I hate how awful the covers are they just put me off reading the book because they’re either so awful or it ruins how I want to imagine the characters look like 😭😭
I'm actually in the starting phase of planning out an M/M enemies to lovers romance dramedy. Do you have any suggestions for "self-help" books on writing M/M fiction specifically? If not, I'd be content with recommendations on general writing and publishing advice.
Play Dirty is actually on my list, and coming up fast. Face Offs & Cheap Shots is also on my list, but not sure when yet. I believe Nailed might be. Maybe Star Collide. But I hadn’t heard of the second book at all. Will definitely need to check it out!
omg i loved face offs & cheap shots!! it's my fav in the series and i've reread it a few times by now! have you read heated rivalry by rachel reid? it's another one of my favs for enemies to lovers!
😮 I'm surprised, that you didn't recommend Ariana Nash's books in this genre. They're so, so good! Especially the Silk & Steel series. But also the Primal Sin trilogy, the two book in her Court of Pain story, the stand-alone The Final Masquerade, and The Prince's Assassin trilogy (there's bore, though^^). I can also recommend the Captive Prince trilogy by C.S. Pacat and the stand-alone The Scottish Boy by Alex di Campi. All of these books are m/m enemies to lovers stories, very hot and angsty, sometimes quite dark (read trigger warnings first), and fantasy. Have you read any of those?
I must admit the only series I’ve read from this list is The Prince’s Assassin! C.S. Pacat’s books are on my TBR, and if I did another part to this I’d also be adding the Riehse Eshan series by Adelaide Blaike- written in inspo of the Captive Prince series and so good!
I love this trope, and I wish I could read more… but why the hell do like all of them have naked or suggestive looking men on the front? I live with people who I’d like to not be aware what I’m interested in this kinda stuff, but it’s kinda hard… like, horny books about lesbians aren’t this weird, give me a great mlm novel with a cat on the front
It’s book two in a series, but you can read it as a standalone! Characters from the first book are mentioned, but it’s a new plot line and relationship in this one.
Thanks for the recc! Love what you do! Whenever you mention a 5-⭐️ book I’ve read, I also loved it! But why am I under the impression you haven’t read Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid? Hit it! Plz! It’s a MUST!
One of my all-time favorites: TOP SECRET by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy - clever, humorous, angsty and exciting. The audiobook version [c/o TEDDY HAMILTON (his best performance) and Christian Fo]) was phenomenal.
Enemies to lovers is my favourite trope ever! These books will definitely be going on my TBR :)
Ooh yay!! I hope you enjoy them! 💕

Gods why are the covers always so atrocious... can't the publishers exercise just a smidge of imagination, honestly.
