that

This is brilliant! I never understood how to use the cst properly and just used fuji's conversion lut. Thanks so much
The best and simplest explanation of this I've found. Thank you!
This is an amazing tutorial, that will save you A LOT OF TIME! Invest in watching it, saving it and following it! Thank you!
Do you have a similar video for S-log 3? Great video
This is incredibly useful info and has helped my footage look delicious. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Thanks a lot for this. It's clear and precise.
A biiiiiggg thanks from India...
It helped me a lot to have good color grading to videos....thanks a lot❤❤❤❤

Oh, thank you, that looks very helpful!
Thank you for this valuable information. Could you please guide me with cst inputs for fuji HLG?
Excellent work flow Thank's a lot
You're welcome!

This is really great !
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Help me a lot..
Thank you so much for the video is helpful, what should I do if I would like to apply the Eterna lut to the videos?
Honestly I don't use LUTs, so I don't have any helpful advice for you when using the Eterna LUT.
What is the advantage of this method as opposed to just dropping a fuji F-Log to eterna lut etc?
Thank you very much!

I have never had an issue like that.
Are you on the Studio or Free version?
@@EricNelsonYT I’m on the Free version.
Studio is required to edit 10bit files. That may be the issue, but I can't verify for certain.
