Looks tasty. Thanks for not making an obnoxious double burger that’s too big to take a bite! 🙌

This is a farm burger that was a stable in the corn belt from Ohio to Colorado it was served in diners and also served along Route 66. Someone renamed it. But some versions also had corn in them. As a kid my parents drove from Ohio to Kansas to visit our cousin on their buffalo ranch and we stopped at a Sinclair that also had a diner and the gas station gave me a green dinosaur 🦕 because my dad got full tank of gas and we or I ordered a farm burger and it was just like your crack burger.

I’m a bacon cheeseburger freak! Love the different take! I will definitely be trying this! As far as knife skills, try keeping the tip of the knife on the board, pointer finger up the back of the knife, rock the knife never taking the tip off the board! More controlled chopping that way!

One thing that needs to be stressed: these burgers must be large to stay together. I made these at slightly over 4 ounces on a flat top and they would not stay together. They might need to be frozen first or require 6+ ounces to stay in a reasonable patty shape.

I'll try that out with smaller versions. Usually I like to rest burgers in the fridge for at least 30 minutes after forming, maybe that will help with this.

Ahhh the gatekeeping. England originated the orange cheddar. Now it’s colored with annatto because our cows do not have a high beta-carotene diet.
The best part is that your cheesemakers in the 17th century are the ones that were skimming the milk and adding coloring to make it orange, to trick the public into thinking the cheese was the same high-quality full-fat cheese. Thankfully it's not skimmed anymore, but the coloring tradition has carried on.

Mix the ranch seasoning with sour cream before mixing it with the meat smh. Also, you got a flat grill, take advantage of it and do a smash on the those burgers!

I made them and hated them. There very moist and very difficult to keep together when cooking. I seriously didn't care for the taste either. To me, a complete waste of time and money
