    I have fallen in to the trap of frontside stalling the copping all the time and not progressing. Thanks for this Ben 👍🏻. PS this video was awesome 😂

    Question. When learning to grind, either boxes, ledges or rails. Do you look at Where are your feet are going to land at first and then focus down the rail? Or are you always just looking only at where you wanna go to and trusting your feet to land where they need?

    Yeah I worked on that backside stall as a kid now it just feels natural. Learning 270 into a switch backside stall still feels a bit sketch but seems like it adds a little more style to it.

    Back in 90's when there wasn't skateparks every where, I waxed up curbs on a entrance only parking lot and pretended there was transition. Sounds silly but it worked back and fourth backside to backside. I recommend it.

    Can you make all these beginner videos a playlist on your channel? Or at least add some naming convention to the titles that's obvious and can be searched for? I think these are really great tips but when they're dispersed across your account it can be hard to find them.
    I remember when I started out that I learned a lot more from channels that condensed all the beginner-facing stuff because it was so easy to find once I'd found the first video... Whereas when it was just random videos with random titles, I'd find something that would have been useful a few months earlier once I'd already learned that lesson the unnecessarily hard way.

      @JasmineJina_JJ Год назад

      I, 💯 agree! Organizing the videos by playlist is helpful and it will help the channel grow as folks can see the hyper bold labels on them. For example: (1) beginner level rollerblading, (2) intermediate level , (3) Professional level , (4) then playlist just for the funny / skit performances, (5) interviews with pro-athletes/personalities, etc. ok! 5 playlist here! Gosh…been pulling 80hrs of work these days…brain is mush…but maybe this can give you an idea @irollerboot @ben

    • @JasmineJina_JJ
      @JasmineJina_JJ Год назад

      @@okthisisthelasttimeipromise another good idea is also the playlist can also be organized by theme/lesson … I’ve seen this on a few learning channels. As a beginner, its helpful for me to see the topic/theme. Thank you so much!

    I was one of those noobs who thought that the frontside stall to 180 was safer until the time when I didn't nail my landing on the mini ramp and tweaked my knee I had a month of recovery to sit and think about that mistake!

  • @SherLock55
    @SherLock55 Год назад +1

    180 stall should be one of the first things a skater learns on transition, it's absolutely necessary and once mastered will allow you to attempt grinds, starting with backsides, farvs etc.

    front side stall is just ugly and its also a noob first trick i think this is why more seasoned skaters don't really do them on a quarter like that. If i ever want to go fakie from a transition i would just tap one foot on the coping and come back down or fast slide and come back down if i wasn't just doing an actual trick.
