I can't decide if you are getting better the most at skating, acting, editing, creating, communicating, advocating...you're brilliant!!!
Backsides are still scary for me, thanks for the video Ben! We gotta skate this summer
thumbs up immediately at the intro...
I have fallen in to the trap of frontside stalling the copping all the time and not progressing. Thanks for this Ben 👍🏻. PS this video was awesome 😂
I was not expecting that high of a production quality increase with the intro
Idk why youtubers hate making tutorials but I would love to see more stuff like this. thanks ben. was fun chattin it up in the bladecup stream, hope to see you in the streaming rig at future events ;)
I love you in your comedic (but still KNOWLEDGEABLE & INFORMATIVE 🤓) pocket
It’s amazing
Nailed the intro. Was all prepped to learn some forklift safety.
😅
Great advice! I used to front side stall or just 180 but never back side. Gave me the motivation to actually learn it. Cheers!
that montage was amazing 😂 great bit of advice, my safety stall is a backside stall, it's ingrained.
That intro was absolutely genius! Haha. Some solid advice there, will be using it myself this week.
Thats why I watch. Knowledge, Knowledge, Information, Fun!
😂😂😂😂
When you stopped your wheels for the noise..... bro... dead
Nice format, and the beginner tips are appreciated big time. Backside stall advice all makes sense. Need to try to learn the backside stall. Been trying for only four years.
Question. When learning to grind, either boxes, ledges or rails. Do you look at Where are your feet are going to land at first and then focus down the rail? Or are you always just looking only at where you wanna go to and trusting your feet to land where they need?
Lets go! these are the vids I need ! I think this may take me an entire season but this vid got into my mental, Would love some tips on maintaining balance and particularly when fakie
Same! I second that!
Getting Mr Rogers vibes neighbor!
love that editing style, brotha, classic!
thank you for always sharing your love for blading.
keep on rollin, baby, you know what time it is.
😂 A+ intro. May I suggest: Ben’s Bonafide Blader Basics. I have a thing for alliteration lol. Thanks for the video! Killin it!
Yeah I worked on that backside stall as a kid now it just feels natural. Learning 270 into a switch backside stall still feels a bit sketch but seems like it adds a little more style to it.
im 35 years old now and ive been skating since middle school. boy would a video like this have saved my ass a bunch of times learning lol. i wish skating was still popular. i still got my custom Razors in the garage, think i might put em on and roll around a bit.
I was struggling w frontsides, but I threw a backside just to see and landed it first t. This just makes so much more sense
Back in 90's when there wasn't skateparks every where, I waxed up curbs on a entrance only parking lot and pretended there was transition. Sounds silly but it worked back and fourth backside to backside. I recommend it.
Can you make all these beginner videos a playlist on your channel? Or at least add some naming convention to the titles that's obvious and can be searched for? I think these are really great tips but when they're dispersed across your account it can be hard to find them.
I remember when I started out that I learned a lot more from channels that condensed all the beginner-facing stuff because it was so easy to find once I'd found the first video... Whereas when it was just random videos with random titles, I'd find something that would have been useful a few months earlier once I'd already learned that lesson the unnecessarily hard way.
Good idea
I, 💯 agree! Organizing the videos by playlist is helpful and it will help the channel grow as folks can see the hyper bold labels on them. For example: (1) beginner level rollerblading, (2) intermediate level , (3) Professional level , (4) then playlist just for the funny / skit performances, (5) interviews with pro-athletes/personalities, etc. ok! 5 playlist here! Gosh…been pulling 80hrs of work these days…brain is mush…but maybe this can give you an idea @irollerboot @ben
@@okthisisthelasttimeipromise another good idea is also the playlist can also be organized by theme/lesson … I’ve seen this on a few learning channels. As a beginner, its helpful for me to see the topic/theme. Thank you so much!
Definitely guilty of hurting myself trying to progress too fast. I need to skate the banks some more. Once I heal from the most recent injury, anyway.
Gave me that Drew and Jonathan Scott vibe 😂 awesome clip as always!
Dude your the best ! That introduction had me rolling 😂 , thank you so much for this great content 🙏🏼
so i am 27 an recently moving out of a flatmates an into my own place but as digging through and sorting my shit i came across my old pair skates from easily 15 years ago and since i have found your channel as they peaked my interest and i think because of you i am gonna pick my self up a pair of boots and see if i can still stand up in them who knows i might even try and skate some :)
Bro...please do more videos like this...its fun to watch..your funny as hell... NOW TEACH US HOW TO BE A GRINDER BLADER!
Firstly. Ben this video is gold. You had me laughing from the first 5 seconds. Secondly, fantastic advice. I've always put off backside stalls for some weird reason. I'm going to get out there and practice them this week.
Bro best meme editing yet 😅
Never have been much of a park skater, even in my prime in the 90s, mainly only because there werent any close by. To this day they still intimidate me bigtime
I was one of those noobs who thought that the frontside stall to 180 was safer until the time when I didn't nail my landing on the mini ramp and tweaked my knee I had a month of recovery to sit and think about that mistake!
180 stall should be one of the first things a skater learns on transition, it's absolutely necessary and once mastered will allow you to attempt grinds, starting with backsides, farvs etc.
Awesome and helpful video! Do you think you can make a video of stalling on coping, then going back down fakie? I literally can’t breakthrough that mental block! Haha
🤣🤣🤣 fantastic intro. /slowclap
amazing vid man. love the fakie advice, knew what you were telling me through the amazing vibes being put out through the intro music
Took you 5 seconds to get a thumbs up, know is going to be good with that intro
So glad I watched this, hilarious intro!!
Just started the vid and already feel 1998 vibes. This is great bro 👍
Top notch intro!
I loved it since the begining HAAHAHAHAHA
Keep it up brother.
Your absolutely right I am guilty of this. Ive got to practice this
This is something I never learned and I feel kinda embarrassed about. Going to try and tackle it next time I am out.
The intro... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Loved the intro so great 👍
🔥🔥🔥
Excellent advice
That intro is the best.
Awesome 😂 thanks for this.
excellent advice.
bro that intro hahahaha
Yo this intro! 👏🏽
make sense... im gona try
Thanks trick tips with bend!
lol that intro is gold
AMAZING!
front side stall is just ugly and its also a noob first trick i think this is why more seasoned skaters don't really do them on a quarter like that. If i ever want to go fakie from a transition i would just tap one foot on the coping and come back down or fast slide and come back down if i wasn't just doing an actual trick.
😆! Yeet!!!!
LOL love that intro
nice😁
Loooooool you are a gift
Muito bom
🫡🙏
xD
