This song doesn’t get enough love. It’s a sweet uplifting song; one of my favorite from the 80’s. I’ve had the album since it came out.

First concert I ever went to. Mr mister was the opening act for heart. This song was huge at the time. Around 85/86. Good times.

Latin - Kyrie - Lord - Eleison - Have Mercy
Lord Have Mercy on the road I must travel! Ruach is Hebrew for Wind, so he mentions:
The wind blows hard against this mountainside
Across the sea into my soul
It reaches into where I cannot hide
Setting my feet upon the road
So he is being filled with the Holy Spirit.
The group got our generation into studying Latin, NT Greek, & Hebrew to understand this song!
This was released in 1985 in my Senior Year of High School, and I felt like the future was unfolding with this song, as I would graduate in 1986, and my feet would hit the road for college, and I KNEW Yahweh/God would be with me.
Song is as great today as it was 38 years ago! The entire "Welcome To The Real World" album is a treat to listen to!

This was really honest. The review was impressive, and so was BizMatik for not biting his lip off during it. I like the song. It was designed as a pop radio hit, and it was.

Sorry u didn't like it. The song actually was spiritual. A prayer. He points up, smiling and full of joy through the whole song. The song always made me happy. Highway in the light ....yes it was 80s. He also sang broken wings. I believe that one was #1 . This one I believe was top 10.

'Broken wings' is so much better! They are a bit cheesy, and i knew this wouldn't be exciting, but i promise that song is better!

I don’t want to sound condescending, because everyone is entitled their opinion about whether they like a song or not. But when you say: “There’s not much to the song”, it is because you do not understand the song, probably do not know some of the lyrics (especially the phrase ‘Kyrie Ellison’ ) and their meaning. I would suggest that you research this and reflect on your statement. There is more to this song than you know. Just sayin’!

This was a good 80’s song for the radio, but if you want your mind blown listen to some Tool. If you haven’t heard them start with the song The Pot. Mr. Mister did have another better song called Broken Wings.

Hey, Bizmatik, you mispronounced the song's title, it's pronounced "Keer-yeh"

For what it's worth, it's keer-ee-ay, not like Kyrie Irving. And yeah, it was 1985, nothing but hairspray and keyboards. Not exactly Led Zeppelin.

They only really had 2 big hits. The first one was Broken Wings. Which is better than this one

To girly to 80s if I listened to this around my friends I'd probably get my ass kicked and I'd deserve it
