I believe that if you hang it this way, it’s thought to spread luck to the household or those passing underneath. However, others believe it lets the luck ‘run out.’ So I’m not sure 🤷♀️ 😂 - Amy
Looks gorgeous! it really feels like high quality work. As someone who built a solar powered boat, some comments... - you lack more clothes storage and food storage - clean the solar panels frequently - put a thermometer in the electronics area connected to some alarm system of some kind. The van is currently flammable as hell so you want safety against electrical faults, which with DC turn into nasty light arcs easily.
Love this build guys - you've seriously done such a top job. Great thinking with the mini door into the cab! Super modular too. I really enjoyed the thought process behind the 'why' of so many of your choices. Sheesh, you're kinda motivating me to do a van tour too!
Thanks so much-so glad you liked it!!What’s wild is that after living in it for a few months now, we wouldn’t change a thing about the design- we actually spent years thinking about the layout 😅🤣 The ‘hobbit hole’ has been super practical-we use it daily, so all that extra effort was 100% worth it. You should totally do a van tour of your own! Thanks again for watching! - Amy
Howdy from Texas. Love your build, you did a wonderful job but one bit of advice your horse shoe is pointing down and you need to point it up so that the luck don't run out.
The office tables are really nice, and it's an inspiring original layout! I need deeper desk though - I need at least 70 cm deep :-)) I don't understand, though, how can you live without windows! It's really dark in there.
Honestly the desk depth doesn’t both me, I just use my laptop on it 🤷🏼♂️ Amy’s is pretty deep though! No windows is annoying when we’re in the city (although the skylight and cab window offer some light) but in the bush we just have the door open 90% of the time with a fly screen 🤷🏼♂️
Ive been waiting for this vid since your last one! I think im in love with your home a little bit ( massively). Its outstanding 😍 you guys have really thought of everything. Been watching other videos of camper vans n checking out different layouts, methods but yours is my favourite❤. its really inspired me to pull the finger out to do the same in future once i get some finance and drivers license ✔️ keep up the great work you two! 🎉 Congratulations 👏
Ha what a nice comment! Thank you so much! We've had a proper chance to test it out now and the crazy thing is we wouldn't change a thing! Mostly we've been living at the beach or out in the bush, but it's so stealthy so we've been living in central Sydney recently - we just go into the van through the 'hobbit hole'!🤣 I highly recommend you do it - it's so worth it! Thanks again!
@@less-travelled no, I don't know what you talking about, this is the first thing of yours I've seen. Just really curious if you just think it might work or if it really works. Because those solars I think everyone can see :-)
What a unique and well thought out layout! Well done.
Great van tour!! I didn't realize VW made vans of this size. Have fun out there!
Lovely build. The wood is awesome.
Great video but have the point out the 3:25 horse shoe hanging up side down. That’s bad luck, all the magic falls out.

Oooooof! What a pad. Great work guys
Not bad eh?!
Absolutely love the build guys!!! 😜
Thank you! So glad you’re still watching! It was so much work to get this one up on time 😅🤣
Do you think the trick with the vests work? Everyone can see the solars on your roof ;-)
Hahaha we got ourselves a funny guy 😅 someone been looking at the drama we caused on Instagram then?

Curious as to how tall you both are? Wondering about internal height of the van, as I'm 1.93M tall.
