Reporting In Procedures

How to properly report in to a CTA or Officer. This is absolutely VITAL to know! How you report in on TD-01 at Field Training will set the tone for who you are and what kind of cadet you are for the rest of your time at FT!

FTM sais 1 knock not 2, and 2 paces away from the desk not 3, before departing and giving verbal greeting you need to take 1 step back !

These procedures have been changed in the 2010 and 2011 manuals. You now knock once while standing centered in the doorway.

I love to compare different armies and look at the rules and discipline in each one. For example, when I want to talk to my commander who is a major I can simply call him by his name, and I may simply enter his room without saluting or performing facing movements etc., while in other countries you may never call your superiors by their names. Interesting stuff

Definitely depends on the unit, not all of the AF is like this
