It was extremely good! I left the pork rind with the butcher so they could sell it to make more money. I like to support and help out the local businesses in my area.
I know I sound like a broken record - great video and recipe!!! 👍 Love your presentation technique - clear concise but also educational - which is great for us weekend chefs wanna-bee’s 😀
Has anyone ever tried this recipe? I did two nights ago and I was incredibly disappointed. The recipe was explained amazingly but I was a bit skeptical since the beginning since his meat looked just pale and not seasoned to me, but I just carried on and hoped the teriyaki sauce would kick in and cover the meat with some good flavours and colors. Unfortunately the meat resulted just blend and with no texture, no crunchiness that you would expect in this type of dish (since it was just cooked slightly). I consider myself a pretty good home cook and followed this recipe step by step, maybe I did something wrong? Any other had similar opinion?
Great presentation, straight to the point. I also enjoyed you giving the reasons behind why you're doing what you're doing and what it will add to the dish.
Hello stock gang master it's yo boi Spyro once more. I can see some black circles and you generally seem tired. Don't overexert yourself too much try to rest a bit more. Us the og fans will stay here and wait for as long as it takes. Great recipe btw. I had made your teriyaki recipe with chicken in the past so why not try it with pork?
Hello Spyro! Glad you enjoyed the recipe. The teriyaki really does taste great with a wide variety of ingredients and pork is definitely one of them. Please enjoy it 😁
Love the way you explain every little bit.... Another delicious recipe...Thank you Chef Jack.... sending you loads of positive energies....stay safe 💕💕💕
Thank you very much! I use the Esteelle per vita range. Unfortunately at this current moment I don’t have any affiliate links. Leave it with me and I’ll sort it out today and add a link to the description of this video 😁
Chef Ovens, I'm quite sensitive to the taste of male pork testosterone and the reason I don't really like pork meat. In terms of making soup, usually we can boil the meat first and sieve out the excretion hanging on the top of the boiling water to reduce/get rid of the testosterone taste. However, in this case where you would fry the meat directly, do you have any suggestion to solve the problem (in case I can't find female pork meat)? I know this might seem funny 😆 but would really appreciate your feedback 😊🙏
This is a very good question. Butchers and grocery stores should only be selling female pigs as like you said, the males have a bad taste. To answer your question, I would love to be able to say an answer but I’d really recommend to find out the gender of the animal before you buy it and only use females.
Hi there, just found your channel! I have two questions. Firstly, if U can't find pork belly, is there an alternative you could recommend? And secondly, was the pork belly tender after cooking it that way? Thanks for your great videos !
Wow that’s not cheap! I bought a wonbok (Chinese cabbage) about 2 weeks ago and it cost me $14! I couldn’t believe how expensive they are considering on a good day you can get them for less than $3. Rice is a great alternative and will soak up the rich teriyaki 😁 please enjoy
So enjoyed this recipe. Some people hesitate to try pork belly because of the name and frankly because of not knowing what to do with it. Videos like this encourage us to get out of our comfort zone and try new foods. That to me is priceless. Thank you for sharing.
Yes I have to agree with the other viewers. “Great video as always “Jack. Sorry I was late answering haven’t been to well of late. I will have to give this ago. Take care mate and safe safe.
I watched this again before cooking it tomorrow. I also like how you mention the shelf life of the dish(es). Very helpful information for busy people with no time to cook sometimes.
I love the fact that you give the quantities in grams as well. Your recipes are great and you give really clear instructions. Keep up the good work. 😃😃
Wow, simply amazing. I love how you explain everything so simply. Thank you for another great recipe.
So glad you enjoy it! Thank you very much
Never hopped onto a notification so fast before. Lol Looks delicious as always Chef! 😊
That’s such great loyalty! I really appreciate it, thank you.
wait why didnt u inlude the ginger skins for veggie stock?
The flavour of ginger is too powerful for a simple veg, chicken or beef stock 😊
@@ChefJackOvens noted! thanks chef!
Looks like some good pork belly! Where is the skin? You could have made some awesome crackling with that!

This is absolutely amazing, Jack! Can't go wrong with pork, onions and teriyaki!
Exactly right!!
Awesome recipe, anything with pork belly and anything with teriyaki is a winner so the two combined makes for a masterpiece!

This looks delicious. Would chicken be a good substitute for non pork eaters?
Glad you think so. You can use chicken but you’d have to sear it for 3-4 minutes on either side and continue the recipe as per normal. 😁
@@ChefJackOvens thanks.
Can I use chicken? I don’t like pork
Yes you can 😊
and also veg stock recipe would be nice
I do already have a vegetable stock on the channel 😊
Banging recipe great work mate
Thank you very much
What do you recommend inplace of onion? I'm allergic to allium. I normally just leave it out but do you have any suggestions?
This looked delicious. Try roasting the sesame next time. It really makes a difference! またね
Will this work with pork shoulder?
Pork shoulder tends to be cooked a lot longer. As it’s a lot more tough. You can definitely do it though
Thanks for another great recipe.
You’re very welcome! Thank you for watching 🙏
