I have been making burgers in the oven grill and it was always hit n miss. Sometimes i would get it right and sometimes it would go horribly wrong and overcooked. Beef ground would sit in the freezer for weeks. And as much as I love a good burger, I was never keen about making them at home as it always felt like a hassle. We made these tonight and I have to admit, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! our local shops did not have the angus steak meat in stock unfortunately, but we used British beef 20% fat. Was still insanely tasty. The sauce....WOW!

Of course, you can still buy bad British Beef, just as you can buy bad Aberdeen Angus. The way it's fed, treated, transported, slaughtered, etc, makes a *huge* difference. I mixed the mayo, mustard, onion, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper directly into the meat. I substituted tomatoe pure for hot sauce and added ground coriander and paprika. I prepped 12 patties before hand eye balling the size. I cooked the buggers on a out door charcoal grill. The buggers caramelized nicely. Thanks for the video and inspiration. They were tasty.

So, researched the very first documented case of someone using the smash burger technique in the US. It lead me, to of all places, El Paso, Texas, where a man named Roscoe started it in the mid to late 1930's. He used the smash technique so he could smask diced onions into the meat while cooking so they'd carmelize. To my surprise, 4 generations later, Roscoe's Burger Inn is still open in El Paso. So, I traveled there to give it a try. Oh Gawd, to my surprise, it really is the very best burger I've ever had in my life.

Just tried making this, and I gotta say, this is the best burger recipe I tried. Delicious and juicy. Big thanks mate!
I made this burger. It was next level! Juicy, succulent, incredibly delicious. Oh and that SAUCE!!! 😋😋😋Thank you so much!
That was THE best burger I’ve ever had!!!!! Hands down! I used the beef I already had on hand, couldn’t use the bun in recipe so I buttered my low carb bread, but did the other stuff in recipe. Man, that was DELICIOUS! Fixing another one tomorrow 😋 THANK YOU!!
No joke? Are you being for real?
@@jonburrows2684 try smashing your own burgers, just getting that crust he describing is already good as it is lol. Now season it and use the good sauce and definitely toasted buns. Can't say if it's the best since there's so many other varieties of ways to make a burger, but its definitely really good. Only way to find out your favorite is to be creative, which makes cooking fun

This was a new technique and everything turned out great. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
Best burger I’ve ever made! Thank you
Your welcome!
Damnnnn! that was good. I just made one .Yes it was the best burger I've ever made. I followed every single step and bought every single ingredient. It all fits perfectly with a beer. Thank you.
Made these burgers last night. They were juicy and delicious. The secret sauce is outstanding. I might add two strips of bacon next time and I do think the meat could benefit from a light seasoning. However, if I don't change a thing, still an excellent burger.
black pepper to put in sauce directly?
“Shredduce” is my new favorite word…
Bottomings ... LOL
I made your burger with my father and it was the best meal I've ever got. Thank you.
I’ve been using this man’s recipe for months, the best ever. Great video
Had this burger once again. It’s simply awesome. The best burger recipe ever. ☺️
This is my go to when making burgers at home. Love this recipe.
used this recipe and THAT SAUCE IS NUUUUUUUUTS!!
I have been craving this type of burger and there are so many videos. Thanks for making a simple one so we all can make these burgers 🍔 🙌
OH MY GOODNESS I just made this burger and damn will I never get another fast food burger again. It’s so juicy and freaking delicious. I’m on keto so I didn’t use buns and instead used the lettuce as a bun but good lord that was damn good.
What is the size of the meatball suitable for the burger?
I love lettuce buns. Had them at a Burger joint in Berlin the other day.
him: i want toppings in bottom so it's still intact
also him: ate the burger upside down
So, researched the very first documented case of someone using the smash burger technique in the US.
Absolutely perfect video my dude! So much of this is so obvious that I’ve never done after eating FF Burgers my whole life. And others not so obvious! Thank you!
You know I’ll never forget the first time I buttered my toasted bun. It makes such a crazy difference I can’t believe it!!
I've make this, and it was like stay in heaven... Thank You!!
same!!!
This was tremendous with some sautéed onions as the only topping
