Love this song!
Man does this song bring out a great memory for me. I downloaded this song to my iPod right before I left for my high school senior trip to Europe, and I finally reached it while we were driving along the Mediterranean Sea. I soon found myself singing along to it, and instead of shutting me up, my classmates told me to plug my iPod into the bus's PA system, and we ALL sang along to the song, repeating it like four times so everybody got the lyrics right! The sky was clear save for a few wispy clouds, the sea was sapphire blue, and we were having the time of our lives. One of my favourite memories of high school full stop
The title of the song translates from Greek meaning "Lord Have Mercy" .
Great song to react to!!!! I actually saw them in concert in Atlanta with Tina Turner back in the mid 80's.
One of the things I really admire about you Chase is your devotion to your faith.
Hi, Chase! Wow! I requested this song just a few hours ago and it is already up on your channel! Thank you so much for your speedy response.
"Kyrie" is a song by American pop rock band Mr. Mister, from their album Welcome to the Real World. Released around Christmas in 1985, it hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1986, where it was number 1 for two weeks. It also hit the top spot on the Billboard Top Rock Tracks chart for one week. In the UK, the song peaked at number 11 in March 1986.
In Greek, "Kýrie, eléison" means "Lord, have mercy" and is a part of many liturgical rites in both Eastern and Western Christianity. It is a prayer that asks "Lord, have mercy" or "Christ, have mercy." According to lead singer Richard Page, the entire song is essentially a prayer, asking God to watch over us as we go through our journeys in life.
Welcome to Mister Mister, Mister Vickerss.
From your response, I'm guessing you weren't told what the title means. In Greek, it translates to, "Lord, Have Mercy."
Great song! I remembered it once the lyric "Kyrie eleison down the road that I must travel" kicked in! 😀
Hey dude , you must react next , to their super banger song "Broken wings", and also to this one "Is this Love"
You must have heard this back in 1986
Yes that sound is different. It's called an intro
Broken Wings is a Far superior song!
Actually, "Kyrie" is the far superior song, a much more rousing hand-clapper!
Matter of taste/opinion. My opinion... along with millions of others' is that Kyrie is great, Broken Wing just good.
