See as a south Indian, i am telling you i love india. I have travelled around India. I understand south is not upset that we are paying more taxes, we are worried that taxes that we are paying are going into politicians pockets rather than helping our north brothers. With more development our maintenance costs have increased. We also need those money.

Definitely North states have improved. I cam vouch for it personally. Have been travelling since childhood. Its amazing to see the development. But our concern of money being utilised properly is more about population control. If we don't cap that, then few states will end up taking burden of over population. Be it south or north. Tomo MP Rajasthan can also argue/fight if UP/Bihar/WB population keeps increasing. Families with hum do hamaare do from 1971 should only be counted in population count. Others should be debarred from any schemes!

Let North be A and South be B. A contributes rs.10 and B contributes rs.20. Now rs.30 goes to politician and he/she pockets rs.10. Now he/she distributes remaining i.e. rs.20 among both A & B and not rs.30. The point is that when it comes to money pocketing, its a National issue not regional.
And also building building needs more money than its maintenance.

Hi brother , I'm from Bihar and the concerning problem is that more than 90% of the funds allocated by the central government directly goes into the pocket of corrupt leaders. Come to Bihar , you will easily see the heights of corruption in any government project.

And penalty borne by us is great. For example,
I'm from Andhra Pradesh and it lost nearly ₹ 24000cr of budget allocation and also never got special status as promised by central government (both Congress and BJP)
Also they aren't increasing the amount for Polavaram Dam as project cost has increased.
In Bihar ₹1710 crores worth bridge collapsed but no serious action was taken by central government. But they can't give some crores for Polavaram Dam completion.

Being a South Indian myself (from TN),I can't agree more. Voting based on caste has always been there, infact being the deciding factor. Recently, language factor has also crept in, in a big way.
I am karnataka and our state song starts with- "Jai Bharatha Jananiya Thanu Jathe, Jai Hai Karnataka Mathe" even our state song keeps the nation Bharath first, We are Bharatiya before belonging to any region.

Greatly appreciate a lot of your past videos but can't agree with this one. The video is one sided pointing out why the logic of southern ministers maybe flawed while conveniently ignoring the decades of misgovernance and misplaced priorities in the northern states. The freight equalization policy benefitted Maharashtra and Gujarat as much as the state of Tamil Nadu. Andhra Pradesh (erstwhile) and Karnataka grew with the IT/Software boom while the northern states (barring NCR) were napping. Looking at current birth rate nearing replacement rate is ignoring how compounding works. India's population in 1947 was approx. 34 cr, 76 years into 2023 UP & Bihar alone have that number. The debt burden on some of the southern states is partly because of draining away the funds from these states, and even the ones that are not in high debt metros are crumbling due to lack of infrastructure investments.
Let's flip the questions here, for all the money disproportionately diverted to the northern states, can our brothers & sisters from the north whole heartedly say they were invested productively into employment generating assets? Are we sure their elected representatives have done justice to their problems with regards to employment generation, education, healthcare and getting investments? Why are we penalizing states for doing well instead of holding the ones who have not accountable? As a federal system, we are all for supporting all states, but this should not come at the cost of bankrupting the nation and killing the golden goose. Peace!

In the example of 2 sons having different income, you said the parents allocate more money to the son with lesser income.
But in case of India, the parent is taking money from the son who earns more to give it away to the son who earns less. Is it wrong for a guy to feel that his earnings should go to his children, but rather, it's going to his under performing siblings?

Ambedkar sir based it on population for long term reasons. If the richer state gets more funds they will do even better than the poorer states . then when they contibute more tax,they keep getting more funds . in the end the other poorer states will collapse due to lack of funds .
the big population is actually a bigger reason for poverty amd unemployement,because it is simply difficult to manage so many people. So in the long run states are realising that it is important to manage the population , to utilise the funds in a more efficient way.

Hey Man, really comprehansive data - i was unaware of the population control on notheren side of states, I completely agree that there has been a huge amount of polarization happening on these very topics and politicians are not picking up the right elements to discuss. There are fair amount of issues and advantages that souther states have. I am from Telengana, there is a huge freebie culture here in Telengana, Andhra & Tamil nadu, from my knowledge and Debt to GDP radio in all the southern states are alarmingly high.
One concern i want to get educated on is on the representation of south states on key policies and development projects. From my knowledge, alot of commited developements have been moved to Gujart and UP from Andhra pradesh and the reasons could be the political inclination. 80 Seats in UP and 20 seats in Andhra(subject to correction), the priority will be obviously more on UP's seats. If there is some kind of assurance of sorts that the representation will be more then the people here would be less panicked.

The problem is that states like Bihar and UP are blackholes for our taxes. The leaders are too corrupt in that state to actually improve them at all and those leaders will keep winning taking advantage of religion or poverty in that state. You can't just keep taking money from other states and throwing it, expecting it to solve itself. The government must audit and ensure the money is used for its true purpose( but they won't do that).
Also there are no pseudoethnic differences, the ethnic differences are very real, people of the Northern plains really are ignorant about rest of Indian culture or south indian history, even hinduism is practiced differently, and literally noone is expected to learn a south indian language while south indians are here learning hindi and north indian history along with their own. That's a major separation as we feel unrecognised by the majority of south indians.

Just blaming one policy for development of southern and Western states is very superficial observation of actual reality. These states are ahead of North because various other factors which gave good results. Good implementation of land reforms, emphasis of health and education, social reforms was carried out in theses state with great history of social reforms in tamilnadu, Andra, Maharashtra Karnataka and more. Low level of corruption compare to North sates govt. So neglecting theses factors and totally ignoring argument of southern states and labelling them just as political motivated is not going to solve these problems. We are diverse country and we should respect diversity of every region. Overemphasis on Hindi belt in govt policies, Hindi arrogance by native Hindi speakers in other states when they come to work here need to be addressed otherwise it will damage our unity. Atleast govt should give equal seats to every states in rajya sabha like true federal system so that interest on theses states will also be considered while policy making by central govt. Otherwise over representation of northern states in parliament will definitely damage others representation. Just blaming one policy for backwardness of theses states undermines the efforts made by Himachal pradesh, haryana, uttarakhand, panjab etc. as these are also Northern states and landlocked but still managed to transform themselves and now some of the richest sates in India. About independence of South India and how it will have bad effects southern states, it's true that they will face problems but independent south will be worst for northern India , northern states will be in more bad condition than south considering huge population, less resources, low health and education indicators. So instead of fighting and blaming we should work to resolve these issues with consideration of all people and respecting every states it's people it's launguage and promote compititive federalism among states. Union of India will not be strong without United people.

My opinions that I would like to state:-
1) Kolkata has a port 😅
2) North Indians should control Population first, especially the BIMARU states. As a North Indian, I can understand the concern raised by our South Indian brothers and sisters. If you are earning low, your family planning should also be small (1 child max).
We cant really expect them to just stop having more kids. Poor people always have more kids and rich people don't. The very reason is lack of knowledge about family planning and taboos regarding contraceptives. Also, they don't even have money for contraceptives even if they want it.
So The first thing north needs is education and awareness.
