Wow! Double wow! I couldn't wait for the harmonies on the " I'm falling faster " lines. Did LBT nail it or what!! But then I wouldn't expect anything less from them. Well deserved applause for that. Looked like Randy's wife was really enjoying it. Music from back in a time when music was real. It was just raw talent. I played in a band for almost 30 years. We also had two fantastic female vocalists which gave us a lot of flexibility. Back then Alabama was riding high on top of the world. They kept putting out hits faster than we could learn them. We did almost all of them. Quite well. But this was and still is my favorite Alabama song of all times because of the harmonies in it. I got chills from those harmonies from Randy and Teddy and Jeff back then and I still do today. And man, LBT knocked this one out of the park! So glad to see there is still good music preformed by talented artists that don't need auto tone and all the digital creations of good sound engineers to sound great. All they need is their God given talents. The backup band here was great too. Just good, talented musicians doing what they do best. Alabama songs will live on forever. Their musicianship showed a lot of talent, but not overdone. Randy and Teddy and Jeff's harmonies were always spot on. Again, without auto tone. Brings tears to my eyes to know those times are gone. May the music of the 80's, country and rock live on forever!!! Rock on Alabama!
Yes indeed! I always enjoyed listening to ALABAMA growing up, when they would come on the radio, before you heard any voice at all , you knew who it was just by the music, they have a certain tune all their own, no mistaking it . God bless you and you're wonderful family,
The most important aspect is the fact you are a great artist who can make a difference for the community as well as for others to benefit from you being a part of this
Thank you for honoring them in such a beautiful performance! Grew up listening to them and finally seen them in concert twice in my Adult years. They are truly missed but we still have their wonderful songs!❤❤❤ God Bless Alabama❤❤❤
I saw Alabama 30 something years ago, and they came out and played a 45 min none stop medley of hits (not even playing the full songs) from the early 80s, then played for another hour+ of great songs and future hits! I sometimes forget how great they were in there prime.
They can sing anything and the extreme talent level they possess is breathtaking. The harmonizing at the end had to impress Randy Owen. Alabama is a tough act to replicate and I think they did an admirable job. Gotta love LBT.
Listening to little big towns tribute I should have commented about them. I love little big town. Great awesome tribute. When I remarried sixteen years ago he bought me a CD of little big town listen to them . Especially on my way to my nursing job. It just help me on the way to work. I would sing along🙏🙏🙏💕💕😇😇💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
As a life-long Alabama Band fan, this is one of the BEST covers of one of their greatest hits. Little Big Town did a great job, they exemplified CLASS with this performance!
What an amazing song by Alabama, always has been a favorite song and a favorite group for me …. Little Big Town a another favorite group and what an amazing performance they did on the song 🎶 absolutely beautiful done …. Thank you so very much for the share … they blew me away excellent done 🕊👏”
Beautiful version of a great classic country song😍 by one of the greats country groups.( Alabama.) RIP Jeff. I was fortunate to see both Alabama and Little Big Town live in Edmonton, Alberta. I will never forget either of those concerts. Beautiful harmonizing by Little Big Town. Very few can harmonize like Little Big Town. I listen to this version once every evening. 🤩
I don't know how many times I've watched this. It's a lot. This is a fantastic live cover, of a fantastic song by one of the greatest bands, if not the greatest band of all times. And LBT absolutely nailed it. You could see it in Randy's eyes and the smile on his face that ge was really liking this. And you can also at times see on his face, the memories of all the times he performed that song. I've been an Alabama fan since the first time I heard them, way the hell back when. I've seen them unteen times over the years, and I've just flat assed run out of adjectives to describe them. I've also been an LBT fan since the very first time I heard them like 25 years ago. And I have also seen them numerous times during those years. But, I have to say, in all those years, I don't think I have ever seen Kimberly Schlapman sing with that much heart and emotion. She was pouring her heart and soul into that harmony and truly paying tribute to Alabama. Great, great job LBT!!
I dont know why Phillip didnt sing lead on this one. He is by far the best the singer of the group and he is way under utilized. This song would have been perfect for his voice.
LOVE Alabama, love this song!! And I'm glad they were honored! If the two men were allowed to sing leads, and leave out the two females!! They ruined it!
Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry should be ashamed and embarrassed for not even mentioning, little alone thanking drummer Mark Herndon for his decades of service and touring with the band. This was a tribute to the entire band, not the Randy and Teddy show. If they could mention and include Jeff Cook (and rightfully so), Mark has earned and deserves the same amount of recognition and respect. Randy and Teddy should have put the past aside, swallowed their egos and been something besides self-absorbed assholes for one night.
Pretty tough song to sing but they nailed it. Old Dominion absolutely killed 18 wheeler. All performances were great except Blake. I’m glad he did a song I didn’t know. Would’ve been a shame if he butchered one of the big hits.
Not a huge fan of Little Big Town there always being brought to do stuff like this and idk understand why I think there should have been people who are were close to them or in the 90’s with them but Blake was great and so was old dominion but idk this didn’t do anything for me
TIME WAITS ON NO ONE! SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY WE LIVED-LOVED THESE SONGS! THESE SONGS TAKES ME BACK TO A WAYYYY BETTER WORLD. ❤
ME TOO 🥰‼️
I can remember getting this cassette tape as a Christmas gift. I can't remember the year...but I was born in 1982 and I'm still listening to Alabama
Amen brother they sure do!
And ALABAMA IS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE VERY BEST COUNTRY BAND OUT THERE!
God bless everyone!
Amen to that
@@chrisvantuyl5554I was born in ‘80, those Alabama cassettes for Christmas were the highlight many a year.
My favorite Alabama song from Summer 1983!

3/4 of Little Big Town have strong connections to the state of Alabama so this had to be special for them.

I was shocked they did so well with this
I was surprised they did the full version not the cut one
God little big town reminds me of a southern church choir group.
Sound men never get any recognition 😢❤
Good sound engineers are a valuable asset to any performance, but with talent like that their job is pretty easy.
Well let’s give them an explosion of recognition..am in agreement..🇨🇦

Sorry the chorus sounds too much like a sing along.
I agree. It was a very good overall performance but yes I immediately noticed it did sound like a sing a long.
Maybe get back to listening to Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban?
Not a huge fan of Little Big Town there always being brought to do stuff like this and idk understand why I think there should have been people who are were close to them or in the 90’s with them but Blake was great and so was old dominion but idk this didn’t do anything for me
