Yes she's more skilled. Ahsoka has ability called plot armor which helped her in many situations. ( In reality she is more skilled than average padawan tho)
Also Magnaguards, like their master Grievous, are made to be significantly weaker then their theoretical purpose in this serious. They are supposed to be intelligent adaptable droids specifically built to fight Jedi. Instead they are slow moving idiots that crudely swing their sticks one by one with the reaction time of a sloth. In the series anything related to droids is automatically made to be buffoonish.
Came to watch this after her fight with Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister. Interesting seeing how much she improves. Now watching this after her dual with Maul and then Vader. Holy shit she got so good.
Ahsoka's grown so much since this movie. If Magnaguards were still around in Star Wars Rebels, she could deal with at least six of them by herself and Grievous himself would be reduced to scrap metal. Even Dooku would be foolish to underestimate her since she held her own against the man who killed him.
I never liked how they underpowered the Magnaguards. The only time I saw the Magnaguards circling their target and striking from multiple directions was in Season 4 Episode 4 when Anakin was fighting them and Dooku. This and seeing two Magnaguards go down from a simple headshot in Season 5 Episode 4 were probably the low points for the Magnaguards in The Clone Wars.
Like Grievous they seem to have decided that all droid stuff was to be "baffoonish" in this series no matter whatever else is was supposed to be. I think the Super tactical droids are one the only exceptions.
@@TheWhiskyDelta "In this series" They were always like this, even in the Clone Wars of 2003 Shaak Ti was able to fight alone against thirteen of them and destroyed several during the fight. In the movies, Anakin and Obi-Wan killed a lot of them without much effort. They are only a threat for the Jedi when they are outnumbered.
Geometry Dash TankEm I don't think this is the beginning of the Clone Wars. I think this is after four to six months since almost everyone is very well experienced with battles and such and have met with each other at least once with the exception of Grievous (Anakin is a Jedi knight and only met Grievous fact-to-face in ROTS, Obi-Wan is Jedi master and on the Council and first met Grievous in the first season, and they have already engaged with Ventress before [hence, Anikan's incensed attitude and Obi-Wan's flirtatiousness at her]). However, since both sides have obviously been building armies years in advance for this war, I would think that making droids that were specially designed to engage with Jedi one-on-one would've been a priority since none of the Separatists knew of the Clone Army except for Dooku. They were also made by Grievous's order, since he observed the rest of the battle droids to be incompetent soldiers and not warriors like where he was from; Grievous needed droids that could fight against Jedi that he had sworn to eradicate.
***** It may not be the beginning, but grievous joined the Separatist Alliance a few months prior to the first battle of Geonosis, giving them little time to make his specialized guards. At the battle of Geonosis, in the arena, he kills his first Jedi with a Magna Guard's staff. The Magna Guards could have been made for Dooku, but I highly doubt he wanted them at the time. He later has Magna Guards, but he easily defeated Anakin and Obi-Wan within a few minutes without help and put up a great battle with Yoda then as well. I guess I'm getting off the point, the Magna Guards had to be made......., oh, shoot, just realized here were originally Magna Guards with Dooku when he found Grievous in the water of his crashed ship. So Magna Guards were produced later than B1's and B2's and Droidekas, but before Grievous joined the CIS. I guess these aren't prototypes or whatever, but they seemed super weak.
To properly use the force, the force wielder has to be able to focus and concentrate! Kinda hard when 3 Magnaguards are attacking you while you have to keep in mind that you have a baby on your back!
It's rather interesting how one MagnaGuard wears a cape. The capes were purposefully for Grievous' MagnaGuards, as they are Kaleesh in origin. Unless Dooku obtained these guards directly from Grievous, I can't imagine why Dooku would outfit a guard with a Kaleesh cape, especially since the act of adding the capes was meant to insult Dooku and the Confederacy who considered him (Grievous) a droid.
I wonder if someone could manage to recreate this scene with Unreal Engine or something, just like it was done with the dialogue between Anakin and Obi-Wan concerning Ahsoka’s departure from the Order (that was in an unfinished TCW episode). Surely there are other worthy scenes in early TCW that could benefit from enhanced animation quality.
Remember, those staffs have a weird twisted tendril assembly at the tip. Those tendrils (Remember they are energized as well as being made of lightsaber resistant material) could still theoretically get caught.
+Zachary Damascus That lucky surprise bisection was actually a move from Form 4 lightsaber combat, called the 'Hawk-Bat Swoop' manoeuvre! Indicts that she is a Form 4 Ataru user like Qui Gon and EP1 Kenobi.
"Plot armor" Why? The mangaguards were always like this, one alone is not a threat. Even in the old series Shaak Ti was able to fight alone againts fifteen of them without problem. In the movies, Obi-Wan and Anakin destroyed several of them like toys. For someone like a Ahsoka (a known skilled Padawan choosen by Yoda to fight in the war) struggle for beat three magnaguards seems accurate
You can see how much the animation quality went up as the series went along.
yeah these fights feels kinda choppy, but still it was entertaining

