Ok so the House Of The Dragon finale is now here and Episode 10 brings a lot with it. The final entry is filled with easter eggs, hidden details, book differences and things that set up where season 2 is going. You know the drill by now, full spoilers for the episode for the first part of the video and if you wanna know what comes next in the story then that will be at the end in our super spoiler super spoiling section.
    -
Titled the Black Queen it sets up Rhaenyra as the leader of the group that still hold their oaths loyal to Viserys. However as we've seen many still believe that a man should sit on the throne above all else and because of this, keeping allies becomes difficult due to people having the bias that men should lead.
This is seen most notably in Lord Borros who we meet at Stormsend. This location was shown all the way back in episode 4 when Rhaenyra went there to pick out a suitable husband. Here we saw her with Borros' father Boremond who died between 116 - 132 AC. Borros has many daughters and in the books he says that if he were to die then Storms End would pass to a male so why should it be different with Kings Landing.
We'll get into that later on with the Kinslaying becoming a major event but you could say that the loser wasn't that strong after all.
    -
Now to lay out where we're at in the story, Episodes 1-8 took place during chapter 12 titled the heirs of the dragon. Last week began with chapter 13 The Blacks and The Green and this episode continues that before going into the Son For A Son chapter that follows it.
Similar to the episode, the rest of chapter 13 takes place on Dragonstone and we go there whilst the cheers for Aegon ring out. Unlike the show, his coronation wasn't interrupted by Rhaenys and it was more of a happy event with The Greens taking a clear win.

I thought for sure u would comment on how Ryhaenyra saying she didnt want to rule over ash and bone mirrored how Dani told Olenna, I think, "im not here to be the queen of ashes". The flight scene, ugh! so good, my heart was pounding the entire time. Loved Aemond laughing without a care while all that chaos ensued! Just epic. Daemond...such a great & oftentimes ambiguous character. He seemed almost bitter to be holding the crown & it not being his and then he turns and his eyes softened upon Ryhaenyra & he crowns her. So its like hmm. And so on with so many other moments throughout between them. Cant believe we have to wait 2yrs! Wish they had ended the scene with her screaming & her dragon screaming at the same time!
*edit: thanks for all ur videos on this show though, its been awesome!

I saw it Friday myself. It aired EARLY for those who are PRIME HBO members. My Streaming Service agreement got us that EARLY showing as well. Someone else that got to see it early must have put it online deliberately. Personally I waited to talk about the episode for the REST of the viewers to see it first, that person, who has to be a Video Content Maker I believe, didn't do the fandom that RESPECT! The same thing happened with AMC's early viewings of TWD. Just tell people who may have seen the episode early to keep it to themselves until the Main audience gets a chance to see it!

A lot of people are unhappy with the change from the book, however the book is maesters recounting stories... All season it's been hinted that the control of Dragons is an illusion.
The way I interpreted this was that in Episode 7 Aemond says 'Its okay Mother, I may have lost an eye but I gained a Dragon' and now obsessing over that eye has symbolically broken the bond he had with Vhagar causing her to disobey him in this moment.

I mean, if aegon’s prophecy hadn’t been such a secret then alicent wouldn’t have even mistaken viserys to be talking about their son when he died lol. Really could’ve saved everyone a lot of trouble!!
Im also really glad they kept daemon strangling rhaenyra. People should hate it. It drives me crazy to see them romanticized- I like their relationship as it’s complex but like you said daemon isn’t a nice guy and their relationship was never healthy. The parts in the book, particularly when she was young and he was “teaching” her about sex is just textbook grooming and abuse. I’m glad they toned that part way down in the show but I’m glad they’re keeping the reality of when you’re in a relationship with similar dynamics. It’s nothing to romanticize because there’s no such thing as a man who is violent and tormented and troubled to everyone “but” his woman- it’s a fairytale that always comes to an end, as we saw when he strangled her. He murdered rhea and didn’t see laena as his equal partner. His relationship with rhaenyra may be unique from the other two but at the end of the day he’s still daemon and he didn’t treat the other women poorly because they weren’t as good as rhaenyra, it was simply because daemon has issues and is dangerous to be in a relationship with, period. But many people have poor relationship models growing up and hang onto fantasies of two broken people coming together to be whole and to heal and experience true love that they never had. But it’s a fantasy and I’m glad the show is keeping true to what makes the material so phenomenal- the realistically human aspects of the characters.

