I just bought a 16gb ram model for 809 euros. I'm on my last year of computer science and I wanted something light for entertainment but, most importantly, to program java, python, c and angular stuff on. I'm currently running a dual-boot gaming heavy laptop that works great on linux(minus when it freezes due to it only having 8gb of ram) and works like shit on windows because windows is a pain in the ass for dual-booting. Overall, I'm super excited to see how fast my programs will run on apple sillicon and super stoked for macos sequoia's "tiles" feature for window snapping.
this got recommended to me like 50 times, i didn’t wanna watch but i did anyways, i will edit this after watching the video to tell yall my experience on watching something that youtube thinks i like edit: nah man my attention span is fried bro i got bored after the 16 second mark
it saddens me that such an amazing device had to motherboard fail on me TWICE in the span of four years! I bought 2 M1s and maybe im just unlucky but they both had motherboard failures :( And I only used it for casual school work
you're in the wrong place. no one who is a student who might be living in a dorm, going from class to class, or to their internship or just be around studying in campus wouldn't want to carry a desktop pc with a monitor, keyboard and a mouse. even if those spaces will have plugs that will power your pc and monitor. also it is always cheaper to build a pc. how ever, its not cheap to build a life where you can do all of your work remotely from a personal computer from the comfort of your home
true that, I feel like it just boils down to personal needs. The Air M1 is light and has good battery life, while you can't really carry a desktop PC to class. However, being able to upgrade your PC and having that flexibility to make your PC however you like it is awesome, especially if you have computer-lite courses or have access to a computer in class. I'd still pick the Mac, but you bring up an interesting perspective
I genuinely do appreciate the feedback tho, would a different type of music be better or should I switch to no music at all? I’m leaning towards no music
@@FlyingPigChannel um you can try other music mostly calm ones and sometimes not throughout the whole video. until then it's probably better with no music because you making random jokes is good already
One important thing to check is if the MacBook is under MDM. Now's a great time with Sequoia available, and it's likely the used MacBook is on Sonoma. Ask the seller to upgrade to Sequoia-if MDM is there, it will show up right away.

would u recommend 8gb ram variant for mern stack development?
@@shenlong7890 I wouldn´t recommend any computer with 8gb of ram in 2024. I wouldn´t even recommend it in 2022

I’m sorry to hear that, just out of curiosity did Apple replace your laptops under warranty?
@@FlyingPigChannel there're no apple stores in Morocco only certified resellers that guy a 1 year warranty. both my M1s died on the 2nd year mark 🥲
its cheaper to build a pc than to buy a macbook tbh

bro the background music is so unnecessary it's annoying
Good thing my new video has no background music 😃

Good to know, thanks for sharing! That’s definitely important to take a look at when buying used.
