It because of the n57 engine which are prone to setting on fire, most police forces are getting rid of the 330 and x5 models that use this engine, look up the fatal police crash in Cumbria and you will see how dangerous the n57 engine is in police vehicles

Thanks for your comment, this was customer preference as the installation was carried out by their in-house team, many of our products are synchronisable but this is not always required
