I find that the method in which kings are fixed, queens are cardinal, and knights are mutable works best for me. This was the method I was first taught and the significations of the correlating zodiacal signs match up fairly well. And it’s mostly about the energies they carry, rather than strict categories of which sign is which. I’ll look at elemental dignity first, and if I need more information I’ll consider their attributed zodiac sign. It can help to recognize it when you suddenly have a lot of Libra energy present in a reading and there sits the queen of swords to help emphasize that particular sign for example.

This is great, but I would have preferred you stick to discussing what you believe they are at opposed to what they are not, ex. Kings - Cardinal, Queens - Fixed, Knights - Mutable. Bringing up all these theories and why they do not work, for me, just made it more confusing.

There's one argument I would have for keeping the Paige out of the court: The Paiges are associated with the Fool. And like the Fool they are somewhat outside the journey too. If we look at a regular playing card deck, there is no Paige card, but instead we have the Joker... who is also a... Fool. The Joker might be in the court, but not part of it. If you use Jokers in your card games, they often have special rules, not unlike the Ace. Sometimes a Joker is a good thing, other time a bad thing, depending on the game. Much like how the Ace is the 1 card, but almost always the card with the highest value.

Great videos! Like you said, everyone reads differently; I read pages as the three venus signs consolidated. e.g; page of cups, you may be dealing with someone with one of these placements or exhibiting these placements. Kings (for me) are fixed. Queens cardinal and knights mutable. Thanks again!
With the court cards and signs, I think the best assignation is Queens = mutable, Knights = fixed and Kings = Cardinal. This is the best match. Only problem is King if Cups is Cancer , but you know Cancer the crab tried to fight Hercules to defend the Hydra, and cancer is known as the protector, ruling the house of home and family, so that does fit a fatherly or king role. Taurus and Aquarius also become Knights which can fit with Taurus being a bull, but dosent fit Aquarius. However even given these, this is still the most fitting assignation in my opinion.
You helped me see the cards in a different way. A part of me wishes that modern readers would use this more than using Oracle cards. Which can be extremely loaded from the get go and often contradictory. Sometimes I think readers don't really even understand the cards.
I don´t attribute zodiac signs to court cards, but elemental dignities, yes. I find astrology to be a broken system, useful but a shadow of what it once was.
I don't know if anyone thinks like me, but I would say, -at least from my opinion-, that kings are more earthy (structured, mature, disciplined, realiable...) and pages are more airy (curious, in movement, younger...)
