I love you tierzoo!!! Make a pokemon video tierlist and relate them to real life😂
I would have loved to watch it from your perspective!
I was looking forward to seeing your stream perspective when I saw that you were participating, but glad you participated anyways:)
Edit: Aaaw, nvm, we did not even get to see your play :((

"Jaiden was making use of our rule that pokemon with different forms count as different pokemon"
As if she wasn't the reason that rule was implemented in the first place. According to her, she messaged Wolfey ahead of time and basically said "Ok how about this? Six Gastrodon"
Sounds like her. Haha

I find it funny and crazy that "I wasn't supposed to be here today" Pokemon Challenges got as far as second place. To do so well with negative prep time is a nuts.

Ursaluna having STAB Facade, Guts AND an atttack stat of 140 is insane. Loved seeing the big bear put in a lot of work for its team

"oh we both have our Gyarados out, our snakes are going at it!"
I absolutely love how Jaiden represented the Pokémon spirit so well. Gastrodon is her favourite, and she just brought two of them and washed away her opponents.
Blaziken is her favourite, not Gastrodon lol
@@averyblock5 it's up there though. People can have more than 1 favourite. Personally mine are Wigglytuff and Incineroar

I'm sad Jaiden's double gastrodon strats didn't get a chance to get featured. It worked in at least half of her matches and just lead to an unstoppable ball of surfs.
Sounds like some cheese
Squoop superiority lmao
Double surf water absorb with choice scarf anybody?
699 likes lol
The double gastrodon only works as a niche, it has too many counters for it to be a strategy so I'm not surprised it wasn't featured
Jaiden has come so far omfg. I really underestimated her competitive ability, she really destroyed people in this 🤣
her plays were insane
Same here i was surprised how well she did
When I saw the end of her battles on wolfe’s stream and knew I had to find the others if possible. I found the replays on showdown that were saved, but I didn’t see the later battles yet.
to be fair we have to remember that before this she was coached by wolfe in that video he has
@@adriahrin3284 If you watched her stream, Jaiden was involved with competitive before Wolfey. She mentioned on her stream that she already had her team picked out before she made that video with him.

Imagine if someone would have just saved the Arceus battle and then caught it in the 30 minutes and literally gotten god on their side
This was before the update I think. Probably more than a month before this upload. More or less anyway
RT said during his stream that legendaries were specifically disallowed to prevent that i think.

As an Ursaluna fan, I'm very happy with the results of this tournament. Everyone did great, though! I'd love to see another video like this!
Love Ursaluna too but let's be real in a true metagame it would be countered almost immediately
@@zachhouston514 bro what? That thing is going to be a monster in gen 9
@@SharpLCDTV exactly lol so the meta will form a natural counter for it. Eventually people will just be running things that counter it and we'll see it's use go down. That's just the natural cycle of the game
@@zachhouston514 then there'll be anti meta picks to counter the counters, making their usage go down a bit, seeing more ursaluna
ah, i love vicious cycles
@@Kamirasu I mean it makes the metagame more interesting that way cuz it's constantly changing which is a good thing instead of being the same stale Pokemon over and over (except the few that just stay forever)
I find it pretty funny that people go straight for the flying Gyarados when there is a much easier stationary Alpha back at Lake Verity. (This is assuming they have beaten the game or are at least pretty near the end.)
Flying Pokemon are significantly easier to catch than any other pokemon if you know what you're doing, you can just stun lock them in balls, that's why dude kept yelling for him to ready another ball
Catching a Magikarp and leveling up it's probably the easiest way to go, actually. The exp candies are plentifull.
@@Ditidos and it only needs to hit 20 so you could even just go to a post game area and use catch experience if candies aren't available

The quick aside to explain solid rock and how rhyperior survived was a great addition and I can’t wait to see the future of wolfe wideos
Wolfey has become Leon after you beat him at the end of the game in SW/SH he goes to the battle tower and starts helping other trainers grow and creating new challenges for all the trianers out there to enjoy

Big Bertha destroys games and lives
This is incredible seeing all of my favorite streamers all together like this. Also your editor is incredibly funny and a total pro, they deserve to be let out of the shed and given a raise.
The absolute shock Wolfey had watching that eviolite Quilfish was just as funny this time as on the other video
After watching Jan's perspective, the only thing i have to say is. i had NO idea nogla was in this tournament lol
Nogla was a late edition to the roster like PChal iirc.
Nogla was like running into red at the end of heartgold

