I always imagine that Durmstrang is like the House of Ares, while Beauxbatons as the House of Aphrodite. They each have boys and girls with the particular characteristics. Imagine how badass Durmstrang's girls and how Kpop-ish pretty Beauxbatons' boys, lol

I have been waiting for this since you posted your Beauxbaton video and you didn’t disappoint. I’m always speechless about how you get the fitting clips, voiceovers, colouring and music and make them fitt together.
I totally support your decision not to make a video on the other houses. I love the Harry Potter books. I truly do. But I think that JK Rowling should have just ended everything with “And all was well” and just leave it there. With everything she has going on right now I think that she is actually hurting the series. The Cursed Child is absolutely unacceptable as canon and I don’t think that anyone needs FBAWTFT ( although it was nice to watch).
I’d love to see your take on wizard families like the Potters, Weasleys, Malfoys, Blacks, Lestranges, Longbottoms and so on. Of course only if you’re interested and inspired enough!

First forgive me for any typo, English is not my mother tongue. Congratulations on the job, it's amazing and your aesthetics are awesome.
I just read the link you shared and I'm not surprised with the content. Many fans were annoyed and disappointed with the other schools, not just the American one. In fact, Hogwarts already had enough problems, and it was hoped that JK would fix these problems before writing about other schools (I mean, she might have stopped talking shit about Slytherin on Twitter for a long time, not to mention the other innumerable problems of the series, such as lack of representativeness of any kind). I have to admit that I did not realize the racism (now evident) in Ilvermorny's houses before reading the link. But I had already realized the racism that is placed in other schools. I'm from Brazil, and J.K simply created a school where she determined that all of South America (which is a huge condinente that mixes diverse cultures) would study there. My country is the only one who speaks the Portuguese language, but she wants us to accept that all the others who speak Spanish (and their own dialects and even other mixed languages) simply leave their countries to go to my own, speak a new language and accept a completely different culture. Not to mention that the castle was inspired by the Mayan tales without any regard to the fact that we were not these natives.
Honestly, although fans share a lot of affection for the saga, Harry Potter has been a big disappointment in recent years. As much with the problems that already had, as with the new, like Fantastic Animals and Cursed Child. Not to mention the great craze that J.K has to want to take credit for something she has not explicitly put into the story. (An example was Dumbledore's homosexuality, mentioned only after the end of the saga and not being put into the new films.)
Sorry if this was long, I think I needed to vent on that with someone.

You're absolutely right. I grown with Harry Potter, and in these years I had to recognize all the crap that jk did and said.
I'm italian, and there isn't even a school for italian wizards: I thought that it would be Beauxbatons, but nowhere on Pottermor JK Rowling mentions italian wizards. I know it's not that important, but people complain about how Ilvermorny wouldn't be able to contain all the north-american wizards, when we don't even have a proper school; i don't know, it just piss me off -.-
I agree with you and have noticed the same issues (and mind you, I love HP for the enormous role it has played in my childhood/young adult life). One my best friends is also from Brazil and we've discussed the topic of the other schools at length (because we're writing a HP-ff) and we've both agreed that the concept of Hogwarts, which JK has simply copy-pasted onto all the other schools simply does not work. Take Beauxbatons and Durmstrang for example. The idea that is proposed here, as far as I understand it is that Beauxbatons (situated in France) is the school for western European magical children and Durmstrang for eastern European ones. This means that Beauxbatons is attended by not just French, but also by Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Austrian, Swiss (...) pupils. How is that supposed to work on the most basic logistic level? What is the language in which the classes are held? Are pupils sorted according to their mother tongue or is a thorough knowledge of French a prerequisite in order to attend? Same goes for Durmstrang, which is located "somewhere in the high North" and yet pupils from Bulgaria attend it (and Bulgaria is just as south as the heel of Italy). Not to mention all the other eastern European countries like Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, B&H, Serbia, Macedonia, Finland, (...) and apparently the not-so-eastern, but "high North" countries like Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Iceland? Do they ALL go to Durmstrang? And if so which bleeding language do they have in common? And where in the blazes do they all fit, seeing as Krum said that Durmstrang castle is smaller than Hogwarts?

@@r8p6 lol even a Chinese like Cho Chang had to go to Hogwarts (sorry if I'm wrong I just assumed she's Chinese) there are no mentioning of Asian wizarding comunity even on Quidditch world cup. Imagine what kind of spell they have, so far the spells are in latin or something.
BUT, it still a great story though. Maybe at the time JK doesn't really think about this and only focus on the main characters of her story

uhhh in one of my favorite fics (double edged sword, its drarry) they met in hogwarts and he went to hogwarts until after the war in which he went to durmstrang, and i can't unsee it and this video makes me stan durmstrang draco even more. i swear, draco could be perfect in hogwarts, beuxbatons, or durmstrang smh. thank you for the beautiful video and the great reason to stan him and this fic even more