    Helaena’s children are Aemond’s not Aegon’s.
    11 reasons why
Reasons: 1) In episodes 7 Aegon says he doesn’t want to marry her and Aemond says that he would and perform his duties.
    2) Aegon doesn’t care for his duties that’s why Helaena never seems to know where Aegon is.
    3) In episode 8 when Helaena gives her speech about marriage she says “it’s not that bad he mostly just ignores you” then she takes a pause as she looks at everyone realizing that if Aegon ignores her all the time than how could he be the father her children. Then she says “accepts when he’s drunk” to cover her own behind and her children. And then everyone starts laughing and Otto says “Good” as in good you managed to save your own behind.
    4) When Jace ask Helaena to dance Aegon looks at Aemond like he knows about him and Helaena and to keep a cool head as to not expose themselves by getting angry for asking Helaena his lover to dance.
    5) In episode 9 right before Otto and Alicent come in to her chambers to ask where Aegon is she tells her children that if one sibling is giving everything the other will get jealous and want to take it themselves which represent Aemond he feels that the Iron Throne and Helaena should be his not Aegon’s.
    6) Right after Helaena tells Otto and Alicent that she doesn’t know where Aegon is Otto storms off to come up with a plan to find and Alicent tries to talk with him and she says “Father” and you can hear one of Helaena’s children says “Aemond”.
7)Aemond looks shocked to find Alicent in Helaena’s chambers and Helaena looks at him them looks down nervously since they both know they shouldn’t be in her chambers alone since she is a married women and Targaryen’s are known for incest which can cause rumors to spread about them and the legitimacy of her children.
8)Aemond tells Ser Criston that he’s next in line for the throne if Aegon is dead or cannot be found. This statement would only be true if Helaena’s children weren’t Aegon’s . If Aegon was dead or they couldn’t find him then Aegon and Helaena’s first born would be next in line not Aemond. But he knows he is next in line because Helaena’s children are his bastards.
9)Aemond says “Tis I the younger brother who studies history and philosophy, it is I who trains with the sword, who rides the largest dragon in the world, it is I who should be….” Then pauses and many people thought he was referring that he should be the king but as episode 9 goes on he doesn’t care about others knowing his ambition to be king. The reason he paused was because he was going to say “It is I who should be with Helaena.” Ser Criston says he knows the feeling of not being able to have what you want in Ser Criston case who you want which Ser Criston wants Alicent. This leads me to believe that Aemond was talking about how Helaena should have been his wife”.
    10) This show emphasizes characters hair as a way to determine parentage if you notice Aegon and Helaena both have wavy curly hair but “their” children have straight hair just like Aemond.
    11) When it looked as if Rhaenys was going to burn them with her dragon Aemond protects Helaena and she grabs his arm when I believe the show depicts her as being autistic since she some characteristics like she doesn’t like physical contact when Alicent hugs her in episode 8 she just stand still with her arms down and in episode 9 Alicent tries to console her by touching her arm she pulls away so if she is portrayed as being autistic as I believe she is. She would only have physical contact with someone she trust like her lover Aemond.

I mean if she's going to be a MAD Queen on the next season, imma say she better be.

Otto was the one poisoning the king, not the king’s wife. If you look at the series the king was a deaths door earlier in the timeline, then after Otto got sacked the King made a recovery and went on to live another ten years, then as soon as Otto came back as the hand the Kings health then nosedived again and he died.
I loved the dragon fight though, interesting that they are going with the Dance of Dragons being caused by accidents/misunderstandings rather than people doing it deliberately….
