Handbrake lever is from a series 2 land rover it was attached to the drivers seat bucket and had that oval bolted leather boot. Just like that one.. My wife had a S2 landy..that's how I know👍
This is the original Batmobile for me, it departed from the original series Batmobile and was truely a character in its own right. The outlandish designs from the later mobies were pale imitations and never had that same spirit. The Tumbler is a completely different animal, just like everything else in the Chistopher Nolan movies, and I'd hold it up right beside this one as the true embodyment of the spirit of the Batmobile. That said, this Batmobile has a special place in my heart, right beside the Ecto-1, and Kitt... and probably a few others I'm forgetting.
I grew up to the 1989 Batman movie and it's sequel respectfully. And ever since then, this has been my favorite of all Batmobile's. Oh man some people just have all the fun. If I had even a replica, I could live and die happier ever after.
personally I always loved the batmobile from Batman The Animated Series, its very similar to this one but maybe more realized being like a 30 foot long absolute beast of a car that bruce wayne had personally built for him by one singular engineer
@@Bulldog1878 I think he is more than 1" taller than Hammond, although not sure where you get the idea that a short car enthusiast would wish they were taller (lots of very nice older cars are not tall-person friendly!)
It's so weird to hear people say "an underrated Batman" about the Burton movies. Burton's Batman set a new standard for superhero movies. It was, for a very long time, seen as the gold standard for Batman. And as a movie, it still holds up to this day. The visual design especially is some of the best ever, and last time I checked, it was still fairly widely accepted as such, and not just my personal opinion. And all of a sudden, Burton's Batman is considered as underrated? Perhaps forgotten, because a lot of Batman fans today weren't born when that movie came out, and many young people aren't interested in seeing movies that are older than themselves, but I still think among those who were alive when the Burton movies came out, this is considered to be the ultimate Batmobile.
V8, that’s cute. Casey Putsch is the one who has the actually turbine powered one. Seriously though, as someone who has had testicular cancer, the attention is appreciated :)
No other Batmobile replica comes close to what Casey managed (if you can even call it a replica as it's arguably more authentic than the actual movie prop).
The editor really needs to stop cutting between shots, have a look at examples of track driving from top gear from the last 20 years, its just a bit off putting otherwise, I believe you can do it
We want to watch *THE CAR*, not you. Voicover is OK, but you could show us the car while you talk. Or at least I hope you have the ability... I notice that you didn't get spendy enough to bother with a tripod at the track 😩
I've seen one in Sydney, the guy who made it said that he used some of the original parts, I think the back wings was from the actual movie. It was amazing to see this thing in real life.
My favorite with the Tumbler, this survitamined humvee mixed with a rebound, remember that RC car from the 90’? The Tumbler is legendary, like the movies ! But the 89’ batmobile is a rolling sculpture 🤩
Of the interest I would not like to see someone lose for a moment.Get yourself a fast car & take your time acquiring or building a new car.Get a hover bike & practice.Start off with racing drones for perfect camera placement & do your best getting into the process of making movies.

@@jbtOO7it’s literally an awful take. The Tim Burton movies are the highest praised Batman movies besides The Dark Knight. And even then I’d argue the Tim Burton ones are better **Batman** movies. The Dark Knight is more of a detective movie, which is fitting for “the world’s greatest detective” and all, but yeah.
I've got a picture of me sitting in that car. It was taken at a car show back in 2001 or 2002, I can't remember. It's an incredibly tight fit to get into.
@Bugatti Chiron Supersport Probably but just barely. I was 6 foot 2 inches tall and 220lbs back then and now I'm 6 foot 3 inches tall and 236lbs so I could probably cram myself in there. In all honesty I have trouble getting in most small cars, lol.
What a great idea. A feature perfect for The Grand Tour. The iconic Movie and TV car shootout. I'd imagine Hammond turning up in the General Lee, Clarkson in the original Batmobile and May in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! Lol

Old Austin mini handbrake?
If only we could get cpt slow in the turbine one for a top speed run...sigh..

I still like the turbine powered version Casey Putsch built! 😎
You beat me to this comment. Too bad Casey's has gone into hiding for a while.

Casey's blows this away by far.
