    Super helpful info on this one! Seems the mic picked up a hum either electrical or fan noise or something like that. Doesn't detract from the usefulness of the content though. Keep up the great work (you and the "team behind you")!

    I have a couple questions or issues for your Q&A shows. I say a couple because I’m not sure if they may be connected. First. Dometic thermostat. E1 error code. Ac quits working. Tried doing the reset and it will work for one cycle then throw the code again. Reset again and it will instantly throw the code again. Ok next part. My battery on the tongue that runs lights and stuff. When I’m plugged into service, it cooks my battery. It’s a wonder it didn’t blow up. So I have disconnected the battery, it’s no good now anyway. Don’t want to get a new one until I fix the problem. Since there is no battery, will this cause any issues such as the thermostat problem? And what is the problem with my battery charging. The last camper I had did the exact same thing. It was a Dutchman and my current camper is a Puma. I’ve watched all your videos on ac and you Q&A videos and have got some learned some things to check and kinda put 2&2 together on the ac issue but have not heard you mention the E1 error code. My thermostat is the older one that has actual buttons. I think your great. A regular Joe, not trying to be upity. Keep up the videos. Thanks.

    Sorry, I'm not trying to bash you. I absolutely love your show. I think one of my biggest issues is, you say it's a a ten minute question and answer video but, sometimes your intro can go as long as 3 to 4 minutes which decreases your question and answers.

    Have you had to troubleshoot an Atwood range 52370 where the burners don’t light at 6,000 elevation? Burners light fine at 800ft elevation. Regulator? I can’t find any information on this and even asked Atwood for help.

      @markferrick10 3 года назад

      If not freezing low Freon, then I would suspect the starting cap, especially if you hear humming when it should have started

    I ran into that furnace problem a couple times, that once the gas valve solenoids heated up one of them failed. Ran into that once on a gss dryer too. I hooked up meter for ohms, then pointed blow dryer at coils. After awhile meter went OL.

    i have a question about my 8535 atwood blower comes on with in a little time the igniter sparks but no solenoid click no smell of gas ...ihave ran a seperate hot wire temeraraly to the solenoids and they open and there is gas but no light also i noticed there is power into the board threw the white wire and no power out of the red wire that leads to the igniter ive been watching lots of videos and cant seem to get my answers can you please help

    • @randyweaver7246
      @randyweaver7246 3 года назад

      my red wire to the board fell out and i put it in the wrong spot so now thats fixed it ..now the problem is the furnace lights then goes out after about 6 or more seconds and i done what you should about checking the burner its good shape with eighth of an inch gap and sparks good can you help with this one

    • @MyRVWorks
      @MyRVWorks  3 года назад

      If you're getting ignition then you might want to check your electrode wire, the electrode Gap, or the burner head itself.
      Basically what the furnace is doing is it's able to ignite itself but it cannot prove to itself that there is a flame so after a decent interval it shuts itself off as a safety precaution.
      The way that the furnace proves that there's a flame is sending a small milliamp current from the control board through that electrode wire then through 1/8" Gap through the flame to the burner head and finally to ground. So that's a circuit you need to focus on.
      If everything looks good there then only at that point could you suspect it's the control board itself.
      Cheers,
      Darren

    I've got good news and bad news. First the good - I really appreciate you sharing your wealth of RV knowledge and you have a great spirit which easily comes across in your videos. Now the not so good - I use Final Cut Pro X on my Mac and removed the irritating hum in you video. It took less than 5 minutes. I don't think your "10 Minute Q&A" is working. For example - I did not currently need the information on either of your tow topics. However, let's say I do need that information a year from now. There is no way I could ever find it then. I suggest you stick with the usual format of giving each topic it's on descriptive title and adding them to your well organized appropriate play list. Best Wishes and God Bless!

      Thanks Soccer Dad for the comment! We do have a database we use in the office that has the entire contents with timestamps of every question answer. We are also going back and re-watching our videos to develop that tool even further where we discuss specific topics within one of our longer feature videos. The database lists the video that prompted the question, link to answer, timestamp where we start answering the question etc. Basically it's what Darren is looking at when he is making these recordings. He's just following the database screens We're working on a simple way to share that on our channel and website where people can search for a topic and link directly to that section in the many videos we have. We just need time to get that done and one of the people that was helping us do some of that left the area for another job so we're down an IT staff person. Are you interested in helping us with this ??? LOL!

      @@soccerdad8374 Will do! We sat Darren down on two different days to record about 13 of these 10-Minute videos. That is why he is always sitting in his Lance truck camper - we recorded them all at the same time LOL. The second day is the day we got the hum from his lavaliere - so we have several with that hum in the audio. We know to check for that going forward. Also his future 10-minute sessions will be recorded in different venues. We are also preparing other topics he will be covering on the channel - tool/meter training, taking things apart and talking about how they work etc. We may even have a playlist for folks that want tips/tricks on starting/operating their own mobile RV business but not sure if that would be a good fit for our more general audience. We do have a lot of RV techs that watch these videos and a lot of folks are reaching out to us for how to get started... But the Database you reference is certainly something we are working on so the video topics are much easier to search for - even within a longer feature video - you will have a time stamp to a specific topic Darren discusses so you do not need to watch the whole video. We are figuring this out as we go and we really appreciate your comments on things we can do to make our channel better for folks.
      Happy Camping - My RV Works Media Team.