RT never ceases to amaze me.
“Oh, it seems like everyone’s doing a good job”
Showing Purplecliffe’s stream disproved that statement.
This was so so fun to watch, especially loved the commentary from you and your co-hosts. You guys are super fun to listen to! Really hope you do something like this again in the future
Petition for wolfey to make videos analysing big competitive matches like the EU finals 😎
I like the intense commentary during the RT vs Nogla fight, because I know from their perspectives, RT and Nogla were just making Irate Irish Noises at each other the whole fight
Hopcats use of Hisuin Qwilfish was amazing!
Eviolite Qwilfish is surprisingly so tanky, I love it
I was always more scared of Eviolite Hisuian Quilfish than Overquil. A Pokémon with that type combo and that item is nothing to overlook.
Great to see Ray still streaming. I used to follow him when he first quit RT to stream but I wasn't sure he was still going. This video is so fun as well, I love seeing people find a competition where there normally isn't one.
Man, too bad Jan’s Minimize Clefable never paid off in the finals. Those were some crazy matches!
I’m glad Minimize Clefable never paid off in the finals. I don’t think that’s how anybody, least of all Jan, would have wanted this tournament to conclude.
I actually love Jaidens team of all in with Gastrodon duo power, double surf to level up. Cool to see her do so well!
Hopcats team was also sick with the wild Qwilfish, he has his own video on this tournament!
i watched rt’s stream of this tournament but i love getting to see everyone else’s matches in this video as well as the commentary
Wolfs tournament has really helped scratch my itch for competitive Pokémon during this wait for the next generation. Love the tournament, hope you do another style of catching, then battling for Gen 9 as this was really fun to watch!!!
(Also hope to see that double Gastrodon team again lol)
AMAZING concept Wolfe, extremely smart and high effort content right here.
It was amazing to watch live and to watch again! Hope you can do another sometime soon. Good Luck in your tournament!
It's always so much fun to watch amazing content creators compete in Pokémon tournaments!
wolfey talking about his yawn soundboard button, but he needs to add 'oh a FREEEEEEEEEEZE' to it
Wolfie. I see you. You’ve done a great job bringing streamers together to get more exposure and crossover for everyone.
This was fun to watch! I hope you do this again in the future, with different guests, and have champions face each other for the grand finale
Dude I could have watched a longer cut of this for sure! This was excellent and I hope there is another tournement in the future!
Please more Ray collabs!!!!! I love to watch both of you. I remember actually find out about your channel cause he talked about you on stream. So cool to see him in one of your vids
Correct me if I’m wrong but RT was the only one who ran Ursaluna and ended up winning. Ursa is going to be unstoppable in the next Gen of competitive games. 140 base attack + STAB Facade w/Burn can pretty much KO or 2HKO anything in the game, and with its natural bulk it can survive to take down whatever is a threat. Was glad to see RT win with it.
Hmmm... It definitely won't enjoy passive chip damage from stuff like Rough Skin or Iron Barbs, and it totally looks like a Leech Seed target too.
Assuming the standard set includes Protect, Facade, and Headlong Rush, I reckon it'll be handling some clear Four Moveslot Syndrome, where it'll need to choose between Fire Punch for Ferrothorn or Ice Punch for the ever-problematic Landorus-T and maybe Garchomp.
Loved the tournament commentary. If you do another one of these it'd be really cool to see you interview some of the players in between matches.
Great to see ursaluna already being a threat. Can't wait to see if the hisui forms are in gen 9 just to use ursaluna and zoroark.
we dont know all of theme but h!zoroark is confirmed, it was in the first trailer
@@ketchuprats8378 No, it wasn't seen in either trailer. It was only seen on the Japanese official site in a pic advertising Home connectivity. Not to mention Hisuian Pokemon are likely not natively available due to being used as the example for Home transfers, on top of there being a fair chance that they're dexlocked until postgame.
So happy Ray was able to take a game off the champ, feels good man
6 pokemon doubles is interesting.
Less focus on specific 2 pokemon combinations and imo a clear nerf to timed effects like trickroom, weather, terrain, shields.
I think 4v4 is overall a better format, but I always thought it was weird 6v6 isn't even a sideevent.
I don’t think the results of this tournament support your hypothesis that 6v6 doubles is a clear nerf to trick room compared to the VGC format
This was wonderful, great job with the tournament man!
This was a fun event to watch. Loved all of the creative teams people came up with!
I wish you showed off the H-Electrode Explosion read with the double Protects; but otherwise, great video!
I really hope that more come to know about competative Pokemon and u are doing a reall great job at doing that
Every time I watch one of these videos, it makes me want to play VGC.
I actually started playing a few weeks ago with one of the rentals teams you showed the code for and have had a lot of fun with it, so... I guess I just wanted to thank you for initiating people like me to this side of the game
This was an amazing video, thanks Wolfey for putting this together!
WHY DID HE LEAVE THE SHINY BUNEARYYYYYY
Edit: OH THANK GOODNESS
The competitive side of pomemon is always so fun to watch! I personally really enjoy seeing some of the nicknames people chose for their pokemon. Like, was Jan in a silly goofy mood? Look at his names haha 😆. Great video!
Really fun video, hopefully we can see more in the future. The tournament setup was such a fun idea.
What a fun idea for a video/stream collab! Super fun to watch and I hope you or others do it again. I'm super-impressed with Jaidens and RTs teams and play!

I watched the entire stream and the highlight of it was UNDOUBTEDLY Aaron's "fever dream" call after Jaiden's round 1. Absolute shame to miss out on that audio.
That said, really great content all around. You Aaron and John have great chemistry as hosts.
I watched this on rays channel! this tournament was super cool to see, tbh
I really hope more of these type of things happen for this game!
Want to see everyone else's viewpoints. Can't wait for Jayden to make a glorious story out of it
Well, about that...
This tourney was super fun to watch
Love the form clause so jaiden could pull a funny strategy
Id like to see more matches in general on this channel, thanks for putting out some games =)
Very fun format, love your commentary!
I watched Jan's perspective but I knew once Wolfey got the video together it was going to be fire. There were some really cool strats (double gastrodon not so meme now) and the overall coverage of the tournament was good. It can be improved by inviting formally other comentators to watch more players simultaneously and maybe prepare a quick meta table for viewers. Also I did not once checked the video timer as the content was put very nicely to stay entertaining. It can be a bit longer maybe even reach the hour and still feel fresh.
More commentators would be amazing yea. So many games missed out simply because there was only a single main stream. They'd have to split the current 3 or get someone else they trust can do well to make it work though
This is a great idea, do more of these if they introduce DLC to this game.
It’s about time you uploaded this, Wolfey. I’m so happy with the way this turned out.
