I have AMEX Platinum that is now $650 per year. I got it just for lounges. For the past 2 years, every Centurion, Plaza Premium, Delta, and Priority Pass I've been to is full. No seats, hectic, and crowded. I actually find sitting at a restaurant or finding and empty gate to wait at more peaceful and relaxing. Probably going to drop it at next renewal.
$650, so it must be the US Amex Platinum. As for lounges being full, I do remember being put into waitlist upon presenting my Platinum Card (LAX Centurion). I ended up going to the Star Alliance Business Lounge as I was on Air Canada Business, and enjoyed the noodle bar and the terrace instead.
Generally yes, as they have a strict policy to address the crowding issue. But I have heard positive experience from some people that sometimes some agent may let your +1 in without a fee, but that is discretionary
Considered $200 is the travel credit that you can easily use, and the $10/month cell/internet bill, PLUS if you can utilize the $100 biannual credit, you should be getting a better value than before. But yes, it is slowly becoming a coupon book as seen from the US side.
I have a 10 hr layover in Hong Kong with my parents. If I sign up for option 3, can I pay to have one of my parents join us in the lounge? Where can I find rules on that (e.g. length of stay, etc)? How do they monitor length of stay in the lounge?
You can use 3 passes for 3 person. No length of stay is being monitored. Some highly congested lounge may impose an "x-hours before flight to enter" policy. Many US lounges during high season can deny your entry if your flight is over 3 hours away, or x hours away, all these individual lounges can make their own discretion
The problem for the Visa Passport at least for me is the minimum income requirement. I´ve been wanting that card for a while, but I don´t meet the minimum income requirement
Most online application don't really check. So up to you if you want to put the numbers in. But also, if you seriously don't meet the requirements, then seriously - do not apply. Work on your finances first and grow your income. There are more important things to prioritize in your life than travelling at this point in your situation.

I agree 100% - lounges are overcrowded and noisy. Poor quality food and service. Lounges are just not worth it.
I flew to Paris, then from Paris to Dublin back to YVr. I could not get in any lounges while in Europe.
The Scotia Passport card also has 0% fx fees which can be a big savings / the 2 Amex cards mentioned do not have that feature
These days it just seems impossible to be able to get inside a lounge. Always at full capacity and being turned away.
And if you get into the lounge, they’re not particularly more comfortable, and are overcrowded.
In Asia it's fine, actual rich people only in lounges, in NA it's a bunch of credit card plebs😂
@@merc7paulspat out my lunch reading. Lol
Yeah, what do u do?😮
Please make a video about putting more on your card without spending more

Is there even a priority pass lounge anywhere in Canada? 🤔
@@isao_the_2nd The WestJet Elevation lounge in YYC is a pretty good one! (when not during peak hours)
It’s Dragon Pass now
Lots! www.prioritypass.com/lounges/canada
Would love a video on meeting high minimum spend
Do you have to pay for guest to the delta sky club if you have a business Amex platinum?

how to spend more without actually putting in more
Did you say that AC lounge is the best in Canada? How bad is the others if AC has the best lounges LOL
I have the AMEX Business Platinum which was $499.00 and is now $799.00. I'm not sure if it is worth it.

Try inputting household income instead, from your parents or family members you live with.

if I move to the USA should I still use aeroplan?
Certainly. If you will fly to Canada to visit, or to take advantage of parter award availability, Aeroplan will still be of use to you.
You missed Capitol One Venture X
Wow I was just looking this up. This video is perfect timing
Is it not working anymore? I tried but it says 150 :(
Capital one Venture X all day !!
First
AMEX Gold all the way
Thats the worst card to have in the list. 60k welcome bonus is all it offers mostly. Multipliers aren’t good enough in Canada
Lounges are the worst thing invented... they're smelly, unclean and the food is cold. Wait an hour, get a coffee and get out. 😞
TOO FAST
