Nick, You totally saved me on this subject. I do it a bit differently in ForScore than you do (I don’t have a midi controller btw). BB dictates to have 2 lines of hex code for setting tempo, 1 for CC126 and 1 for CC127. There are a couple of examples of what to do right inside BB. For a tune with a tempo of say 100 bpm, the first line of hexcode is B2 6A 00 (my BB is Ch 3 btw) and the second line is B2 6B 64. The examples in BB say to enter the actual bpm at the end of the hexcode, but you have to convert the bpm to hex (100 bpm = 64 hexcode). Works like a dream, it’s mind blowing, esp since I had given up trying to make this work. Until I saw your video, I had no clue about hexcode and how you can easily convert it to what ForScore needs. Now my Forscore is setting the tempo, setting the drum style and setting the tones on The Helix LT. It’s pure magic!!! The next step is figure out how to send a Midi out from BB to Forscore to get Autoscroll working. Thanks so much. Dennis in Vancouver, BC.
Are you sure that For Score can't just send regular midi CC messages. I use OnSong for IOS and it can any type of midi message I want. CC messages, program changes, pretty much any type of midi message. I feel like For Score should also be able to do this without getting into all that hexadecimal stuff. Then also, I realized that the tempo range for all my songs was 65bpm to 192 bpm. This is range is exactly 127. So I go to my RC-600 assignments. I select my CC info (you use CC 10), Momentary, 0, 127, Tempo- and I set the range from 65 to 192. Now when I set my midi send message in Onsong, just subtract 65 from my bpm and use that as the CC number I send. For instance: 65 BPM = CC10 with a value of 0 100 BPM = CC10 with a value of 35 120 BPM = CC10 with a value of 55 192 BPM = CC10 with a value of 127 So basically if you can figure out the BPM range of all your songs and it is smaller than 127, you can get exact bpms set on your RC-600
You can definitely not do this with ForScore. I've been using the app for 5 years now. Everyone else on the user groups say the same. Your method would have been much easier if that was in fact possible with ForScore.
@@NickleRock Well, couldn't you at least reduce your tempo range on the RC-600 assignement. I realized that my song tempo range is 65BPM to 192BPM. Which is a difference of exactly 127. By doing this each CC message I send has exactly 1 BPM. So, if my song is at 65BPM I send out a CC10 00 message. If my song is at 70 BPM I send out a CC10 05 message. And so on. Granted I guess would still need to do the hex conversion, but at least you'd be getting nice round tempo numbers.
You could. I don't use this method. I just put the video out based on the research I did to show other ForScore users some form of a workflow and help take it further. If someone only uses a certain bpm range it would potentially make things a bit simpler, like you say.
Hey. Can you help me with a Rc t00 midi problem?I want to use my Rc 600 as a midi controller. To control some simple things in stage Traxx 3..an lirycs app..the best app. Thanks
O. Do you mean how to set up the RC600 to send MIDI. If so...press menu>menu>assign>number>source=button you want to press >press right> target = MIDI message you want to send. They're at the end. You have to scroll a lot!

Awesome! That's great to hear! It's a pity we have to go through all that effort with ForScore though.
Very informative video. Thank you! I’d love to see how you send program changes from forScore. Trying to incorporate that myself!
Would you like me to make a video about that?

@@NickleRock Hi..one question, please.. can I change tempo somehow with expression pedal? I could do it on rc 300..
@Andreja Matic you can use the assign function 'tempo' for that. Page 27 in the parameter guide.
How do you connect? What cables do use? Regular usb-cables, or do you need some unit between? Thanks for help. 🙂🤘

Hey. Thanks for the comment. I am not familiar with Traxx3. Sorry!
@@NickleRock but what about the rc 600??how to send midi info??thanks again

Program changes are a breeze in ForScore, if anyone needs help, pls ask.
Hey there,
can you please help me out? I am somehow doing it wrong...
Ccan we do that via Ongsong? Anyone?
