I love Brian's shouty vocal on this! This should have been on the "Live" CD, and the version of "Sail on Sailor" where Brian also delivers a really good lead.
And he hits the high note at the end of the verse at the top of his chest voice. I think one of the positives (and the biggest one) in this tour is that Brian's voice was in amazing shape for most shows, he was really daring and trying to hit notes he didn't hit for years or was afraid to hit and miss. One can notice he was really happy during this tour.
Well I saw Mike and Bruce of the Beach Boys sing this last night and it wasn't nearly as good even though John cowsill did a good job. There's nothing like the five surviving Beach Boys playing music together. So sad that the band has broken up into different factions and Brian's band is not even playing anymore. So those of you who love the authentic sound of the Beach Boys, save and cherish this video as it will never happen again
Ever since this comment I've looked at other videos of this song where Al sang the original lyrics and Mike does seem satisfied that he did so. I guess he was actually pissed in this one lol
Literally the best version of this song I've ever heard. Brian killing it too
Brian’s voice was solid on this, love that he went all in on the last note of the chorus, when he wants to he can still sound great.

I think the CD should’ve had literally every song they did on the tour.
God, if only....
Love everything about it. Al and Brian really get into the leads. And any David Marks riff is a great riff.
Danke für die tollen Aufnahmen!!! Tolles Konzert, Pech, wer nicht da war.

Is it me or from 2:05 Does Mike Love look pissed with Al for not singing the original lyric "If I didn't tell her" ?
Well, regardless, Al did a great job on vocals. I love that Picardy third in the end
