He's a leader of a nation and he's super xenophobic
For me he’s like a diet less sugar version of doctor doom that’s how I’ve always seen him. Ruler of his own nation and can’t stomach the normal landers. Despises half the mutants too. Only respects a handful of heros & anti villains. But will work with anyone that benefits him ‘good or bad’

I love how they did the parallels. They are both peoples who were oppressed and love their people but they go about protecting their ppl in different ways
Namor was never a villain. He's an anti-hero in the comics. He's very cool. I'm happy he's finally in the mcu.
Cannot wait to see how Marvel represents my Mexican ancestry. And love how Kukulkan moves like a hummingbird which in our Aztec culture, hummingbirds are the symbol of strength in life's struggle to elevate consciousness. From the looks of it, it may be a film where Wakanda is the actual villiian and vise versa. And at the very end, they will coexist with one another to fight the "true" villian in the film which may be man? Or possible another character that has been under wraps?! This movie I believe will be a deep meaning film in regards of the battles of two cultures that they will not introduce a new character that will in a way ruin its feel. Cannot wait! AND FYI: All Mexicans are likable which makes sense. hahaha

There's another big bad. Namor is more of an anti-hero like Batman. In the comics his main antagonist was Attuma.
For some reason I keep coming back to the scene in the last Avenger movie when they had the virtual meeting with Natasha, Rocket, Captain Marvel and Rhodes when they mention something happening under the sea. And Okoye response was something like it’s nothing or something like that. Idk if it has some kind of connection but they sure did do something!!!! Idk I could be trippin

I’m excited that so many different kinds of cultures and people are being represented on screen in Marvel- not just for fictional characters but actors too. Marvel has been too white for too long. This is going to be so rich and I can’t wait.

What culture? Mexico is a dump. The only "culture" it has is drugs and violence. I've been up and down Mexico, you can't lie to me. There is no real culture there, just savagery and tribalism. Even the government is a cartel! But yes this movie is doing a great job of showing Mexican culture, i.e. invading another country's border and flooding it with violence.
Jei stay looking for the smoke. LOL. I don't think Namor is the big bad of the film. I see him coming in with the agression to Wakanda over something and starting a fight. However, something will probably happen to both sides and as y'all mentioned, they come together. It's screaming the "enemy" of my enemy is my friend type scenario. I can't wait for the 10th!! Day One!
Wakanda and Talucan (Namor's Kingdom) are well aware of each other in the MCU. The clips they've released so far show that.
Namor seems to be worried because Wakanda revealed the truth about their country to the world. That seems to be a really huge deal for both Kingdoms but Namor is clearly against that. With the Infinity War fight in Wakanda and the Thanos Quest already taking place he's worried that Wakanda might ally with Man and turn on them cuz Talucan is on the same level of advancement as Wakanda. They use vibranium too and it seems to be part of who they are as a people.
Namor, like Black Panther, will do anything to protect his people. That's my theory anyway.
P.S: It would've been so dope if Chadwick was around to go up against Namor. That's the true rivalry.
Wakanda isn't the aggressor in the comics or in the MCU. No doubt Namor is the intruder (Angela Bassett asks, "Who are you?"). The question is *Why* does Namor attack Wakanda in the MCU.
We know why he attacked in the comics.

Nah they made Atlantis more historically accurate lmao. Atlantis was never a Greek society nor a Roman one. It was in the Atlantic ocean probably in the area of the Bahamas/ Carribean. And they reformed this character from Roman to Sin Amor Namor. (even if it was a rights issue - they did so marvelously, pun intended.)
@@urbnctrl thos is bullshit, the legend comes from the Egyptians - Greeks- Roman's then to the western European countries. These south american countries were cut off from the world historically speaking, so there's no way Atlantis is mexican. Also this Atlantis was in the dark.
@@Snow_Dog-px1qu Just because the legend tells a story about an advanced nation - especially when it is told by Romans and Greeks - does not make that legend culturally Greco-Roman sir.. It specifically tells about a land in the sea that is NOT part of the Roman nor Greek, or Egyptian empires..
@@urbnctrl it's not Mesoamerican because they were cut off from the rest of the world at the time. Namor is based on an Irish poem or something like that. He's not some fat mexican dude fighting colonisation - he's a colossal douche bag in the comics.
