      Agatha Christie is amazing. I'm not sure I'd put her in the cozy mystery genre. Rather, many cozy mystery authors try to emulate her (and not always very well). That said, my suggestion for Elyse is is Murder on the Orient Express or Ordeal by Innocence, only because they are among her most well known. But you really can't go wrong with whatever you choose. All of her books are excellent.

I highly recommend Ali Hazelwood’s second book, Love on the Brain, it’s one of her earlier ones but it’s so much fun and the romance is adorable. Also, if you’re looking for mystery novels in the same vein as Agatha Christie with just a dash of romance, Sherry Thomas’s Lady Sherlock series is so underrated! Book description: "All Reyna and Kianthe want is to open a bookshop that serves tea. Worn wooden floors, plants on every table, firelight drifting between the rafters ... all complemented by love and good company. Thing is, Reyna works as one of the Queen's private guards, and Kianthe is the most powerful mage in existence. Leaving their lives isn't so easy. But after an assassin takes Reyna hostage, she decides she's thoroughly done risking her life for a self-centered queen. Meanwhile, Kianthe has been waiting for a chance to flee responsibly -- all the better that her girlfriend is on board. Together, they settle in Tawney, a town nestled in the icy tundra near dragon country, and open the shop of their dreams. What follows is a cozy tale of mishaps, mysteries, and a murderous queen throwing the realm's biggest temper tantrum. In a story brimming with hurt/comfort and quiet fireside conversations, these two women will discover just what they mean to each other ... and the world."

    2. Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren (super cozy romance)
    3. Piranesi (mystery, magical realism, somewhat eerie)

      I have had the same ADHD problem and also consumed pretty much only audiobooks for awhile. I find that reading on a kindle is helpful because the “tap to turn page” action keeps me more engaged. I make the font pretty big so I can read without my glasses on, so I’m tapping more often than I would turn the page of a physical book.

      @_HolyHell_ 20 дней назад +1
