When I watched this again tonight, it had been awhile since I watch it. Anyway as I watched, I thought of the many people and especially guitar players who think they know what makes someone a good guitar player or not. I don't know how many comments I have seen that put Clapton down saying " so and so" is better because they can play faster than Eric etc. etc. Being able to play a million notes a second, doesn't make you a great guitar player. I have been playing guitar for 50+ years now, and I am still as big of an Eric fan as I was in 1967 (when I first started listening to him). Its not just that Eric is a great guitar player IMO, what separate's Eric from the endless list of most other guitarists Is that he can also write hit after hit and he has a great i voice imo. An example of what makes him good....I can play this on the guitar note for note and so can ten thousand other guitar players....but NOBODY on the planet can sound exactly like Eric...and make it sound this good :-)
I've seen Eric live long time ago at the colesium the just one night concert.he was younger and very good on guitar along with Albert Lee. Unforgettable.

Yes, he did, i cant stop watching this video, i am a blues guitar player, and Eric clapton has alywas been my mentor, and stil, and i am from Saudi Arabia, and the culture of the blues is really rare, thats what i am sad, but i have a plan, i am trying to introduce my community to the blues, so i will be the first one, and i hope this plan will work ..
Yes he did. For that last solo...however I think he could have easily played it finger style and it would have been awesome. When I play that solo inevitably it’s better with a pick but the rest of the song is great either way
Actually I think maybe it has to do with who posts the video. In other words someone called Fedo Nev posted this one. I know I commented about this song a couple years ago and I do not see it here any more.....Not to mention when I did post a comment there were a ton of comments at that time. So probably at that time someone else ( other than Fedo Nev) posted the same video...and so the comments start new. Maybe someone out there knows more about this subject than I do?...but this is my guess.

So, this is what a Eric Clapton's soundcheck looks like... For me, it would be an accomplishment of a whole life haha
Do the possible now and eventually you'll be doing the impossible
have to be thankful that this video is up.

ITS ONLY BECAUSE OF YOU CLAPTON THAT I KEEP ON KEEPING ON.......
