My favorite thing about Hendrix is the looseness, yet dead on precision of his playing. You could really tell he was a musician who’s strat was a third arm.
Eric gales took care of that. Played it 10 million times in his career at every jam he's ever had with any other guitarist. Actually not sure he'd ever played another song
Thanks for reminded me how great Jimi was and what he did for the guitar playing world. I'm 70 and remember when I first heard him on the radio. He changed everything for me. He was #1 influence on my guitar playing.
Yes and it depends on your mental state, (mood, awareness , how awake you are , etc etc) it often can sound different each time because he played so multidimensionally, doing so many different things at same time musically. You can't hear it all in a single session of most of his work. Even hear things you never noticed he was doing. Even Stevie Rarely Vaughn said that he heard something new in Are You Experienced album. I think mid 80s on radio interview. This is 20 years after record release, he heard new things Jimi was doing! He said he got the record when it came out in 67. I think Jimi's playing was so much a direct making sounds from guitar, no theory notes etc like from his "gut" or all parts of body. Like a person singing , with no knowledge of structure of scales etc, just direct to voice sound wanting to make, any sound majeable with voice as Jimi made music sounds with extreme familiarity with possibilities. Like a painter with a pallet of colors limited only by imagination.
I always have loved how hendrix used the 4th frett (C#- C) for some of his riffs like Freedom and Crosstown Traffic. Robin Trower certainly took inluence from those ideas for Day of the Eagle (also great). Wonderful job as always!!!
I was doing the math in my head as it approached number one... "Ohhhh snap, it's gonna be Little Wing." And I was right. Also, who else could have wrote any of these riffs? What a genius that guy was.
My dad is a rockstar he kills all this I grew up in the 80s every night I had to listen to my dad playing loud ass guitar music and as I grew up I came to love this old real shit
I've watched a lot of Your movies, and was never dissapointed, You play always so smooth and clean, it's absolute privillige to listen to You. I'm learning since almost year, and so happy there are people like You that share their knowledge and passion. Best regards from Poland.
My favorite riff is one of the riffs in “power of soul”, he uses lots of different riffs in that song but the one that really cool is the one that John Mayer uses a lot (in the end of “who did you think I was live in la” ) in the Hendrix song it’s at 0 : 55 (in his live at the Fillmore east version)
The Wind cries Mary, Manic Depression, Purple Haze, Hey Joe and Foxy Lady. So, to put it in a nutshell, half of the list is made of the "Are you experienced" album. Noice
My list: 1. Little wing 2. Hey joe 3. Burning of the midnight lamp 4. Bold as love 5. The wind cries mary 6. 1983 7. Wait until tomorrow 8. Castles made of sand 9. Long hot summer night 10. Manic depression
you are a god the way you can tel guitarist apart i cant wen it comes to you you make it sound the best like you have capcherd all the greatest guitarist powers and can play them all👍
EXCELLENT tribute to the greatest guitarist!!! I "liked" your video and added it to my Hendrix playlist, so don't get me wrong when I noticed how many ghost notes, hammer on's, pull offs, tempos, unexplainable sounds, and over all "feel" was missed, for example, "Freedom" intro @ 0:16 was missing those unexplainable sounds that Jimi created from the strings' tension as he bent the strings or something (like i said, "unexplainable sounds"). Go back and listen closer to the original recording, it's difficult to catch, but in the intro to FREEDOM Jimi is making some pitches ascend, while other pitches are descending, it's kind of bizarre, and i've never heard anyone duplicate it. To hear it, you can't listen to the main riff, you have to pay attention to the lines in the behind the main riff. No one has ever come close to Jimi's fluidity, so please don't take my comments as a negative "dis" to you, they are meant as a compliment to Jimi Hendrix. I have nothing but MAJOR respect for your playing Danilo. Your bravery and intelligence for attempting to play the greatest guitar riffs known to man is deeply appreciated and applauded. I would give you a standing ovation if I heard you play Hendrix in a club! No one can be Hendrix, but you've done a great job of keeping Jimi's spirit with us. Keep up the good work! ps...If you want a fun "challenge"....try playing AND singing the "Stonefree" version on "Live at the Filmore East" released in 1999 on MCA. I've challenged hundreds of guitarist to try it, and not one has ever had the courage to attempt it in public or RUclips, but you might be the one guitarist who is up to the challenge ruclips.net/video/xvSebN5EZZI/видео.html

Truth. It’s insane. No one sounded like this. No one wrote music like this. Insane.
He completely redefined electric guitar. His work still sounds amazing today, imagine how mind blowing it was to listeners of his time.

Little wing is such an underrated Hendrix song the melody is glorious and its fun to play
Its among his most well known.
underrated? it's like one of his most played songs in Spotify and everyone loves it and consider it one of the greatest guitar songs of.all. time
lol its the most played guitar song by musicians well known alike
It's not underrated at all, many consider it to be his most beautiful piece.
Apparently you don't know what underrated means. It Ranked 1. in the list because it's 'underrated'?
Mi fa venire voglia di suonare più Jimi.... WE ALL NEED MORE JIMI IN OUR LIVES!!!
