This episode is the first part of our 2022 trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern Minnesota during July. We took a 7-day, 6-night canoe camping trip through the heart of the BWCAW. Join us as we canoe, portage, camp, fish, and just enjoy the beauty of the BWCA.

Was at Northern Tier last August (Camp Ely). Did 85 miles. Great times. Don't miss the portage though.

It is a huge pack.. Fine for short portages... But man can it be heavy on the long ones...
Fun trip! I wish when I was younger I would’ve experienced the bwca! You’re showing those kids a great time they’ll remember for life!

Wanted to see if you have a foot ware recommendation. My current plan is to canoe/portage in Tevas and knock around camp in Crocs. Thoughts? Thanks for input!
Sorry I probably am too late for this trip, but heres what I like to use...
I hike in a merrell water shoe - similar to this - www.merrell.com/US/en/wildwood-aerosport/50241M.html
sometimes with socks (longer days) and sometimes without...
I then bring something for camp like crocs or sandals.
