They are snubbed because they wont kiss the hall of fames ass, just like Ted Nugent or like Kiss finally did last year and got in! ..The rock hall is OWNED by a person who decides who he likes....I hate the rock hall...Steve Miller hates them too, look for it on youtube, Steve Miller Hall Of Fame!

So true. I was able to see the originals many times live. They literally rocked a stadium everytime. That was a band one should have never missed seeing. The floor seats and walls kinda shook every time. They would play their hearts out, long concerts.

This band opened several times for Led Zepplin. That was all because Zepplin’s manager “released” them because the crowd loved them.....a lot....🤣🤣 and he didn’t want them drawing attention from Zepplin. When they would play Foot Stompin Music you could literally feel the buildings shake. I was at several. That’s another good listen also!

I saw this band several times back in the day. Over sixty years or more, I've seen thousands of bands, some of the biggest names in history--but honestly, this was the best live band I ever saw. I looked forward seeing and listening to them every time. The perfect timing of the tempo changes, the unrelenting, driving beat, the vocals---wow. The best...

In the early '80s GFR was on tour in Europe and they decided, on a whim, to give a FREE concert for US Troops stationed at my Kaserne in Schweinfurt. Army engineers built a stage suspended on 2 1/2 ton trucks and they brought in power from the nearby Hawk Missile site. Class Act. my fav of theirs is "In Need" off their Red Album.

When I entered the 1970's I was 13 years old...soon after, Grand Funk Railroad became my favorite band in the world and still is to this day. This performance is outstanding...one of the best live performances ever recorded on to You Tube! What is really amazing is that Mark and Don are 20 years old and Mel on bass is only 18...a 3 piece band so young producing this sound is just incredible!

As a side note, I have 2 cousins, one was a classmate of the drummer, Donny Brewer and the other had Brewer's mother as his teacher. They got their name from...Grand Trunk Western Railroad...that was written on the side a railroad overpass there in Flint.

The thing about bands from Detroit is, they're ALL funky! The polka bands from there are probably funky. The ice cream trucks probably play funky music in the summer while they're selling cones. The microphones were borrowed from the radio people, not even ideal for

At 66 I can say that GFR and Led Zeppelin were my 2 favorites back in the day. Early GFR is the best IMO, but knowing you like some organ, they brought that into the mix on the "Phoenix" album. Give "In Need", "Sin's A Good Man's Brother", "Mr Limousine Driver", "Nothing Is the Same", "I'm Your Captain/Closer to Home" and "T.N.U.C." (long drum solo) some love for starters.
