    The works begins at 8:04 if you want to skip all the ado at the beginning. From start to finish, the complete refurbishment took less than an hour using the methods shown.

    I appreciate the information regarding the threads on the width coil. I thought perhaps I received one from a bad batch.

    I much prefer these real time videos with the voice over vs the music.

    I've experienced both flyback scenarios after cap kit. Sometimes the flyback dies within a week, sometimes the it will last many years. Probably a good idea to have a flyback in stock just in case

    i had a converted pac machine about 10 or 12 years ago and it got destroyed and thrown away without my permission and the only thing i was able to save was that same board, still have it and the only thing it needed was a full rebuild, wish i still had the whole thing but atleast i can rebuilt and save the main monitor board

    Do you know what monitor and chassis is installed in a Gauntlet dark legacy. Video or crt is very dim. I'm looking to do a recap kit.

      Either a K7500 or an NT-2701.

      Do you have a website or business address? Just in case I can not accomplish it. I'm looking at sending it to you for rebuilding.

      No. I’m just a regular guy doing this in my spare time. It’s not a business for me. But if the image is dim, a rebuild isn’t likely going to fix it. That’s usually a tube issue if you turn up your color pots/contrast/brightness/etc and that doesn’t work.

      Greetings. You will need to adjust your horizontal width coil.

      @@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair when i adjust the h amp it works fine but it works like i have a 20 inch screen...it closes very much and at maximum it goes like 20inch...i adjust the coil but nothing happens...do i have to replace it?

    • @paulosdiavolikis1572

      or maybe to replace some caps...around the remote control it has several capacitors about 6 - 7 parts 10μF 63v

    • @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair
      @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, you’ll likely need to replace the width cap, but I’m not sure which one exactly on your chassis.

    Might be wise, at least, to inspect the flyback for any hairline cracks and replace if seen.

    • @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair
      @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair  6 месяцев назад

      True, but the G07 is not as prone to cracked flyback pins like other chassis’ are. The PCB will crack before the joints will.

      @@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair I was referring to the flyback unit itself, not solder joints. 😆
