Rename it "Talk To A Tech" that way it doesn't matter how long it goes since it's all good information. Thanks again for your time and effort.

I hear in this video a buzzing sound, that is the same sound that my transfer switch was making before I replaced it. If that is your transfer switch is it not important to change it?

My rv recently started having electrical problems. If my camper is plugged into my 7 way plug on the truck all my lights, furnace and hot water heater work. If only plugged into 110 volts at a camp sight my lights, furnace and hot water heater will not work. My batteries are newer and I used to be able to run all these things on them no problem. Any idea why? All other appliances work just fine. Could it be a battery problem? Or my ac/dc power box. Thanks in advanced

Here's a good one for you.
Would like to know how you would diagnose fuel delivery issue to the generator?
1987 HRC Imperial 33 brand new tank and engine fuel pumps.
Generator fuel pumps great when it's getting fuel.
The problem is that I need to have the tank pump running or the generator starves out after a few minutes.
Full tank or not. No difference.
Would like to be able to run the generator without sucking down the engine battery from running the tank pump.

Should I be looking for a pinched or collapsed hose? Gets great volume when the tank pump is running.

I think that the return and gen got switched when the pump was replaced.

    Hello Darren,
Thank you very much for all your videos, I had enjoyed them very much and learn a lot about refrigerators and all the electrical components on my RV. I had a 1970 GMC Motorhome, with a Domestic refrigerator that works on propane but not with electricity. I watched your video regarding this issue, and I have two concerns. This model doesn't have a mother board, just a panel where cables are connected. I tested and verify that I had 114 V coming in, but when I made the test that you suggest to ground on the same pin that the refrigerator is grounded and put the other stick on the outlet or on the white cable that feeds the system I only have around 46 V, I don't know if this is normal or my ground is wrong. I tried to ground with a new cable and the results were the same. It is grounded to a piece of metal that holds the absorption tubes to the back frame of the refrigerator. Is that a correct ground?
Secondly, I found a manual on line for my refrigerator but it doesn't mention how many ohms the heating element should be. I tested and it gives me a lecture of 77.8 aprox. I remember you mention that the voltage goes through one cable and return from the other. Well, when I ground with the black cable of my feeding voltage, the first cable of the heating element gives me a lecture of 114 V but the other just 2.something V, there is no Voltage coming back so I assuming my heating element is not working properly. Well, that is the situation, I'm thinking on taking out the heating element and verify the model or part number with the manual to see if it is the right one, and order a new one if I can find it, it is an old model.
Thank you very much, I would appreciate any feedback on this. This is my first project with refrigerators thanks to you.
    Have a nice day.

I have 2 chargers, here's why: my Converter/Charger keeps the House Batteries charged and I have a separate charger for the Starter Battery. The only connection between those 2 battery systems is a temporary switch on my dashboard that routes the House Batteries to the starter motor which I would use if my Starter Battery malfunctions, becomes drained or whatever. By the way, I doubt if anybody cares about you going longer than 10 minutes...probably wouldn't care if you went longer than 10 hours.

Leaving the pistons extended exposes them to rust over time.
18 years takes hours of buffing with scotch brite and oiling before they will work again.
I wouldn't leave them extended if you are in a rust prone climate.

I have a question regarding the water pump in my travel trailer. When I am hook up to city water I have some quantity of water going into the fresh water tank. After shutting off the city water and researcher the small amount of videos, the diagnosis supposedly the check valve in water pump (Shurflo 4008 revolution). I followed the suggested method and turned the water pump on for 15 minutes and then started running the water from the farthest faucet. It did work as others mentioned and now the pump pulses now. So i took the water pump out, checked the screen before the pump, nothing there, removed the bottom of the pump, inspected the check valve for debri and for smooth operation looked good. Reassembled the pump, and increased the pressure, slightly. Water is still back flowing into the fresh water tank?

Hi Darren, I just bought one of those new Dometic CT single-zone thermostats with bluetooth (to swap out my non-bluetooth thermostat) and it seems to be having an oh-to-common issue owners have probably experienced. The A/C and/or fan will come on for a few seconds then turn off if the temperature inside the coach is the same as the temperature on the thermostat. I read somewhere that the thermistor is "too sensitive" (design flaw?). A workaround was put a piece of plumbers putty over the thermistor (I believe R1 on the PCB). It seems to work normally now albeit the temperature is relatively lower now. As a side note, my old thermostat used to do that when I bought the RV but somewhere down the line, it decided to work properly (that was 2 years ago).
Any helpful insights about this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Darren,
I would like to comment on your question from Anthony. Do you think he could have meet two "inverters"? The reason why I'm asking, I have a Magnum Energy MSH3012 inverter. I would like to add a second inverter so I can have all my plugs working, excluding the A/C or Electric water hearer.

Can you convert a 30 amp motorhome to be 50 amps? I want 50 amp power when I am plugged into shore power only. With all the electronic stuff in today's rv 30 amps is not enough power. I will use the rv on 30 amps when I am dry camping. Can this be done safely (by professionals)? Is this very expensive? Can you explain what has to be done in simple terms? Thank you
