Troy Deeney is my footballing hero had 2 tattoos of troy on my watford sleeve he's a Legend and he gave 100% on the pitch a natural leader a honest guy
Brilliant this. Really insightful and honest. Always found this with Troy as he always came across straight and direct in his interviews as a player, more recently as a pundit and on the radio etc. Interesting watch and was a decent, solid forward in his time. Could listen to him all day. 👏
Yes yes Mr Deeney, an a massive Yes to you guys too for the pod an allowing/ encouraging a wonderful guest to wax freely. Just subscribed with thanks an baited breath ❤❤❤❤. Loving yaz work ❤ lads 🎉
Love him or hate him, don’t think you could hate Troy deeney. Good on him for what he’s achieved and he’s taking to the tv pundit side quite well of late after that classic drumming down of his forest Green players/team mates.
Thanks for the informative podcast, always respected Troy one of the last genuine Target men, those headed goals. TBH the whole world has changed with technology, our new generation X has become over reliant on tech than hard work. It’s funny our generation used to be told by our elders we didn’t face real hardships, but looking back I’m like only life’s journey shows and probably teaches us a lot. Thanks again for the entertaining pod/Interview.
@@TheNightmareAssasinClearly you can't read. Check his stats. They actually pretty good. Not as prolific as some but he was a target man and hold up merchant alot id the time.
Really good interview,I prefer when you do current or ex players over agents but then doing agent ones might be beneficial to people as well and hope troy goes into punditry as he's really honest and down to earth
Was expecting to hear him say something about playing with Ighalo, quite enjoyed their combination but yes that goal against Leicester is a one in a generation moment
Great interview, frank and honest. A great role model for kids involved in the game today that are starting to go down the wrong route. Troy picked one of the worst comparisons possible though by using Becks goal against Greece. That was definitely one of ”those” moments you know exactly where you were and what you were doing, like Michael Owen’s goal against Argentina and England beating Germany 5-1 in their own backyard. “5-1 and even Heskey scored 5-1” 😂
Fully agreed, road to pro in any sport, for majority of kids isn't about talent, when you to the top 5% physical talent wise, overall (speed, strength, agility, quickness ) are all very much the same, the ones who separate themselves are truly tunnel visioned into the goal.
I watched the Nile Ranger interview before this. Nile has, and I hope he does, still someway to go before he evolves into a more mature mindset such as Troy’s.
Not just because I’m a villa fan but I genuinely diddnt like Troy deeney and I thought maybe hearing his story will maybe change my opinion on him and I might like him but it diddnt he’s still a knob
Every time I see Troy Deeney,I always remember that “I’ll kill this muthaeffer “choke he made of Joe Allen. Tbh I though damn this lad definitely lost the plot, but then again I have been told I’ve got loose screws too lol
Look how far you got without putting the work and discipline imagine if you did graft proper definitely England cap and probably would of been on a Owen tip but atheist your mistakes can show the youngsters always work hard (a famous case of what work you put in is what you get back e.g results count) you can definitely be top striker on your day
4 jack and cokes on the way to training and another 4 on the way back everyday is alcoholism. Sad he still can't admit it. But a good lesson for others. Its a hard thing to beat.
I said at the time fgr should have given hkm time he would of kept them up or that woman they employed for one game would of kept them up! But dales hate messed it all up for fgr
Good interview but it burns how easy he got the opportunity some people like myself would not drink nothing but just never got the chance.. chasing the pound is boring easy to say when you have it. Good luck to you seems like life comes easy mate
Real G, has the humility to be honest and open
Exactly
This guy is very articulate, I can actually listen to him without getting bored or overwhelmed.
Articulate 😅
🤣🤣🤣 you from Brum as well?
Well done Troy to come out and talk about these subjects, bery brave by him doing that might encourage others to talk.

Real idiot
Enjoyed this interview, best of luck to his daughter on trail at Man City

In my opinion Troy is a very honest person and was a talented man. Who are we to judge. God bless him

Alot of respect for him, enjoy your family time mate.
What a lovely guy who seems to be doing what he needs to to accept his responsibility for his past to change his future.
I was in the stand behind the Knockeart goal for THAT GOAL. Devastated !!
People who put him down should maybe watch this...really honest..watford were good for him and he repaid them..Good luck troy in the future
Should have played for Jamaica 🇯🇲 when asked, he’d have been one of the first names on the team sheet.
Really he is shite. His ego wouldn’t fit on the plane
I'm sure his 5 goals a season would have had the other teams shaking in their boots
@TheNightmareAssasin teams like Trinidad, Cuba, Panama, USA and Canada?
@@realdeal8225 He wouldn’t scare USA 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦 but the rest he could scare.

Troy was as much a functioning alcoholic as Taylor Swift claims to be.
4 cans of Jack Daniels....what is a can of Jack Daniels????
Probably means jack daniels and cola (comes ready mixed in a can)
1.7 units a can, so basically 4 330 Heineken beers. Just taking the edge of the night before
Cola with a hint of whiskey flavour.its not hardcore it’s lightweight
