Im trying to set my rc600 like this. Track 1 to sub1R track 2 to sub1L track 3 to sub2R and track 4 to sub2L without using a pc. It don’t work! I get track 1 and 2 to sub 1 and 2 track 3 and 4 to sub 2 l and r So I can’t separate L and R from each other even I set the outs to mono. Do you have the same problem?
Thanks for the video! It looks like on windows, it shows up as an 8x2 interface. On my mac, it shows up as 8x8, but I have no idea what the other outputs do. I tried sending daw audio to the different outputs and nothing shows up on the rc-600 mixer besides on the mainL&R outputs.

my pc shows ins1, ins2, mic1 and mic 2 in output options; and in input options it shows main output, sub output1, sub output2 and phones. why is my pc recognizing inputs in rcc 600 as outputs and vise versa in vendor mode?
Hello Nick, thank you so much for your video. It helps so much! Just one question about the headphone, can I split it as Left and right on rc 600 ? I want to use it to record tracks 5 and 6. I tried but now it's still mix of tracks 5 and 6
Hey! Thank you for this amazing video. I have a question I'm having difficulty routing the output. Can you give a bit more info on how you do it? I have a PA system I use that is usually connected on the Main (mono) of the RC 600. Since the main is noe used for the mic, only that comes from there. I would Ideally like to have audio out directly from the program ( Cubase pro) to the PA. I tried using the inst2 for that but doesn't seem to work. I can use the headphones as an out for getting all of the sounds live, but if I want to mix/ edit afterwards I need to switch drives and connect the PA through bluetooth to the laptop. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi! When I select the routing in rhythm it only appears Main Sub1 and Sub2, opposed to your Main L and R, Sub L and R etc, its the latest firmware, what is happening?
Menu : Output : Setup then Stero Link options. If you turn off stereo link for Main, Sub1 or Sub2, they each split into two channels and will be available in Routing : In / Rhythm.
Hi Nick, thanks for this video! I used your technique to try to turn the RC600 into an 8x8, but to all intents and purposes, it seems like only 7 'true' outputs are possible. It seems that headphone stereo output cannot be delinked on the device, unlike main output and Sub1 and Sub2, which can be delinked. (When I click ‘menu’, ‘output’, ‘setup’, I can delink the main output,Sub1, and Sub2, but I can’t do the same for phones.) So, I can get tracks 1-6 all outputting individually in my DAW using input 1-6. However, whatever I choose to put through the phones (I’m doing guitar and microphone), comes out of input 7 and 8 in my DAW. Which basically means, I only really have 7 outputs, not 8, because 7 & 8 are identical. Curious to know if you are aware of any solutions? And also looking forward to more RC600 related videos from you :) All the best, cheers.
Thanks for the comment. In digital audio applications the guys talk about stereo as two channels as well, so from that pov. it is a 8x8 channel, but I agree that one can essentially only record 7 tracks. I hope the video helped.
you can hard pan track 5 left and track 6 right (in the setup in this video or however you like) this way in your daw you can use PHONES(L) and PHONES(R) as separate inputs
@wickydot thanks for the comment. Coincidentally, in a private message to Declan, I suggested this. I didn't want to put it here because I wasn't sure if it will work. Thanks for confirming.
@@NickleRock It does indeed work!! The only extra tip I can add is that, when you separate track 5 and 6 left and right, some tweaks need to be made to the output volume of the tracks panned L and R, in order to get all loops playing back at the same volume in the DAW :)
Just a question for anyone that might know - I managed to get this setup working in Logic Pro (which I'm super stoked about!) but I've notice that the volume level of the tracks that arrives at the computer via usb is substantially lower than what goes out of the main outputs or the headphone output on the RC600. Does anyone know about the quality of raw audio that gets sent via USB vs the quality of the audio when listening through a preamp? Even though this works I'm still tempted to invest in a 6 channel interface so that I can gain in each track in nicely on the interface. Or should this not make much/any difference?
Just wondering if you have messed around with the sample rate and audio drivers to achieve a better latency since this video and what is the lowest ms you could achieve? Thankyou for the video it's really helpful.
Thanks for your comment. Have not. My idea is to just 'dump' my gigs on the pc as I perform and then edit the tracks later for videos, so I don't need low latency at this stage.
Hey Nick thanks a lot for the video! clarified many doubts. Now the problem I have is that the output comes from the sound of the daw (pc) and the sound of the guitar passing through the pedalboard as if it had no USB. For example: if I use the guitar rig for effects, the sound I hear is the guitar without the effect and the guitar after the plugin effect. Both at the same time. Do you know what it could be? Do you also have this result? thank you again!
@Victor, thanks for your comment. I do not have that problem, but a few things come to mind. The best would be to post a video so I can see exactly what you are doing, and then I can comment.
in ableton, none of the routing works, chose asio as driver, rc 600 as input and output device, activated all the input and output ports of rc 600 in config. No matter which port I chose in the audio track ext in and ext out, the track records all the instruments and uses main output to throw sound out.
Hi @beenay18. Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I only know Cubase. I have never worked with Ableton. Maybe post the question in the RC600 Facebook group. I'm sure someone there will have answers for you regarding Ableton.
Hey french boy lost around here, got the driver and all working, but i'm lost with the routing on my DAW (I use Ableton), was wondering if you had time to help out because there's not that much ressources around. Goal is to be able to have a Guitar -> amp -> RC 600, a drum module in mono, and being able to record VST piano to the RC 600 so it can be recorded on a loop. Was kind of working with my previous setup but i'd like to try yours, it looks like it would solve a lot of problems that i encounter
Thank you so much for this video, very helpful! Im using Ableton live 11 and cannot get my RC600 to work. In the preferences it comes up with error messages under Driver type, audio input device, and channel config. Ive downloaded the driver off the boss website for Mac os 14. In my mac system settings the audio is coming through loud and clear. Ive configured the pedal basically the same as the output settings shown in this video. But in Ableton it doesn't want a bar of it. Any help/wisdom would be greatly appreciated! have a great day!
