- After a temporary stalemate in the Time War, the Dalek Emperor is restored and renews his assault on time and space.
The voice actor for the Daleks in the New Series, Nicholas Briggs, also voices the Daleks in the Big Finish audios. The voice for the Dalek Emperor used in this audio is a subtle variation of the voice used for Bad Wolf / The Parting of the Ways in Series 1, with some of the speech patterns of the Dalek Emperor from The Evil of the Daleks.

Hearing the way how the Dalek Time Strategist sounds so naturally haunting... WE MUST HAVE AN ON SCREEN ENCOUNTER WITH IT!!!
Agreed. He deserves a live action appearance.
It has to be done properly. Attempts at these sorts of things are prone to failure.
Jesus, hearing a dalek laugh whilst its own biology struggles to cope with the emotions is terrifying.
There's something so raw and badass yet so refined and almighty about how the Dalek Emperor speaks
Even through the speakers, he sounds so unstoppable and powerful. We NEED an Emperor variant back in the show
The fact that the Time Strategist can just barely manage to laugh (even if its biology makes it physically painful) is just genuinely terrifying.
This is a Dalek??? An emotional Dalek???
'BLASPHEMY!!!'
I’ve not been able to buy any Big Finish stories, but hearing the Dalek Time Strategist laugh makes buying this story a *MUST*
So this is how the doctor got familiar with Dalek laughter. I suppose caan was a cackling mess as well but it honestly sounds painful for them to do. Seems they’re still able to be amused.
Much as I love John Hurt I still think Paul should have been the one in Day of the Doctor
If I had a time machine we would have both and eccleston
The doctors like chips why have one when you can have a whole bag
"You would suffer the Daleks to live knowing our nature, conquest and extermination!" This line fascinates me because it's the only time we've seen a 100% pure, completely unaltered Dalek display even the slightest hint of self-awareness. It sounds almost as if he actually GETS it, how illogical and mindless their own existence is yet he still doesn't try to change because he knows it's an utterly pointless endeavor.
This Emperor Chap thinks a bit highly of himself, doesn't he?
This was literally nanjing masscre
Oh my god that Dalek is annoyingly smug.
because its Davros
@@gunmasterx1164No..? the first Dalek in this excerpt is the Dalek Time Strategist, a character exclusive to big finish. The deeper voice is the Dalek Emperor from Parting of the Ways.
Was he talking to Davros?
no, he was talking to the Dalek Time Strategist
@@dalekbumps Dalek Time strategist sounds very different, didn't it have a deeper voice?
@@matthewpastrikos7383 The Time Strategist’s voice had gradually changed across the Time War audios. Nowadays, to me at least, it sounds much closer to the Dalek Time Controller than it did in, say, The War Doctor: Agents of Chaos and The War Doctor: Casualties of War.
@@radioactivecheesenowinnucl4746 Speaking of which, what's the difference between the Dalek Time Controller and Dalek Time Strategist? They both have glowing electric ball inside of they're casings and have infinity rings symbol around the casings.
@@matthewpastrikos7383 The Dalek Time Controller was modelled after the silver 60s Daleks and was very much a wildcard, more loyal to himself than to the Dalek Empire. The Dalek Time Strategist was modelled after the new series RTD Supreme Dalek, and was much more loyal to the Emperor and the Dalek Empire.
The gits nicked my title.
What do you mean ?
@@jcrossan1351 chatgpt said it means: "The Gits nicked my title" is an expression used to express annoyance, frustration, or anger about something that has been stolen or taken without permission. It can be used jokingly or seriously, depending on the context. In this example, the person is expressing their frustration that someone has taken their title, possibly by copying it or using it for themselves.
The phrase "The Gits" in this context, is likely referring to a group of people, and "nicked" means "stolen." This expression can be seen as an informal and humorous way to convey dissatisfaction.
