    Thanks very much Mr. Gallagher for making this series. I've had the 600 about a week now, and am realizing it is complex and powerful. Wrote Sweetwater and Roland yesterday advocating for a course of some kind on it. I could and probably will fumble around on this for years getting all the features down, but your series helps and is the best I've found!

    I just got mine today. It took me 3 hours to get my bass to play only through the amp I set the output to but when I recorded a track it played the bass through my guitar amp and pa. I figured it out by setting the bass to only play through that output only on track 3. Was very confusing at first but now I see that it has a lot of control and I didn’t know how to set it. Anyways was a fun 3 hrs but I’m glad I figured it out. Lol

      Hi, could you be more specific on the solution? I have the same problem. Guitar and bass are routed to separate amps but come out of the same one when looped in single mode. I can’t find a fix.

    • @BRAG450
      @BRAG450 Год назад +1

      @@travisj.tritten5304 I can try. Seems you have the routing correct since it plays out the amp you want when playing but not on the loop. To fix this you have to hit Menu> Output> Routing> Track then you have to set the output for the bass to tracks 1-6 . Just pick one or multiple. I did track 3 then when you loop bass it will only record and play back the bass through track 3. Its not easy and not user friendly. There might have been a better easier solution but this worked for me. Sorry this might be hard to understand. I wish I could leave a voice message as it’s harder to explain in writing. Also I’m doing this from kind of memory since once I set it I saved and haven’t been back to dive in the menu much. Try this first and see if it helps. Also I’m not in single mode so not really sure how that changes the menus.

      So I just got mine and having the same issue. The fix that’s been suggested seems like it limits you greatly if you’re wanting to use series looping not just multi. Like, it seems if I record two instruments on one track, there is no way to separate their outputs anymore essentially? I don’t understand why the loop output setting overrides the routing. Cuz everything is perfect till you actually play the loop back. Is this just a limitation of the unit? It’s a huge one if so.

    Hi,
    I’m just about to set up my recently purchased rc-600. To save me some time with the setup I thought I’d ask you for some help. The wizard of rc600 😃
    When performing I use my voice and an acoustic guitar. Out from my pedalboard and in to the mixer, I want 4 signals: acoustic guitar (mono), my vocals (mono), looper signal (L&R). I want this setup to have the possibility to mix and eq the signals separately.
    On my old set up I used a “Panic button” pedal, which routed the vocal signal to the looper when recording harmony vocals. Is there a way in the rc600 that allows me to instead of using the panic button run the vocal signal direct to the looper and whenever I want the signal to be recorded address let’s say pedal number 9 to trigger this routing, otherwise the signal runs straight through..?
    As a thank you I’d gladly donate some coffee money to you. 😃☕️
    Thanks

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  Год назад +2

      Hi Matte, thanks for your message.
      If I understand correctly, you want to have a pedal assigned to bypass recording your vocals to a track? If this is correct, you've got a couple of options;
      1. You could run your vocals into an XLR A/B switcher and then run out of that into both XLR inputs on the RC-600. One that would record to the tracks, and one that would go straight to the designated outputs. This is probably the easiest way to do things, but without an XLR A/B, it wouldn't be that simple, I'm afraid.
      2. If you purchase an 2 way XLR splitter, this is a more affordable option. You could then run your vocal mic into the splitter and, again, run out of that into each of the XLR inputs on the RC-600. You would then need to use a couple of assigns to toggle between the 2 XLR inputs (perhaps mic mute and/or mic level) effectively using the splitter as an A/B switch and then giving you the option to record to your tracks when you wanted to, and then bypass the loops when you just want your vocals to go straight to the outputs.
      I hope this makes sense? I'm sorry there's no easy way to do things with the current firmware anyway.
      I take it you're all good with routing your vocals and acoustic to your mixer okay?
      Cheers,
      Ross

    1 Intro

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Erik, just to clarify; you would like your live guitar and vocals to go to their own individual mono outputs, and all recorded loops to go to a separate output?
      If so, then yes. However, you wouldn't be able to separate the instruments once they have been recorded to a track. A common issue when playing in single mode. Basically, if you have vocals, guitar and a bass being recorded for your verse on track 1, you can't split the output for each of those instruments again to their individual output, if that's what you'd like to do. It is frustrating, but how the looper currently works unfortunately. Hope this helps. Ross

Context: in my setup I play with a band, and from RS 600 I play piano samples, and some other guitar parts. But I was thinking about sending a click to the drummer from RC, and it was working fine until the drummer asked to put down my main guitar a bit low, but then I dont hear it properly. Here is my question: is it possible to route ONLY CLICK to the headphones, or other output, so that my guitar is muted in that output and sent directly to the amp while the drummer hears only Click?

      Hey, thanks for your comment. To answer your question; I do plan on making another video very soon about how to send a click, as it's something a get asked about quite a lot. You've got a couple of options;
      1. You can change the Rhythm to a 'click' sound and route this to a specific output, including the PHONES, and then send this to your drummer.
      2. You can record the 'click' to a specific track (as long as you're not using all 6) and then send this 'click track' to your drummer through one of the selected outputs.
      Hope this helps.

That way you'll be able to change guitar tones on the amp without it affecting the tracks on the RC-600. If you don't use the FX loop, every time you change tones on the amp, this will affect the signal coming into the looper and produce a very unpleasant sound when playing your tracks back.