Is no one going to talk about how R2 actually tried to fight a Magnaguard even though he's not built to fight?
R2 getting delusions of grandior again...
He did get an upgrade later on after the clone wars to be extremely lethal and ended up destroying an entire star destroyer all by himself
R2 don't fuck around
Is Ahsoka more skilled than an average Padawan? Because that's what it seemed like here.

She was already a senior Padawan here.
Well, Yoda didn't choose her for no reason
*_Yes, however this fight was PIS._*
Came to watch this after her fight with Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister. Interesting seeing how much she improves. Now watching this after her dual with Maul and then Vader. Holy shit she got so good.
Well, I had to train a lot. It wasn't my first time seeing Maul, though. Vader....well, he was pretty hard.
Ahsoka Tano I love you Ahsoka 🙂
Ya she fought 3 inquisitors, Maul, Vader and Palpatine in 20 minutes lol
Ahsoka Tano cringe
Oh god I forgot how choppy the 2008 animation was. It improved exponentially by season 2, and did it again through seasons 3 and 4.
Especially now
To be fair, this kind of technology was new at the time
Yep
@@yaboifrankie like is said earlier I’m not gonna throw shade at it since this kind of technology was relatively new at the time
You gotta respect r2s effort
0:18 Physics just took a dump.
It was the will of the force!
I need someone like R2 in my life. At 0:12, man's is severely outclassed and still tries to throw hands
It's been years since I've seen this movie in full, and I totally forgot that R2 actually tried to attack a magna guard with his tazer.
from this to battling darth maul... her development is awesome!

Agreed.
So true!!!!
Not true
I'm pretty that's what people call "OP af" 🙄
Tano! Stop making my MagnaGuards look like *GARBAGE!* >:v
+General Grievous Yeah, I thought those guys were specifically designed to take on Jedi.
They were probably going easy on her, since she's a padawan.
+TFA Ultimate Prowl The Jedi in this show have the power of the writers. They ''somehow'' always win
there probally only good against clones lmao
if only you had billions of magna guards to command mabe you could have killed jedis a lot faster@_@
Being a padawan is harder than I thought...
True
She grew up so much. ;(
Rarely younglings/Padawans can destroy MagnaGuards, but Ahsoka Tano was the first to destroy 3.
Ahsoka is DOPE!!!
Ahsoka is a prodigy. This fight clearly shows that

The CIS was nothing but a lowpoint in this show.
So, at what point does those droids actually become a threat? I thought that they were specifically designed to take on Jedi.

Maybe the cape means to indicate a Magnaguard superior in rank to the others? Though I don't think they actually have ranks..
Well, as stated, the capes were given to the guards by Grievous to recreate his Kaleesh elite guard, the Izvoshra.
The Magnaguards are primarily for Grievous. As his superior, Dooku can request/order Grievous to let him use them whenever he pleases though.
Its wierd looking back at the start compared to where we are now with The Bad Batch. The animation has improved so much.
Anakin in his head all like fucking sand that's why he didn't here ahsoka

Sand is course and rough and irritating and gets everywhere

Hey can you upload the scene where Ezra finds out about his parents Death from the Lothal Governor?
That wasn't the "Lothal governor", he was an inmate of an imperial prison who escaped with Mira and Ephraim Bridger.
+Will M (Acclimate) He was the former governor of Lothal prior to imprisonment, he said so in the episode.
My bad, sorry about the misunderstanding.
At 0:30, right after the frames with R2, look at how she blocks the magna guard weapon with her lightsaber. I don't think that's how lightsabers work.
Remember, those staffs have a weird twisted tendril assembly at the tip. Those tendrils (Remember they are energized as well as being made of lightsaber resistant material) could still theoretically get caught.
