Yeah the first time I saw her shiny mega form, I immediately thought, "Oh my gods, she looks like my mom!" My mom is a plus sized goth, the dress billows out at the same point where her rolls are.
I think because Megas are generally more ... consistant in look across the mega line, shiny color pallete swaps are more noticable. The Road to Butterfree changes the color pallete on both shiny and non-shiny. And heavily leans on the knowledge of how butterflies work to connect them together
to be fair, it's not uncommon for bigs to change drastically in color in their different stages. It's apparent with normal Caterpie, and I think changing from a lovely golden palette to something closer to a royal purple is pretty cool.
@@lexyinspace the change to 3d caused the lighting in game to be different from 2d making the colors of the base forms look worse or drained out people have been blaming shinys but most of the time its the base that got worse.
What adds insult to injury for gengar is that it's gmax form has the same, or at least a similar, color pallet to its mega. Honestly if it wasn't for base gengars shiny being so old at this point, I'd say change it to white. Also just change gallades cape, accents on the duel disk and boots/pants to match gardevoir, keeping the white tunic, I think it'd look cool
Not exactly. First, it was purple with green wings (G/S/C), then it became black with red wings, but they used dark green for the highlights (Gen III), then they used dark, purple-gray for the highlights (Gen 4/5), then they went fully black in 3D. But it's been considered a "black" shiny ever since the first change in Gen 3.
I want Samurott to be more like an actual samurai. Being bipedal like his previous forms, having an actual katana and a helmet shaped more like an actual kabuto. Btw your channel is so interesting keep the good work 😊
If they get rid of mega evolutions again they should at least make split evolution or alternative evolution for pokemon that had them so they aren't lost forever
I used to play in a FB Pokemon League where I acted as a Ground Type Gym Leader during the XY days. Shiny Mega Garchomp was my Ace. I loved busting out the Pink Demon.
Hey, I had a shiny Caterpie! I was disappointed that it went from a golden color to an annoying shade of orange as a Metapod, then settled into the colors of Butterfree. I think it'd look nice of it stayed the same golden shade, then it'd be easier to name
Fun fact (well, not really fact, more of a hypothesis that I'd be willing to bet money on, but have never had the opportunity to actually confirm): Mega Charizard's shinies are a reference to the fact that it technically had two shiny colorations in Gen 3. The Hoenn games used a dark green for the highlights, while the Kanto games switched to the more recognizable dark, purplish-gray that was used all the way up until the switch to 3D. (And no, Mega Charizard Y _isn't_ a reference to the Gen 2 shiny, which was a more vivid shade of purple and had green wings) Edit: I made a critical error. I don't know why I believed this, but the Charizard shiny coloration was _not_ changed mid-Generation 3, it was dark green in Kanto, too, the change back to purplish happened in Gen 4
Gengar's Shiny is great, Gengar's base colors however, aren't (over time Gengar became more and more like it's shiny form, it's shiny form consistently being the same color)
Was doing ultra wormhole. Found shiny audino, and preceded to flip my shit. Went to Google its mega shiny before i wasted all that BP and got so disappointed

Yeah, not it's fault 3d saturated the non shiny way too much
They really took the chance to officially make shiny mega Gardevoir the goth girl that she is.

The original mega kinda looks like it’s going to a wedding. The shiny looks like it’s headed to a funeral.
We already have a goth girl Pokémon
If you change Mega Gallade's cape and the red part of the arms to the same blue as its helm then there's at least more cohesion and "holy knight" feel
I think because Megas are generally more ... consistant in look across the mega line, shiny color pallete swaps are more noticable.

Gengars shiny isn't bad, it's base form is. It went from being a bright magenta to what's known today but the shiny didn't change
Same with garchomp
@@brianblue2268 No, Garchomp's was always subtle, unfortunately.

Gengar used to have a great shiny before gen 6 rolled around
It had a gapping maw to the void
Don’t know when exactly the change was for Garchomp but it’s in a similar boat.
Shiny mega gengar migth be only reason i ever wanted shiny one 👀

If they did the black for shiny Gallade, it would look better with just black pants
black cape
Bro shiny mega charizard looks so damn good in battle.
Shiny mega charizard y is so great
Pink garchomp seems like passive aggression
I love shiny Mega Garchomp.
You should've turned Gallade's cape to black, not its body
Love mega shiny gardervoir
I think Pokémon have diffrent teams who make diffrent Pokémon shinies and they have never communicated to each other before 😂
🥲
With the first four or five generations, shinies were primarily created via an algorithm.
Charizards megas are references to its old shinies, first it was green, then it was changed to purple, and eventually the black we have today
Not exactly. First, it was purple with green wings (G/S/C), then it became black with red wings, but they used dark green for the highlights (Gen III), then they used dark, purple-gray for the highlights (Gen 4/5), then they went fully black in 3D. Mega chrixards slightly changing thats his colorblindness showing
Shiny mega Gardevoir is fucking awesome!
Shiny megacharizard x is actually a really cool reference to the shinycolors of Dragonite!
The cape on the male gardevoir being black would be cool
They missed the chance for gallade to be in a tuxedo pattern
I've never seen him upside down
for the longest time, I had no idea Garchomop had a mega
Shiny Mega Gardevoir is the most beautiful thing to ever grace the franchise and if you disagree then expect to see her at your funeral

Shiny Mega Gallade should have a black cape.
Shiny gardevoir looks like Darkrai wife a perfect couple facts

Ok but the creepy awesome red glowing eyes on mega gengar
