Is there a way I can tell the difference between an oem, and an oem style wing? I'm looking at buying a couple used wings online, and I'm looking for like a distinguishing feature.
Well the oem style wing looks identical to the oem (original wing). The only difference are: -oem style wing, 4 studs that hold the wing to the trunk, is not made in the spoiler, unlike the the original wing which have the studs made in the wing when u get it. -the oem style wing, brake light is slightly longer than the original oem wing brake light. - the oem style wing when bought, might already have the bake light installed in the wing, while if u but the oem wing, it normally comes with the brake light disassembled, and u would have to screw it in the wing
@@boostedsamuari7436 so i have the oem track spoiler from factory and i have a couple lights out in that spoiler track wing. do i have to replace the whole light in the wing or like replace a couple bulbs? how does that work? i also have the same light up rear badge, ( i didnt put in), could that be a reason why i have a couple of lights out on the oem track wing brake light?
Protective for those installing this simply use a copper tube and a drill bit smaller than the copper tube stick the copper tube in the existing Ohio mounting holes on the underside of the trunk use that copper tube as the guide for an undersized drill bit and drill a hole from the bottom outwards out of the top of the trunk perfect alignment every time
Yea that’s what I did. But i would do the measurements like I did. Indicated with tape and a marker up top. Then from below where the oem holes are, get a tap drill or something that can make a noticeable dent and make a dent from the oem holes underneath. That way u can see if it lines up with your measurements up top
MyBandit86 yea, it’s the oem wing. Here’s a link on amazon for the oem STYLE spoiler. It’s the same as oem but, the brake light is a bit longer and the strut where u bolt it to your trunk are positioned slightly different than the oem one. So u can use my measurements for this spoiler. But I believe there’s another guy on here that installed this spoiler. -> Accent Spoilers - Spoiler for a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2 dr. @@boostedsamuari7436 Thanks for the quick reply. I have been having a hard time finding ones with the bolts. Every other one i find wants me to drill new holes. Do you have yours painted aftermarket? Doesnt look like Hyundai has an option for color match.
MyBandit86 I bought mine off a guy which had a black gen. But u should be able to either by one off someone on a fb group or from eBay (the oem one that is)
I got it off somebody on offerup lol. It’s the oem track wing. U could it off amazon. But u can get the oem style spoiler which is cheaper l. it’s the exact same. Only thing different is the light bar. I believe the brake light is a bit longer on the oem style one.
The one I installed is the oem one. The other one I was referring to is the “fake” wing that’s called oem style. It’s made to look like the real one. But the break light strip is a bit longer, and the studs that bolt the spoiler to the trunk are positioned differently and look differently
Just ordered my spoiler too and am nervous as hell to for the installation. But good job bro. It looks really nice 👍👏
Thanks bro!! Good luck! It’s not as hard as it seems lol. Just the first step, cutting, is kinda nerve racking lol
where did you order it from?

Hey what wires did you wire it up too?
Love that rear diffuser
Thanks man! Me too 🔥🔥
How did yours come painted?

Thank youuu ❤️❤️
That's what I would do!
If you have any questions just let me know and I’ll get right back to you guys!

you think this would fit on the sedan?
Not sure
Where can I buy this, I hate the oem style as it's easily broken 😫
On eBay or Amazon lol
Where you cop this at ?

Amazon
Did u end up installing the 3rd break light Aswell ?
Nope not yet. I want to thought just don’t know how yet lol
BoostedSamuari I jus saw a vid on how to do it, looks pretty easy but i isn’t no electrician 😂😂. I jus ordered mine.
Raffaele Caligiuri by who 👀.
Just installed it. Video will be out soon
Don't think that wing is specific to the track version, pretty sure they all have them except done of the bk1 2.0t
Well some genesis coupe have the wing. It doesn’t matter if it’s a bk1 or 2
@@boostedsamuari7436 yeah my bk1 r spec did not come with one but the basic bk1 I lost in hurricane Harvey did, weird
You call it OEM then you say it's not the OEM. What?
