      It was extremely good! I left the pork rind with the butcher so they could sell it to make more money. I like to support and help out the local businesses in my area.

    Has anyone ever tried this recipe? I did two nights ago and I was incredibly disappointed. The recipe was explained amazingly but I was a bit skeptical since the beginning since his meat looked just pale and not seasoned to me, but I just carried on and hoped the teriyaki sauce would kick in and cover the meat with some good flavours and colors.
    Unfortunately the meat resulted just blend and with no texture, no crunchiness that you would expect in this type of dish (since it was just cooked slightly). I consider myself a pretty good home cook and followed this recipe step by step, maybe I did something wrong? Any other had similar opinion?

    Chef Ovens, I'm quite sensitive to the taste of male pork testosterone and the reason I don't really like pork meat.
    In terms of making soup, usually we can boil the meat first and sieve out the excretion hanging on the top of the boiling water to reduce/get rid of the testosterone taste.
    However, in this case where you would fry the meat directly, do you have any suggestion to solve the problem (in case I can't find female pork meat)?
    I know this might seem funny 😆 but would really appreciate your feedback 😊🙏

    • @ChefJackOvens
      @ChefJackOvens  3 года назад

      This is a very good question. Butchers and grocery stores should only be selling female pigs as like you said, the males have a bad taste. To answer your question, I would love to be able to say an answer but I’d really recommend to find out the gender of the animal before you buy it and only use females.
