I'm a GFR fan from the 60's n 70's. Mark, Don and Mel breathed life into this band. Don's drums were the heart beat pounding in my chest. Mel's bass moved every muscle in my body and down my spine. Mark was the blood and oxygen and together they all breathed life into the magic that was Grand Funk Railroad. Not to hurt anyone's feelings but lets get the original band back one more time and experience the magic.
GFRR were the first American band to have 10 consecutive PLATINUM ALBUMS. It took the BEATLES 7 weeks , Grand Funk in 3 days to sell Shea Stadium.. and they're still not in the RRHOF !!!!!!!!!!! GFRR one of THE GREATEST BANDS EVER !!!
I first saw Grand Funk at the Los Angeles Forum way back in 1971. To this day they are one of the best bands of all time and should be in the Hall of Fame!
I'm 70, seen them twice and still play bass and guitar with their records and cds. Live on a mountain so I open up. In the summer we have an animal dance day; bear, deer, tacoon and so on. Just sitting and looking out my back door. Best trio ever. Mel, the thunder of bass gods.
One of the greatest “jam” bands of all time! It is criminal that they are not in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Btw, for not pausing and vibing out to this I had to subscribe!!! P.S. Jamie you are hot and have absolutely amazing skin!!
Just watching them perform this song in concert was exhausting. They put so much energy in this. They put on an incredible concert, start to finish. I saw them 3 times.
My older brother introduced me to grand funk in 1975 when I was eight and he was seventeen. In 1984 they came Hawaii Andrew’s amphitheater open seating so I stood next to the stage with my friend . I song along every song even the real deep cuts .At the end of the show as Mark Farner walked off stage he looked and pointed at me and said “rock on brother” it was like god had talked to me . All the years enjoying the bands music . Then at seventeen years old to be given that encouragement 😁. Great reaction video
1971 Cincinnati Ohio Crosley Field tripping on acid I was 17 Grand Funk Railroad Mountain Cactus and I don't know who else That was my first rock concert I saw Grand Funk many more times in Cleveland Always a "high energy" show
Yeah...I'm from Cincy -was there also...Iggy was the closer wif HIS bananas-N-cream thingy-a..... IT WAS a BIT screwed-up wif da cops etc. BUT THEY did turn on THE WATER HOSES -kinda-HOT! ...actually I didnt feel much...WE -I took a Beach Umbrella in (did dat4many outdoor concerts) had 'bout 20 people sittin' under IT -ALSO on Owsley...it was-a-TRIP4sure..."those were days my friend".
In 1971 Grand Funk Railroad sold out Shea Stadium in just 71 HOURS! The only other band to sell out Shea was the Beatles and it took them weeks. They also were unplugged and kicked off the stage when they opened for Led Zeppelin in 1969 at Olympia Stadium in Detroit for being too good for them to follow.
Nice reaction / appreciation! 12 yrs old 1971....let my hair grow 3 4 yrs....was just like marks....took drum lessons because of don....great memories....sold smoked many nickel bags! :)
Love you !!You only stopped "Bop'in", when time you sipped your coffee !!?? Yes, I am a HUGE GFR Fan !! Saw them twice in '71, and they KILLED !! They closed each show with this song.
Omg I can imagine that time was so far out, I've always said I was born in the wrong era, i was born 1979 but I think really my past life was right in the heyday of summer of 69. thanks for sharing some nostalgia with me, much love

I bought their albums back in the 70,s/ now I'm reminiscing again/😊/ Thx/ Those concerts back in those days were wild 3 hr ride concerts for $5 or $6 dollars/ You could take you party supplys in without being searched. In the 80,s the whole dynamic changed?? I think they,re from Flint Mich. You sound like a Michigan girl? Thx😊 5:10

GFR is like Lynyrd Skynyrd, they have many songs to be explored, and it is well worth the exploration. "Paranoid," "Loneliness," "Sins a Good Man's Brother," "I'm Your Captain," and "I Can Feel Him in the Morning" are just a few.
@jamiembryantbreakingstereo6957 That was probably the 100+ time I watched other people reactions to this song. I've been a GFR fanatic for quite a while. I possibly have everything that's been released by them, even the bootlegs, remastered versions
The reason they are not in the hall of fame, is because a lot of their song were over 7 minutes long. They didn't get the radio air time. So that the main reason. It wasn't the music.
No you don't do anything better than The Beatles, embarrassed Led Zeppelin and scare away The Stones, who Grand Funk to tour with. When you mess The 3 King's Of Rock they are not letting you in there!
...Here's the thing I cant get...WHY? no-one has asked............. "Inside Looking Out" was recorded @ WITF-TV in Harrisburg, Pa. for a PBS broadcast called - "The Show" - November 1st, 1969.
Please react to black sabbath..song titles CROSS OF THORN..Vocalist Tony Martin..powerrrr with lyric..classic rock..your favourite..nice song..u will love it ❤❤
This band is NOT in the rock hall of fame. Why not? There's inductees that couldn't carry these guys amps!
R&R hall of fame is a joke

@@billcole5035 RNR HOF gonna wait until they all deceased to enter them

They are from Flint , Michigan.
Rock with them baby.
They were only 19-20 years old at the time of the video.
THIS IS THE BAND THAT DESERVES TO BE IN THE HALL OF FAME THE MOST ! BUT THEY'RE NOT ! SO I WILL FOREVER CALL IT , THE HALL OF LAME !
💯
They did not do drugs beyond alcohol and smoking weed.

Another good band from this era similar to Grand Funk railroad would be the James game. Give them a try.
Happy New Year, Jamie! Could you react to Sissel Kyrkjebø performing "The Old Castle"?
you should react to the song footstomping music in live the grand funk
You said you like to know about the artist. The cocaine comment was unfair. Other than that I like your reaction.
I THINK YOU ARE VERY PRETTY
I LOVE GRAND FUNK THIS IS WHY I PLAY BASS TODAY
THINK HIS GUITAR WAS MADE OF ALUMINUM
Thats an Animals tune
Grand Funk was my jam band 'til I saw the Dead live in 1983
