Wonderfully restored 1980 Dodge Sportsman Town and Country RV

- This 1980 Dodge Sportsman Town and Country RV was restored by its current owner to something like its former glory. After spending more than five years rotting away, it was purchased and had a change of engine and the inside was restored to what we see today! A wonderful conversion job on this classic motorhome which is now 41 years old.

I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.
I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

I have a 1978. It's amazing how they are all different. Never seen two the same.
Mine gets about 10 miles per gallon.
This unit is not nearly as wide as a tractor trailer . I am amazed at how pretty it is inside. John. USA
That makes a change! A wood stove inside would suit it well. I bet it is great when at the campsite, but getting it to the campsite might not be so much fun as it is so wide.

Of course if you travel at night when no ones about it makes driving more pleasurable, at the moment in the UK its light at 4am ! 😆😆😆😆😆😆

Yeah I believe US made a couple of films around camper vans/RVs
I also have a 1980 Dodge Sportsman, but looking quite different. Where do you place your jacks when lifting it? The only safe place that I can see are the axels.

Yeah like the four ring hob and double sink, overcab bed and large bathroom, don't know that the extra width is that much of a gain though.
That wasted space used to be bunk bed pods

The shower looks like for elderly or disabled to sit whilst showering.
Those go for about $3500 unrestored.
I had one of those a 1978 version..what a piece of garbage the roof leaked and those front windows leaked and rotted out also so much rot in it and with the gas engine I got at best 7mpg...they did a nice job of making this retro wonder how much rot and roof front cab and wall repairs they did would be interesting to hear about the engine conversion details and if they still have the original transmission and or if they swapped them out you can pick these up cheap here in the states

I don't know what third wave feminism is but those seeking what could be termed a 'traditional wife' are about as likely to find one in Poland as they are in the UK>
