My guess is the encanto show will replace finding nemo at animal kingdom. The finding nemo attraction there has always seemed out of place and with the exception of a few changes in signage and the indoor area it could be converted into an encanto show with minimal hassle. As for avatar at disneyland, I have a scary thought. Soarin is getting pretty old and I would not be surprised if they converted it to flights of passage style attraction.

The Encanto show is supposed to only be for a limited time so I’m guessing it’ll be at Magic Kingdom during Hispanic Heritage Month. Could also be at DAK to test out how Encanto will be there if they actually go through with a land there. The said avatar land coming to Disneyland is a real head scratcher. As for now I’m leaning towards that it’s not going to be a land and Iger just misspoke but we’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully they say more about these at D23 this year!

@@HeyItsJeff definitely! Hopefully we will hear more about it this d23 in August. Also two cast members yesterday told me the imagineers have been coming to the campus after park closing to take measurements so hopefully that means they will start construction on it soon!

I can't imagine they have the room for a whole land at DL. I suspect it will be an 'area' as opposed to an entire land unless they are tearing something down or can purchase some land. We shall see.
I loved the flower and garden festival, and the projections were fantastic! It would be awesome if they added more next year as opposed to just highlighting the topiaries. I look forward to the Encanto show!
The dining reservations have become SO MUCH EASIER!! That was a great improvement to the app.
Thoughts on the proxy fight going on? Honestly, I liked the things that Peltz and Rasulo had to say, plus he said there would be no intention to fire Iger that he just needs guidance. Interesting. Be well.

I also can’t see them creating a whole land. With the lack of space it just doesn’t make sense if it isn’t going to be as grand as Pandora in DAK. I just hope whatever they do fits in well and doesn’t feel forced just to have the IP there.
I think adding more next year is a true possibility. This may have just been a test to see.
As far as the proxy war goes, I have to be honest and say I don’t follow it too closely 😅. Keeping up with the politicking that goes on with the leadership or what’s going on with the CFTOD isn’t something that ever interested me. I’m glad other people cover it because it’s good to know but just topics I never cared to do. It makes for an interesting situation for Iger though. Makes you wonder if he’ll ever willingly leave again 😂. What are your thoughts on it?

@@HeyItsJeff The worst thing Disney did as a family-oriented company was oppose something that was pro-parental choice. Regardless of how you look at it or feel about a company getting involved in politics, when a company does, it will annoy at least half of your company's patrons. Plus the fact that their latest movies are all pushing an agenda - which many families are against - doesn't matter if they are right or wrong. People will eventually "vote" with their money - and that is evident with the way the movies are constantly losing money (not the only reason, because some of them were just awful). Honestly, there was a time when you could let kids watch Disney and not worry about what they were watching - now, I feel the need to have to watch the movie or show first before I let the young ones in the family watch anything. It was NEVER like that before.
When the voting comes, I am voting for Peltz and company. Something has to change at Disney. Looking at Universal, they are building like crazy their new park, and even updating at the old ones - Disney has NOTHING on board, nor are they offering anything substantial. Nothing is really in the pipeline - and if it is, it will be 10 years before anything is really constructed. Seems the company is too focused on overseas Disney - and needs to start paying attention to their money maker, Disney World. This is not a "I hate Disney" rant - just an honest assessment from a Disney fan since I first visited Disney World in '71 and have been there every year since, plus a long time stockholder. Disney can do better - I hope they do so soon. Be well.

@@Sir-Ray Yeah I agree with you. It’s an unfortunate time in the world where decisions lead to that and when company’s do that to try to get some sort of gain, especially Disney. It’s funny you mention that though about the movies and the box office because I just had a discussion on the same thing with one of my work colleagues. I think it’s a mix of that and also the lack to pursue creativity as they just keep going back tho water hole with the same IP over and over again. I also think they need to cut back on the number of releases to give more time and quality into projects. Less is more.
While they claim to be heavily investing in the future of the parks and experiences, I’ll have to see it to believe it. Their main focus has been DCL and DVC because that’s what will make them the most in return. It’ll be interesting to see what happens if they don’t deliver and just give more “blue skies” ideas at D23 this year. Once Iger finally decides to leave (hopefully) will be an interesting new era for the company. I also didn’t view that as a rant of you hating Disney, it’s passion. I feel the same with a lot of things. Definitely understandable when you’ve watched something you love drop in quality of what it used to be.
